Hey guys!

So I have a few questions about Tali's dialogue, and I figured this is the best place to ask of course. I'm working on a fic where there's MShep/Tali, but I'm ashamed to say I don't have a MShep playthrough =X I'm trying to find a version of the Sanctuary mission with a romanced Tali to hear the dialogue, but I can't seem to find one on Youtube. Would any of you be able to help me out? =D Just a general description would be great, but a link to a video or the actual lines of dialogue would be fantastic!

Sanctuary, as in the mission on Horizon? I'm pretty sure that there's no "unique" dialogue for Tali on that mission. What she sais is the same regardless of whether she's romanced or not.

Unless the dialogue that i've heard IS unique. I wouldn't know, cause both my ME3 playthroughs had romanced Tali's. Heh.

In any case, I guess you'll just have to do your best to "wing" it in regards to writing down the romance dialogue for that mission, because i'm pretty sure there wasn't any

I know i have come late to the party about the whole Tali face issue. But i really don't like her face looking almost exactly human. Do i have a problem with her face having human like qualities? No, but her face was just to much human. Why couldn't bioware have made her face with the right amount of alien and human? Instead of mostly human, let it be a mix. I have seen plenty of fan art that has shown a great Tali face that although is alien....isn't to alien. I wish Bioware had done something like that.

Personally i wouldn't have mind a really alien face, even if the face wasn't good looking. After all, Tali is an alien, why does her face need to be attractive in our perspective? If aliens did exist im sure they would not be attractive to our eyes. If Bioware went this route, it would take guts, because it goes against the cliche scifi formula that when a human male has an female alien romance, the alien always has to look "hot" or at least not ugly.

But i know why Bioware didn't make her face non-attractive/really alien looking, because that would have turned off a lot of fans. That's why I would accept at least a face in the middle ground, a face that although is alien looking, is still a face that many tali fans wouldn't consider ugly. But no....Bioware pulls a Star Trek, even though they have the capability of making really interesting alien faces.

Add the whole extreme human looking face to the horrible photoshop job (her 3 fingers look like 3 human fingers, etc), it just makes the whole situation sad and pathetic.

I'm fine with her looking humanish. Call me shallow-minded if you want, but I certainly don't mind the concept Bioware chose for her face.

Don't get me wrong though, I'm all for having a slightly more "alien" Tali. However, some of the fan-arts of her face that have been floating around are simply repulsive. That purple-starfish one, for example. I understand that s lot of people like it, but I just find it...hideous.

It would be a stupid retcon for quarians not to look similar to how they do.
A stupid, unnecessary retcon from their original ME1 design concepts. (You know, before the whole romance deal?) The quarian people weren't designed in any way to be attractive in a conventional manner. The asari were (justified by being a reference to green-skinned space babes of old space operas) and so were the drell (not justified in any way whatsoever, just fangirl pandering - although they did justify Thane running around with half his chest exposed... after the fact.) They were just designed to stand out. That's why the legs and feet are so strange, not so many ways to stand out in a suit and still be combat-capable in the game's engine.

Wouldn't give a crap if there was no established canon, but there is. And changing it would be blatant pandering to the xenophiles.

I don't remember any special dialog on Sanctuary. I know there is romance dialog In the Cerberus station.

Of course she would be hideous if she had a really alien face.  But what is wrong with that?  As i said earlier, why does Tali have to look attractive?  Wouldn't it be more original for Bioware to have made her not that attractive?  I can't really think of any scifi franchise in which the man has had a relationship with a female alien that sure isn't attractive.  Therefore if bioware did something like that, it would be unique.

Man, sometime i wish Mankind would encounter real life aliens (if they existed).  Because it would be highly unliley that they would be rubber forhead aliens/really human like aliens shown in fiction.  And all the fanboys who have a thing for the typical hot female alien created by scifi would cry out in in agnoy after seeing their first real life female alien.

Quarians been most human since 2008 (novel) if i rememb right, so its nothing new that they got suddenly idea. Hey lets make her look like a human, im pretty sure they knew quarians look like human and just tried to find face to fit her most

The original concept art and face-behind-the-helmet look this way, too.
Not to mention, you'd be stretching disbelief of Tali's attraction. Two way streets and all that.

I prefer MShep/Tali vastly over FShep/Tali myself as well. Though I will say that is purely because of bias and how it is in game.

...no. She wanted to link suits (well, if femshep were a quarian), and then backstepped hard when she thought that femshep might interpret that as hitting on her.

Wouldn't know since I never played as FShep. But if people want to make art or whatever, they can go for it, I'm not going to burst thier bubble, just don't burst mine. *shrug*
