I can see them needing the visor to protect from UV light and for privacy. The suite acts like a portable home for them and they are always on the go in space. Traveling on different world and around many different suns. I think they might also have a HUD that's a one way view since she can down load things directly into the suite.

This fanfic had me laughing so hard my sides began to hurt. I don't know how many of you have read it, but if you haven't I really do recommend it. It's hilarious.
