There's also the Turians, with "Spirits! :O" which indicates they must have some sort of religion as well.

However, I understand very little about Quarian ancestor worship. Is it a subject that Tali goes indepth into in ME1? If so, that's probably the reason why I missed it...being a PS3 user and all.

There is almost no information in-game about quarian ancestor worship. The vast majority of what we know is from tali's loyalty mission. But it indicates that they don't literally worship their ancestors, like romans diefied their heroes, but simply respected them and hold their elders and ancestors in far more esteem than in human cultures. Because dead ancestors = no decendants.

And I feel that when turians say "spirits!" they mean spirits as in alcoholic beverages. All 4? times that it is said in the games.

I really didn't like Tali so much in ME1, but she grew on me and she was the one I romanced in my first play through of ME2. I liked the continuation into ME3. I think I would have been disappointed had I romanced anyone else in ME2 (as MaleShep) since Miranda and Jack get relegated to non-crew roles and you only see them a handful of times.

I did not like the conclusion of the romance though, and I think if they were going to show Tali's face, that the last conversation that she has with Shepard would have worked better IMO. She seems pretty confident that they're not going to come back from things alive ("I want more time"). So she could have removed her helmet and shared a kiss with Shepard and shown her face in that final moment.

Though I've youtube'd the MaleShep romances and I think all those final moments, especially for Tali, Miranda and Jack were awkward.

Though on my first playthrough I also didn't know anything about Galactic Readiness so I didn't play multiplayer and got the worst ending and found Tali on the ground dead when running toward the conduit. At the time I was unaware that things could turn out differently, but I was still disappointed that Shepard's LI is laying there dead and doesn't get acknowledged.

I mean if Kai Leng kills Thane and/or Miranda, Shepard can acknowledge it when you kill Kai Leng. You turn around and stab Kai Leng and say "that's for Thane and Miranda you SOB" or something like that. But Tali died and got nothing. And I'd imagine it would be the same for Kaidan, Ashley, Garrus, or Liara as well.

I have to agree with you on how they could have done the final words section of Tali's romance.  It would have been much better that way even though I think her words were spot on.  They made me tear up because everything felt so final in that moment.  If that was her thought process then she should have given him a full on kiss that we as the player got to see.  I still want the picture though.  I would also have liked for them to allow you to call her up after the act just like in ME2.

I didnt have anyone I knew dead on the ground on my first play through of ME3 since my rating was almost 6000.  Having the app on my phone allowed me to keep my GRR at 100% all the time.  I never played the multiplayer once.  Maybe on my 3rd playthrough I will jump to the end without doing a lot of stuff to see how bad things can really get.

This unit would perhaps like to suggest something along the "Halo: Legends" criteria.  We found that very pleasing, not to mention the span of videos kept us entertained.

Please, please, please, oh God please, do not let the Dragon Ball Z guys be involved in anything like this for Mass Effect. I refuse to watch that one segment in Legends because of that.

However, perhaps we would actually get a decent interpretation of Tali through this, so I'm game.

Even worse possibility...Uwe Boll!!!

or Paul Anderson

Oh dear vectron. SHEPARD IS A SMOKER? I'm now switching sides. I'm in the straight tali only camp.

Tobacco would wreak havok on a quarian's lungs. Tali should 'mance garrus.

With a voice like that, Garrus must surely smoke.

I just read some fanfic that had a smoking shepard romancing tali, male this time. Seemed odd.

I hope that in a century, the general population has become educated enough that drug use essentially ceases. Kind of like star trek. Seems like the ME universe already has humans dropping religion, which would be even better.

You need to pay better attention to the small talk in ME2-3 lol, drugs are fully legal on most in not all words, no longer a banned sustance.

I remember red sand in the terminus systems being legal, but then everything is. What is legal in citadel space?

If I remember right, Illium is counted as being in citadel space, and has this in the codex. Either one lol, "As such, drugs are legal as long as they are labeled properly,"[/b]

Given you clearly see Shepard getting messed up on alcohol, drugs are obviously still used for recreation. You'd think something like smoking is probably less dangerous, likely due to being able to repair the genetic damage caused and avoid cancer. Either that or cigarettes turn out to be Reaper technology and that's how TiM got indoctrinated. Lol.

I think Cigarettes are glued to his hand lol. And yeah with medical advances etc I think the use of drugs etc would of become more safe, except Red Sand. Cancer still exists it seems although, Joker mentions EDI being like space Cancer lol.

Cancer still exists, but is aparently cureable in the ME universe.

Poverty still runs wild in ME and with that comes drugs and prostitution. Just from the clubs alone you see that we haven't advanced past carnal pleasures. Humans there are just us right now with space travel.

One thing just occured to me about quarian immune systems.

I understand the need for a mask, and an enviro-suit to seal off any open wounds quickly. But surely a quarian wouldn't just drop dead (or even get sick, for that matter) just for exposing some skin to the open air? Say, if Tali removed one of her gloves...I don't understand how that would make her sick. Thoughts?

EDIT: TOTP

The problem is that quarians have non-standard immune systems, not that theirs are weak. Quarian immune systems do not fight and obliterate all foregin bodies, but adapt to them after a period of time. Tali does not get sick from contact with shepard due to bacteria on his body causing illness, but from her immune system responding to foreign matter, like the human allergic response. Think of it like quarians being allergic to literally everything, but instead of becoming more reactive with subsequent exposures, they become less reactive.

Here's hoping Tali will be a full fledged member of the squad for ME3 and not some temporary one-quest-wonder! She still in in my opinion the most important squadmate in the ME games even if you don't romance her. Can't wait to see where her story goes.

How is gods name is she the most important when she is recruited on your squad near the end of ME2 and ME3

New chapter's up.

http://social.biowar...05/blog/213740/

Think of it as a heavily extended romance scene of ME2, following the canon look for Tali that BioWare chose.

Well I finally had a non messed up demented dream with Tali. My other ones consisted of weird changing demented worlds and people. Finally one normal one... And she got shot and killed in space.
...
Meanwhile I'm on vacation and I'm still sad about how slow this thread is going.
