Well, if you don't like realistic voice acting... you pay the price.
Jennifer Hale can't VA a soldier. She just can't.

Oh, and there's Kelly, too. (Even though you don't get Paramour in ME2 for some reason)

Im not a soldier either so in this case it fits (infiltrator), plus it didn't feel right to swap to male shepard after 2 games. Even though the voice acting had improved some.

I wasn't talking about the class.
Shep's still a marine, no matter the class.

...and you're right. Jennifer did improve a little in 3. But not enough.

I always though that Jennifer Hales voice was ok as a soldier, reminded me of Major kusanagi from Ghost in the Shell. Wasn't necessarily the best voice, but at least i don't hear Zapp Brannigan each time i enter a conversation.

Zapp Brannigan? I was honestly more reminded of Master Chief.

Big. Stupid. Jellyfish.

Now look at a picture of Zapp, now back at the words.
Cannot unsee.

"Shepard, listen to me. She didn't betray the Council. No, far from
it. She was a hero who died for her people. She carried out her mission
knowing full well what was going to happen. Self-sacrifice... because
that was her duty.

Tali's defection was a ruse set up by the Council. It was all a
big drama staged by them so they could get their hands on the
Philosopher's Legacy, and Tali was the star of the show. They
planned it so that they could get the Legacy that Colonel Volgin
inherited and destroy the Shagohod at the same time. Only a legendary
hero like Tali could have earned Volgin's trust. Finding out where
the Philosopher's Legacy was hidden was to be her greatest mission.
Everything was going according to plan... but then something happened
that no one could have predicted. Colonel Volgin fired an Council-made
nuclear warhead at Sokolov's research facility. Wrex demanded that
the Council provide proof that it wasn't involved. They couldn't
just abort the operation to steal the Legacy, so the operation itself
was greatly expanded and revised.

The authorities on the council knew that in order to prove its innocence
they'd have to get rid of Tali'Zorah and that one of their own would have
to do the job. The public couldn't be allowed to find out about it, not
ever. This, they concluded, would be the best way to keep the whole
thing under wraps. Tali'Zorah wouldn't be allowed to come back home alive.
And she wouldn't be allowed to kill herself. Her life would be ended by
her most beloved... that was the way the council wanted it.
That was the mission she was given. And she had no choice but to carry
it out... her death at your hands was duty she had to fulfill.

Out of duty, she turned her back on her own comrades. A lesser woman would have been crushed by such a burden. The taint of disgrace will follow her to her grave. Future generations
will revile her: On Rannoch, as a despicable traitor with no sense of
honor; and on Tuchanka, as a monster who unleashed a nuclear catastrophe.
She will go down in official history as a war criminal, and no one will
ever understand her... that was her final mission.

And like a true
soldier, she saw it through the end. But I think she wanted you, of all
people to know the truth. She wanted to live on in your memory. Not as a
soldier, but as a woman. But... she was forbidden to tell you herself.
And that's why she told me.Shepard, history will never know what she did. No one will ever learn the
truth. Her story, her debriefing... will endure only in your heart. Everything
she did, she did for her people. She sacrificed her life and her honor
for her native land. She was a real hero. She was a true patriot."

Yes. Virmire and the reaper research facility have been wiped out without a trace...I understand sir but they were necessary sacrifices...
Yes the council has taken care of Tali Zorah themselves...
I believe the krogans will be satisfied...
Hackett is finished, your time has finally arrived...
Yes, the Asari councillor is relying on us to keep a lid on the whole affair, we have them by the quads. It should make a valuable trump card in future negotiations...
Yes Admiral of course, I'll keep the Alliance informed...
[END COMM]

Yes, it's me. Tali Zorah has accomplished her mission. The philosophers legacy is now saferly with us...
In human hands...
With this money, yes the philosophers can finally be revived...
The film we handed the council was a fake.
Tévos must be in uproar right about now...
I'm afraid so, only half the money has made it back into human hands...
The krogans must still have part of the legacy...
Yes the weapon has been reduced to ashes..
Thats right Virmire has been obliterated by the cain launchsher we brought in aswell...
Yes that was Tali Zorahs work to...
Speaking of which i have obtained something from Virmire which you may be interested in...
Its a revolutionary new way to control infantry..perhaps it might just come in handy some day.
Yes we have John- I mean shepard to thank for that. Hackett believed it aswell.
...yes they bought our story. I don't think theyll be making a fuss.
The state of war has been lifted aswell and C-sec still hasn't discovered my true identity.
They have no idea that I've been triple-crossing them
...i will continue my activities as a contact within the new government.
...Yes it appears that no one knew that i was cerberus!
Of course im always at Cerberus disposal.

Mr. Illusive man.

Since I completed my second playthrough about a week ago, I've been playing multiplayer and haven't touched single player...I think I'm experiencing Tali withdrawal :crying:.  MP is fun and all, but it just isn't the same without her.  Playing as a Quarian helps some, but still...it isn't Tali.

Anyone have some tips on getting through this difficult time???

I'll probably have to seethe then...just kidding.  I like the creative approach.  I might just try that. Thanks.

That would have made last night more bearable, as I wouldn't have to suffer the heat alone...

But anyways, I do have a rather interesting question now that I think about it:

Do you believe Tali might use something like body pillows or other bed materials to help keep her legs in a proper posture (besides Shepard, of course)?  I noticed that on her leg armor, they are designed specifically to house her legs in a certain position.  I tend to sometimes use a body pillow mostly to keep my legs in a good posture and to sometimes crack them, heh.  But it's kinda awkward, I think its wearing out or something.

Perhaps her suit can lock down into good posture positions when sleeping, or maybe bits of it can inflate into pillows. Lol.

Yeah I cannot imagine laying on your back with her chicken-legs is comfortable. Probably sleeps on her side, or as Fenrsfil said - her suit locks down.

Would be interesting to see what shape a Quarian bed is lol.

You'd be pretty horny too if you were 24? years old, a virgin, probably never touched another person's skin except your mother's nearly two decades ago, couldn't show your face, technological assistance giving you your only means of sexual release, and space jesus just returned your feelings of romantic love.

You'd be so damn horny. I don't blame tali for trying to get it on during snuggle time.
