The author just put up Chapter 9 a few days ago for Requiem, and generally puts out a new chapter every week or so.  Definately one of the best retellings of ME 2 and 3 out there, although it can get pretty heavy at times.  Truly an inspiring Tali/Shepard piece.

Also enjoyed this author's works as well; chronologically, The Darkest Night, For We Are Many:

The Darkest Night

Describes the events that happened between ME 1 and 2, focusing on the crew of the Normandy as Shepard is rebuilt by Cerberus.

For We Are Many

Begins at the start of ME 2; proceeds similar to the game, but begins to deviate in later chapters.

Most recently, Chapter 23 is up, although the author may take between one and two weeks for new chapters.

Both series are incredibly well detailed, and show no signs of slowing down.  Also, be sure to read up on Ryugi's, Terror's, and Calinstel's pieces as well: lot's of reading and inspiration for writing to be had.  Enjoy!

Here is another fanfic that is good (imo) and does have a Tali and Shepard romance in it.

It is set in the ME1 time period, and it has 2 sequels (Spirit of heroism, Death of heroism), the lastest one still in progress and set during ME3.

Just for warning, this fic is kinda dark and has some violent scenes.  This shepard isn't your typical paragon shepard, but is a man who starts out as a cold machine (with a dark past) who seems to have not much humanity.....but he eventually changes.  In other words, this man is very flawed.

The Tali and Shepard romance takes a long time, its not going to be in the first few chapters in which both declare their love for each other.

By the way, the tali and shepard romance is not the main part of the story (doesn't mean its not imporant).

Also in the 1st story, the author decided to reveal Tali's face, and since it was made before ME3, her face is not the canon one.  Though his vision sure is more unique and more alien then the one shown in ME3, and to me, has a more realistic feel to it.  I think its sad in when i prefer fan versions of her face over the actuall offical one.  It SHOULD be the other way around.

This fic is also long, so be prepared.

After watching that, i reinstalled ME and ME2 and proceed to play romance Liara LOL... I dunno, but after watching that video, Liara seems like the loyal unrequited love syndrome LI, who is fine watching Shepard with another woman, married and stuff, while she is content with just staying by his side forever as a friend thinking "As long as hes happy, im happy too". I feel pressured to go for her after that ROFL...

^ Uhm... hell no. Tali is my main Shep's LI. I had another playthrough in ME2 with Miranda being the LI, but it didn't get far.

Read the second a few days ago, and yes, it IS dark.  Some of the violence almost came out of nowhere, sometimes being handled poorly (especially in the Collector base, in my opinion).  The story was solid, but I'm unsure if I'll read the next or previous stories.  I'll give it some time.

Personally I enjoyed the face that Bioware gave Tali, but didn't like the laziness in which it was presented.  Fan renditions, however, are (almost) always welcome, and I liked the author's rendition.  Still, to each their own.

No. The second I saw Tali, I was immediately interested.

Liara came across as a forced sense of interest to me. I didn't mind her as a person but she kind of just forced herself onto you. In ME2 she became distant and constantly questioned the relationship between her and Shep(if you romanced her).

In ME3, if you're in a relationship with her, she constantly seeks reassurance until you finally send her the message that you want to be with her(the conversation near the shops on the Citadel a bit later into the game, around Rannoch I believe).

I'm not bashing Liara. I'm merely stating how she came across to me in the series. I don't hate her. In fact, Liara is quite nice as a person. However, I was never interested in her like I was(and am) with Tali.

... Also, asari as a race kind of freak me out a little.

Hey, at least some of you guys are back. Haven't posted in the Tali room in a while myself. Good to see you here again, Ryuji!

Still working on my project; funny that I have the epilogue written before the first chapter. As it's set in ME 1, I'm trying to be original while mostly sticking to the canon (although having read a lot of renditions on FanFiction.net, I had to re-check my outline more than once for similarities that might seem like plagiarism). Starting to take shape, though!

The next one is an expansion of the romance scene in ME2. Canon Tali is used in it(as in, I describe stuff like her long hair, markings, etc.).

I daresay it's romantic in a classy and tasteful way. Currently I'm waiting on Revan to edit the latest draft so I can post it after some tweaks. Expect it within the next few days.

I'll also be uploading all of it to FF.net...eventually. The dang site won't let me log in.  :|

Aside from not being able to log in, sounds great!  I've been trying to keep writing, but it's 3:12 a.m. now here in Ohio, and it's taking its toll.

I admit I felt guilty for ditching Liara in ME2, since she was being so cool about it. However I could never leave Tali.

However since then I've steadily become sick of Liara. I made a Liara loyal playthrough, and her personality shifts bug me too much - as does some elements of her personality. Nope, Tali is the girl for me.

Enabling you to have a first-game romance for the achievement, then say "Nope, never happened!"

And also allows you to make up for falling for Starchild's Renegade lies. (Think the lies Shepard can tell a betrayed Wrex, except sometimes more effective)

gaaaahhh, to know that the NG+ was the only thing that saved Tali from this...



Such an empty victory.

But then one Extended Cut and untold numbers of dead Reapers later...



Finally, the cycle is truly shattered.
