If there were 'consequences' for having romance night with Tali that would catch up to you in Mass Effect 3, would you not have romance night with her in 2 and hold off until ME3 if:
- She would die in 3 due to a fatal long-term illness she gets from Shepard
- She has fears and doubts after that night which haunt her and make her want to call off the relationship
- She suffers some form of permanent injury from an illness that cripples her physical ability to perform tasks. This would, in turn, prevent her from being a squadmate, limit her appearances to key moments in the plot, stay behind on Rannoch and prevent romance night in 3
- You would get a far more detailed and better romance scene in 3, or some form of better 'reward' for waiting
- Tali would get exiled if you proved her innocence in 2 because the admiralty board found out about their relationship after investigating her mysterious 'cold', which would prevent her from returning to Rannoch when the war is over and building a house there
- It would become harder to protect Tali's life if such a danger to her was present in 3, as the Illusive Man would know who Shepard cherishes the most thanks to EDI's monitoring devices onboard his cabin.

- Yes. I love Tali, and while I would certainly be interested in making physical love, I wouldn't want to kill her in the process, even if we're going on a so-called 'suicide mission'.
- Yes. I don't want her to regret 'going too fast' in the relationship and making her feel bad about it in some way. This assumes, of course, that there's no dialog or reputation check involved that could fix it. If there was, well...id still go on ahead with romance night.
- I'm not 100% certain on this one, but I say yes. I love Tali, but I wouldn't want to leave her a cripple for the rest of her life. There are times when it's worth taking a risk and times when it's not. When the risk involves a good chance that Tali will be crippled, or worse, dead, it's not worth the odds.
- Yes. It's worth waiting for.
- Hmm, im divided on this one. On one hand, I WANT to live with Tali on her homeworld in her own house. But on the other hand, I will go whereever she wants to go.
- No. It might be harder, but not impossible. Damn the Illusive man and the stuff he does to us! We shall fight back and stand strong!

Interesting Tali comic being made here!
Read what's been done and I have to say I enjoy it. Give it a read.
/sign. That is true. Homeworlds #2 was crap.

Seriously? Who would want to make out just to be killed/paralyzed? Basically you are saying that it's okay to kill Tali off-screen.
You monster!
Pretty much. Don't see the point of those weird questions.

It is an attempt to assess how important the physical aspect of the talimance is, relative to other people. The idea isn't wierd, but some of the questions are. With dat pounce, how could she possibly regret what she is doing? The idea that there could be physical 'incompatabilities' is silly, tali did her research, dammit. And a good paragon shep would too. The extranet: good for research. And with shep's non-rape smile when she takes her mask off, why would she have fears and doubts? Again, dat pounce. She doesn't seem to have any doubts right there.Apathy1989 wrote...

And how could she have a 6 month illness that nobody in ME2 or pre-ME3 notices? Doctors know their stuff.

Though I absolutely hate to admit it, your probably right. I was thinking more of a situation where someone says, "Oh that's great, let's make out!" but then after going through it, they think about it and realize it was a bad idea for them, even though good intent was involved. Tali probably wouldn't go through that process of thinking with her quarian mind, so maybe that would not apply.
Her illness could also be terminal, similar to Thane. That's probably what I was thinking of at the time. Even in ME2, I suppose there was a lot of missing information that really impacted how I thought of Tali. I was worried about her health quite a bit, which ended up doing nothing but stress myself out. Fortunately, there really are no consequences in ME3 if you romance her the night before the collector base, the game acts as if you did regardless of your choice. But, even if there were consequences for removing her suit, I would still love it if she just slept with me that night. Still would provide a huge morale boost. There's still plenty of things one can do without having to disassemble Tali's suit...

I admit it does seem ill advised to get intimate just before a mission with tali. A fever and headache is not something that helps doing technical tasks.
Tali doesn't really have illnesses though, she has allergic reactions to Shepard. Perhaps it takes a while to kick in, so wasn't a factor in the suicide mission?

Tali and Shepard thought that they might die on the next mission, and wanted to express their phisical feelings before time ran out...
