Saw a supposed sale on Origin a few weeks ago were it was buy ME1 get ME2 for free. Price 38.99 Was like hmm went and looked at the indvidual prices and both were 19.99 was like lol gtfo EA.

The steam summer sale (two week long sale Steam has every summer with dozens and dozens of games up for rediculously cheep) should be starting in about 2-3 weeks. Last year's summer sale and in the winter sale ME1 and ME2 went up for $10, then dropped even lower to $5 during one of the daily deals during the sale. As such I would recoment keeping a eye out for that, either buying it during one of the daily deals within the summer sale, or on the last day of the sale. Thats how I finaly ended up buying ME1, then later gifted ME1 and ME2 to two of my friends during the winter sale.

EA has stated they will never do sales on Origin like how Steam does it because "it cheapens the IP" if they do it.
Thank god they don't have control over the franchise with our beloved Tali in it..... oh wait...

Same. Origin is only on my PC because I like playing Battlefield 3.

Steam is very user friendly with their set-up. They reward people with little spending money and a lot of patience. I've gotten several games from them I would have NEVER have gotten at the prices listed. Suddenly I'm staring at it for 75% off and like...well hell, if I want to try it, might as well try it now.

It's what the used game market should have been.

Not even I, one of the most strident voices for a more alien tali, hate human tali designs. While I would have loved to see something more alien in the reveal (read: not long hair), I would rather that the current design NOT be scrapped, even over designs that would much more suit my personal preference. However, the current reveal in its entirety DOES need to be scrapped, especially the photoshop. The woman from the original is attractive and all, but that doesn't matter. Doing things right matters, and they made almost every mistake that could have been made.

But I'm sticking to my clawed, fanged, tendriled?, mildly corrosive saliva excreting, blue sclera and secondary eyelidded?, retinal reflecting, silver eyed quarian hottie. And we're going to snuggle. In her hammock. That's not a euphamism.

Seems to be common headcanon that quarians have enlongated incisors. Nice.

The used game market is another thing publishers like EA hates. Console games get bought once, then the stores make buckets more money off resale after it gets returned.

I hate the used game market too. Of course, that doesn't stop me from using it when I don't believe the game in question deserves the price tag the new game has.

The thing is companies that sell used games should pay at least a small portion of their profits on each used game back to the developers. They should do that willingly without this huge tooth and nail fight over it. They won't do that, of course, but it would be a huge PR boon for them. Not only would they make it more difficult for companies to try to shut down the used game market but also continue to provide a valuable service to gamers. And of course make money, just a little less of it.

The problem with that is the fact that america, and therefore most worldwide media developers, especially for video games, are in a corporatist stage, where they make video games to make money. It should be the other way around. True service to customers is staggeringly low right now. It also doesn't help that the industry has become heavily conglomerated, either.

Used games are bad for the consumer anyway. I gave in my old copy of condemned: Criminal Origins, they offered me five dollars, being in a hurry and just wanting the game off my hands, I accepted. Bear in mind that I take great care of my discs, no scratches, keeping them in the case, not leaving them in the console etc. The very next day I walk in and see the exact same game I turned in ( I recognized it by a slight black sharpie mark under the outside covering that my sister put there to mess with me) selling for $45. that is a 9 times profit, with none of the money going to the Devs. Simple price gouging.

I was like you, once. Blissfully ignorant and unaware. Then I found out, and now I wander the wastes sharing the knowledge so that all may know. Some day, you will enlighten another with this information. This cycle has repeated itself more times than you can fathom.
