Don't get me wrong though, I'm all for having a slightly more "alien" Tali. However, some of the fan-arts of her face that have been floating around are simply repulsive. That purple-starfish one, for example. I understand that s lot of people like it, but I just find it...hideous.

Yeah I agree. I mean I would still love her personality, but being able to love the way she looks is always a plus - and its hard to fall in love with something truely alien.

Pretty much. As I said, if she was slightly alien I wouldn't mind but...if they went over the top with it...be honest, would you still want to romance Tali if she looked like a Vorcha?

On a sidenote, I always liked the way the author of Razor's Edge portrayed Tali. In fact, it was my headcanon for her face before ME3. I always found it strange how just a few simple words stuck with me more then several of the more popular fan-arts did. Just thought i'd throw that out there.

That guy writes one mean FF. I love it.
A good portraly of Shep/Tali and I really want to see how he deals with the seperation that occured inbetween ME2 and ME3.

I love his fanfics, I honestly wish he could write faster haha. I find myself checking his page everyday to see if he's updated or not.

I'll have to read it after I finish reading all the chapters of Adamo. Its very long, but oh so good.


Its got me thinking. Alot of us play Bioware games for the characters and romances. Do you think it would be possible for them to place even less emphasis on combat and story, and stronger focus on the romance during the narrative?

I just read a chapter of FF, which has the collector base being destroyed, and the huge emotional swings of saving Tali (LI) from falling, then Zaeed sacrificing himself to let Shepard survive to be with Tali. This kind of manipulation of the story, to focus it around the romance, seems extremely powerful.

If you wanted to be accurate the point of a forum is for people to disagree with eachother. Honestly, there wouldn't be much point to discussing something if we all agreed 100% about it. We'd all just nod at eachother, say "Tali is awesome", and these threads wouldn't get past 10 pages.

My it has been a long time since I was on the ME forums. I finally finished my Tali romance run through with perfection and felt it was time to see what everyone was up to here. Its good to see that the love is still strong for the best LI in Mass Effect. If only we both got more time in the end. What are the hopes that we will see Tali and Shep together in the new DLC thats coming out. A lot of voice actors have been confirmed but I didnt hear anything about Ash Sroka. The ending just left a very bad taste in my mouth and I really hope they understand just how slited we feel as fans for having all the stuff that made this adventure what it was ignored. I want to make Tali a home. Even if that home ended up being Earth. She is supposed to be where I am.

Razor's Edge

Razor's Edge: Dark Witness

Razor's Edge: Requiem

The author just put up Chapter 9 a few days ago for Requiem, and generally puts out a new chapter every week or so.  Definately one of the best retellings of ME 2 and 3 out there, although it can get pretty heavy at times.  Truly an inspiring Tali/Shepard piece.

Also enjoyed this author's works as well; chronologically, The Darkest Night, For We Are Many:

The Darkest Night

Describes the events that happened between ME 1 and 2, focusing on the crew of the Normandy as Shepard is rebuilt by Cerberus.

For We Are Many

Begins at the start of ME 2; proceeds similar to the game, but begins to deviate in later chapters.

Most recently, Chapter 23 is up, although the author may take between one and two weeks for new chapters.

Both series are incredibly well detailed, and show no signs of slowing down.  Also, be sure to read up on Ryugi's, Terror's, and Calinstel's pieces as well: lot's of reading and inspiration for writing to be had.  Enjoy!
