I'm Talimancer from ME2...mostly because as a PS3 player, I can't play ME1 :(

Sigh...what i'd give to be able to play ME1 on the PS3...

*Ahem* Get a PC. Or an Xbox. Its worth the price. For PC even more, there you can use High Res mods.

Anyway, Talimancer from the Beginning! (But upset about not able to romance her in ME1, so I accepted Liara to come to the captains quarters in ME1. I still feel guilty about that).

Another stupid argument about looks.

No Talimancer here likes Tali based on her looks, her "looks" that we see, is a reward for 2 games worth of romance that we get near the end of her romance.

So any points being made about, "Oh half the people wouldn't of mance'd her is she looked like a squid", or "Only romanced her cause she looked like a hot young blonde." Are completely pointless.

Without recapping everything from yesterday. (People can go back and read the last 5pages if their interested)

Quarian's "looks" etc were covered in "Mass Effect: Ascension" 18months before Tali would become a LI option. The writers decided what they'd look like, not Talimancers. (Largely being that Taimancer didn't exist then)

So her looks have nothing to do with pleasing a fanbase etc. If you want an example of looks pleasing a fanbase, then look at Ash in ME3.

Sure some of us like the canon pic (minus the laziness), some would of liked a more alien version even although the information was there for them to of been aware that it wouldn't be the case.

Bottom line is, we all love Tali based on her personality, not her looks.

So has anyone seen, or found out, what happens if you romance Tali in ME2, then dump her in ME3 for Kaidan?

When I was making one of my videos and testing to see the outcome all I got was that typical "oh now you have Kaidan, I regret nothing...Friends?" convo. Doesn't seem to be any jealousy chatter during the geth dreadnought scene either like with Liara and Ash. One convo during the actual mission might be different.  But dunno what happens after that since I stopped at that point. Doubt anything honestly.

Ah ok, that's a shame lol. Would of expected a more... frantic outburst lol you know, losing ya virginity to someone then that someone turns gay... lol

And heres a fun fact.

In ME2, Tali uses the same opening romance lines on Femshep as she does on Maleshep. It's Femshep that says "no" and rejects here, then she gets the same "Oh I didn't mean it like that" lines as maleshep if he turns her down.

So I guess that makes Femshep the straight one.. *cough, looks at all Fems s/s options* lol.

I really didn't like Tali so much in ME1, but she grew on me and she was the one I romanced in my first play through of ME2. I liked the continuation into ME3. I think I would have been disappointed had I romanced anyone else in ME2 (as MaleShep) since Miranda and Jack get relegated to non-crew roles and you only see them a handful of times.

I did not like the conclusion of the romance though, and I think if they were going to show Tali's face, that the last conversation that she has with Shepard would have worked better IMO. She seems pretty confident that they're not going to come back from things alive ("I want more time"). So she could have removed her helmet and shared a kiss with Shepard and shown her face in that final moment.

Though I've youtube'd the MaleShep romances and I think all those final moments, especially for Tali, Miranda and Jack were awkward.

Though on my first playthrough I also didn't know anything about Galactic Readiness so I didn't play multiplayer and got the worst ending and found Tali on the ground dead when running toward the conduit. At the time I was unaware that things could turn out differently, but I was still disappointed that Shepard's LI is laying there dead and doesn't get acknowledged.

I mean if Kai Leng kills Thane and/or Miranda, Shepard can acknowledge it when you kill Kai Leng. You turn around and stab Kai Leng and say "that's for Thane and Miranda you SOB" or something like that. But Tali died and got nothing. And I'd imagine it would be the same for Kaidan, Ashley, Garrus, or Liara as well.

I agree, Tali's romance arc wasn't perfect (none of the romances are, tbh) and it could definatly have used some more polish. However, compared to what some of the other romances got we should consider ourselves lucky.

He says that regardless if they were romanced or not, says it because Kai killed his friends, not because they were his lovers.

I mean my Talimancer said "That was for Thane you son of a ****", And I'm sure my Maleshep didn't mance him ;P

Yep.  The determinant for who Shep says he/she is avenging is whoever Kai Lame had killed.

Also... that scene should never have happened in the first place.  if Shep really was a spec-ops, he/she would have double-tapped Lame while he was on the ground.  Or single-tapped.

Of course, it should have never come to that in the first place, as Thane could have shot Kai Lame after he knocked him to the ground back on the Citadel.

Still a little disappointed that Tali doesn't have a "date" on the Citadel.  Sure, you have a conversation with her after talking to a turian, but otherwise there's no intimate moments like those that you can have with the rest of the crew.

Getting her homeworld back was obviously a big moment, but even that could use some work on the romance end (and a little more than a picture).  I'm just annoyed at the fact that (aside from headcanon) Shepard and Tali never even had a proper date.

How can I play MP with the male Quarian Infiltrator? I unlocked it, but there is still only the female Infiltrator.

Exelsis, if Tali was a vampire, wouldn't she drink blood through an Emergency Induction Port?

Nuh-ay. Listen to Edolix, (s)he speaks wise words.
If the worst came to the worst, I'd make a MP character called Buffy and promote her. No more vampires.

Well the relationship was always more commital than others. Garrus was sort of a 'just-for-fun' thing, so needed a date to solidify the relationship. With Tali it seems we just picked up where we left off, although I agree I wish there was more conversations with her.

As I've said many times too, I wish Admiral Raan had some conversation with you if you were in a relationship with Tali. Can't think of a suitable moment in the current game though.

Agreed (with both).  Causing some angst among the Admirals would have been a sight to see.  While Raan probably would have approved, Han'Gerrel's reaction would have been priceless (and would've probably warranted a second punch to the stomach).Posted Image

For Raan, a suitable moment would have been after a face reveal and kiss with Tali on Rannoch (with the Geth destroyed or Peace), where any number of conversations could have sprung up.
