Tali'Zorah ME3 Thread *MAJOR SPOILER WARNING!*

Any news on when the EC is coming out? I'm all for the team taking as long as they can to work on their "clarification," but a set date would be nice to look forward to. Lots of hopes and prayers riding on it, and hopefully it involves a certain house on the homeworld of a particular quarian we all know and love.

@ralix157 I did the one night stand thing with jack on my first playthrough and other than getting no other dialogue with Jack, there weren't any other consequences. I was still able to romance Tali.
You did?

Guys. This is the Tali thread. Not the "Geth/Quarian culpability" thread. Can we not argue about that here?
So, questions for those with more experience than myself! Finally started my 2nd Shepard - an Earthborn Sole Survivor Renegon. I don't quite know who he's going to romance yet........ but lets be honest, it will probably be Tali. XD
My question, though, is whether pre-existing relationships prevent her from being a romance option. I picked Ash as my romance in ME1 (PS3 player, used interactive comic), but my Shep is gonna kick her to the curb when she bails on him on Horizon. He'll probably also one-night-stand Jack. But will those actions prevent him from wooing Tali? Or will she still be a viable romance option despite those previous trysts?
You are a terrible man-sl*t. (edit: why does bioware censor that?)
Although I admit its quite hard to not romance anyone in ME1. At the moment I am trying to avoid romance, but there doesn't seem any dialogue to just say 'not interested', only to completely fall out with them in a big fight. So looks like the plan is to tell Liara I am interested in Ash, then get Ash killed on virmire.
My main playthrough was a Liara then Tali romance, so Talis romance doesn't lock off based on someone else. I am curious though if she has more/different dialogue if you never romanced anyone, making it sound more like Shepard was always interested in her?
Couple ways to go about ME1 with no romance if that is your intent:
1. Do not talk to Ashley or Liara at all inbetween missions
2. First convo with Ashley choose the renegade "you're out of line" when she talks about the aliens on the ship (or kill her on Virmire) and for Liara, you have the option to just flat out say not interested when she brings it up and she will drop it from that point on.

Jack scares the hell out of me. Who’s idea was it to bring aboard a Cerberus hating sociopathic super biotic?
Back to Tali, not sure if anyones posted this before:

What irks me more than the bias towards the geth is the fact that Tali isn't in the game until those missions, and you have to pace yourself throughout the game "saving up" missions for you to play with Tali on your squad. Tali and the VS are the only characters to have that problem, and between Ash/Kaidan and Tali, I'd pick Tali any day. If you had more choice in the matter for which missions you could do first (or which missions had a time limit), then I would be okay with how the game's pace goes.

This is why I use the Gibbed save Editor to add Tali to my team right after Menae, then headcanon my way around it.

Well I've had Ash and Kaiden in ME3, and Ash is by far more annoying - so Ash is going to die (edit: And Kaiden actually seems to do something with his life after ME1, Ash doesn't). At least I don't have to pretend to like her though to Liara just to get her to go away.

heh I always wanted to get around to romancing Jack, but cannot avoid romancing Tali
I mean sure Jack scares me, but after Pragia I always felt sorry for her. Kind of wish I could have pushed Miranda out the airlock after their fight though.

Airlock is always the answer. Cerberus blackmails you into helping them? Airlock all Cerberus personel. Jacob and the engineering team weren't exactly loyal to Cerberus in the first place anyway.

I understand that completely. I have one play through were I didn’t romance Tali and I had to avoid her when her romance dialog became available because I knew I wouldn’t be able to say no.Apathy1989 wrote...

I kind of agree about Miranda. Her development felt like it took a step backwards with that encounter, she wouldn’t talk to me after and I could never get the points to tell her what a **** she was being.

What annoys me is you cannot convince her that cerberus is wrong. Paragon option is to tell her that you didn't want to upset Jack. I cannot remember renegade, but I don't think its that either. In reality I thought Jack was right, Miranda was a **** and should back down.

Exactly its hard to defend a biotic death camp for kids and then expect people to sympathise with you. It undermined Miranda’s progress sending her back to the callous Cerberus operative from the beginning of the game.

Okay, I just googled "Tali punching Miranda" and nothing appeared other than some real WTF material and some captioned Joker image macros. One of you arty guys get on it so I can have my emphasis.

If it werent for me having to be diplomatic, I'd side with Jack, at the time, Miranda was loyal to the Illusive Man, and would most likely double cross you if you went against cerberus. Jack on the other hand, would fine tune Tali's grenade to be absolutely sure it took out cerberus.

Do I need Facebook for everything?! Facebook to view Tali plushi. Facebook to comment on ifunny. Facebook to comment on Garry's mod files. Facebook to do this. Facebook to do that. I don't want a damn Facebook FUUUU. I also see the thread is still moving super slow. I miss how the thread used to be.
Really? I can see it just fine by clicking the link, no facebook required. You must be doing it wrong.
On a more Tali related note, I find that the writers did a real good job of having Tali adapt to being around the geth if you make peace with them in 3. The things she says, the comments she makes, it's all very good. Bless Ash Sroka for how well she made that character. I will miss Tali SOOOO much when the EC is shown. It seems like just when things were getting good, now all of a sudden it's over. But...maybe if they came out with a ME3 level editor and such, Tali can get all the time she deserves. I would be glad to learn and figure it out. Maybe even help in a few projects with the Talimancers.
I might just keep a close eye on what Ash Sroka does after Mass Effect. I'd love to see her other works.
