I am hoping Tali has the influence to persuade the Quarian people to join shepard in the war against the Reapers, but i am also hoping that you can help change her opinion on the geth, because until you resolve their rivalry, neither side will have the resources or desire to help you, while their enemy is helping you too.

I hope so too, since in my canon save the only allies I will most likely have are the Krogan, Quarians and Rachni..hopefully the non heretic geth as well. Turians, Asari and the remaining races went down the drain with me not saving the council and the Baterians are not likely to help me save earth after the incident with them in arrival.

Barring the used of a giant weapon of mass destruction or extreme help from one of the other galactic races, the Quarians have little chance of surviving a war with the Geth. Quarians used to have a population in the billions when the Geth first attacked and now are down to 17 million approximately, and that was before the Quarians had their current extreme immune system complications  (although they always had some immune deficiencies). 17 million Quarians (not all of these are combatants either) vs what is presumed to be thousands of Geth starships and billions of Geth mobile platforms, are not the best of odds.  You could argue that the attack on the citadel left them weakened, but those Geth were just a splinter group of the main Geth populous. 

The time of the Reaper invasion is the best time to convince both Geth and Quarians that they should reliquish their hostilities toward one another, as they can unite to face a common enemy which could get them communicating with eachother (as has already taken place in my ME event between Tali and Legion) Geth can survive happily in space so it is unlikely that real estate Issues should pop up during the intergrattion of the two factions, plenty of harvestable resources out there as well.

Hey all, firstpostomg!!! Just finished catching up..what a ride. I've been on a huge Fan Fiction kick for awhile now, star wars and other games, and wanted to try ME FF. So in a post on these forums I saw a link to Razor's Edge and checked it out. LOVED it, and its sequel Dark Witness.

Was wondering if anyone has any knowledge of similar S+T FF pieces I may enjoy. Finding a great piece like R.E. really psyched me up. I had read earlier that StellarMagic had been working on something, if thats finished or any good could someone provide a link? ty in advance.

Also, to add to the Tali count:
Zaeed's loyalty mission is one of my favorites because I can't remember many missions that involve a cutscene where my squadmates just chilled for a second while I was talking to someone, they're always just standing stiff and boring. That's why I loved seeing this cinematic on that mission:

i agree with much that you said. and have been around the ME ffs alot recently, but as for recomondations that depends...i prefer a level of humor in them others not so much if you do look at inglorys bosh'tets

Good fics?

Inglorious Bosh'tets is a side splittingly hillarious ride.
Reckoning is good, but is seriously painful to read. It is THAT dark and sick, the warnings are there for a VERY good reason.
Setrus' Shell of a Hero and Spirit of Heroism are fantastic, easily up there with Razors Edge. Michael is an awesome Shepard.
Anything by ElectricZ, while not Shepard+Tali, is good. "Second" manages to keep our favourite quarian in character while casting her as an antagonist (it works, trust me). And "Friends Like These" is a crack up.
Rose Tinted Contact Lenses has written plenty of delightful fluff.
Can't remember the author, but "Doctor/Patient Confidentiality" is a charming moment with Tali and Professor Awesome.

Reckoning is good. My only complaint is that it seemed a little predictable with how dark it is. I wont say who, but I knew the instant a certain character was introduced, that that said character would die at some point, and I knew what they would do in regards to the story.

The First Human Spectre by Octo8. Because paragons can raise hell too.
Spectre by Precept. Very well written with a slowly budding ME1 talimance and a Shepard with an Ahab like mad on for Cerberus.

And EVERYONE needs to read The Naked Pen's Interregnum. A truly mantastic tale of the other half of Team Dextro and his time on Omega.

I'll recommend Calinstel's "To Survive" trilogy.

To Survive: Alliances
To Survive: Terminus

Not only it's really Tali/Shep centric trilogy, which starts right after Collectors base is destroyed, but then it took quite different approach, than what the plot in ME3 seems to be. Like there are no Reapers attacking on Earth or killing 300k batarians and Shep being at trial (well yet anyway) as this story was started long before those news were released.
But what makes this trilogy so good, other than great Tali/Shep, is that it had interesting story of how Shep is trying to unite the Galaxy against the Reapers. And there is also definitely most detailed story of how this fight between Quarians and Get would be solved. The whole To Survive: Alliances story basically deal with this conflict. I also find Authors way to write Quarian cultur really believable. (But that's just me).

Only sad thing is that the last part of trilogy is either abandoned or then writers is just taking really damn long break as it had been 4 months since last update.

Also, to add to the Tali count:

Yeah, there should be more of those "chilling" moments during the missions.

I can only think two of them. One is during Zaeed's loyalty and other is during Thane's dossier mission.
