It is posts like this why the majority of the people here from years past have left to private groups. The moderators should just disallow another public Tali thread as they did in the past and call it a day.

Seems like all the big players who used to be here are in the Tali Room or somewhere. (sigh) I miss them. We have gone through the big Tali topics. But Tali threads never die! the previous one went to 10,000 pages! We must stop pitying ourselves and enjoy what we can here. Where else will I receive feedback on my fanfic in the works in a public forum setting? we can make it! For Tali!
For a real pep talk, just go watch Miracle or something.

Shepard has his or her gun to this someones head and is about to pull the trigger. Would Tali try to stop Shepard from pulling the trigger or would she allow it?

Let me rephrase the first part of the question. Say that someone was the one who led the terrible thing like...what the rogue Cerberus faction did to Jack to get her biotic power. They didn't necessarily do it to her but say was the reason it was there to begin with.

In a general sense, I don't think of Tali as a vengeful person.

However if its cerberus, and a particularly cruel cerberus member... I think she would be fine with Shepard executing him. I don't think she would take any satisfaction from it though, like Garrus would.

Works best? Uh, don't think there really is a best. Mine was Spacer and Sole Survivor. Spacer, like you said, works with that common background thing, but I don't think it matters too much. *shrug*

Perhaps 'best' was the wrong word. What 'provides the most interesting dynamic' for a relationship between Tali and Shepard.

My thoughts were
Earthborn - Tough life that Tali brings some happiness to. Harshness of living on Earth has left little love for humanity.
Spacer - Similar background of living on ships and a military family. Might be too similar, although would be interesting to speculate what Shepards mother would think of Tali.
Colonist - Batarian raid might have made shepard a bit of a xenophobe. I roleplay my colonists as batarian haters until Arrival, where its too many to not warn the colony.


Sole Survivor - Talis compassion would go out to Shepard.
War Hero - Tali would have more reason to 'worship' shepard since he had done the seemingly impossible.
Ruthless - I think Tali would probably be nervous around this kind of Shepard.

I don't think too similar would be a detriment. That similarity could've helped forge a much earlier friendship than others, since Shepard would be able to relate to her more.

The Shepard from the Razor's Edge fanfic is a Spacer/Sole Survivor. The author makes that pairing work very well, though I think it could easily work just as well as an Earthborn/Colonist.

Sole Survivor seems like the best second choice though.

Would be nice if there was a little pretense to a possible relationship in ME1, but I guess I will just struggle through it for ME2.

Ya, the space origin would make sense, as that Shepard would have alot of common ground with Tali that would have helped begin their friendship (since Shep has some common ground with Quarians that few humans have)

She'd be weary of her sons choice until Tali returns her ships barriers back to full strength after weeks of malfunctions from an engagement that damaged the emitters.
