Im a little upset that we had to sacrifice the Geth and that they fixed the EDI lives bug. And that this obviously means Quarians MUST go on living with their masks on. To choose between living and a better Quarian future -
Because you only see them with masks off in synthesis ending diashow. Destroy diashow shows them with masks on a dark city world.

It will take time, but the quarians will live without their mask in the next decade and not centuries. Remember how fast Tali get used to Shepard, furthermore it's their home planet and as we saw in the Rannoch missions the planet isn't wasteland.

Agreed, Tali even mentioned that Quarians would adapt back to their homeplanet in a relative short time. With the Geth aid it would take maybe a few weeks instead of months or years, but quarians would live without envirosuits in their current generation already. Tali takes her mask off in Rannoch and she doesn't even get sick because of it, while doing that in any other planet would be quite hazardous to her.

Hey all. So yeah, EC was an improvement but the whole starkid "yo dawg" premise still makes no sense and still no Tali reunion. I'd like to add though, why does Tali still have her mask on in the synthesis ending?

Anyway, destroy is still my ending. Synthesis still makes no sense, control still doesn't feel like a win and rejection was nice to do once but really has no advantages over destroy other than being able to say FU to starkid. It's sad about EDI and the Geth but we can rebuild them. Besides that part still makes no sense the way it was explained (they could have fixed it easily just by saying it only targets Reaper tech, but they didn't), Geth are software so their platforms are no different then a non-sentient robot like a Loki droid. Are Loki's being wiped out too? If so does that mean anything with a computer in gets blown up? Because in the future everything will have a computer in. Meanwhile EDI's physical hardware is within the Normady and that can still fly. So IMHO it can all be fixed no problem.

I did like the extra bits we did get with Tali in. Especially the little scene on the hill run. But we're left to headcanon the reunion again. I don't like it but I can just about let BW off that one because of the Xbox download limit (you suck Xbox). I can't however let them off the fact that starkid and everything that relates to him makes no sense and doesn't fit with the rest of the Mass Effect universe. I didn't expect that to be fixed though and at least Shepard can ask questions now (even if the answers are rubbish), so I guess I see the DLC as positive overall.

Actually Dont know why Im posting this. But its just a fantastic track. Just imagine a wondeful Epilouge on Rannoch with Tali to THIS track. Blows my mind and fantasy right now.
Walking with her through the high desert grass and crops. A skyscraper city at the horizon. Well, its just awsome. Thats what the game actually needed in an Extended cut. An Epilouge with your LI. Can't say it often enough.

And thanks for pointing out to the fact that Quarians can live outside their suits likely within the current generation. And I bet Tali would be one of the first ^^

Well, some people didn't want a pre-determined epilogue. That's why they didn't include one. Plus, the fact that people only just getting to the third game and not spoiling themselves who happen to choose to Destroy the Reapers would be surprised enough that ol' Shep didn't bite it after all.

AKA: There's no House on Rannoch epilogue because some players might prefer the idea of the adventure continuing, and Shepard righting more wrongs in the galaxy.

Yeah I know why they said they didn't add an epilouge. But for me it sounds more like an excuse. I guess such an epilouge would be appreciated by at least most of the Talimancers.

And what is so bad about a house on Rannoch etc? I mean Shepard earned that peace I'd say. It would provide a good closure. A wonderful ending. And still it wouldn't mean Shepard will never again swing a gun or never again gets drawn into a new adventure. But it would leave me with satisfaction sitting in front of the credits instead of imagining Mr. Hudson with a Trollface grin and exiting the credits instantly.

Because some people wouldn't want that. You acknowledge this fact, then ignore it in the next paragraph. You're being given the power, with the established facts, to sculpt. People on this thread tend to call it "headcanon", although I find that term inelegant.

I myself want increased GaW integration into the storyline. The opportunity to deploy my MP characters (and Randall Enzo if I beat Infiltrator) to sidequests and story missions to unlock additional sequences to make the game easier on Shepard. I object to the best Destroy ending being possible without GaW in the EC.

But I acknowledge that other people disagree. And thus, I accept that Shep can do it on his own. I just pretend he can't for my own story. ^_^
For the record, my saga ends the same way as yours. But other people's sagas might not.

But there's always a possiblilty that the Leviathan of Dis will come into play somehow, and alter the playing field...

Meh, in a world where everyone, even the trees, have shiny glowy green bits, the one without the glowy bits is the creepy freak.

But Synthesis doesn't leave enough struggle for future generations IMO. It's that classic utopia that gets felled in the backstory to a film or game and leaves behind a crapsack world.

For those still interested, I just posted a new chapter. Feel free to give it a read.

Also, due to EC, I'm writing a bonus chapter. It'll skip ahead a bit but it's mainly epilogue and headcanon after destroy ending with highest EMS.

Nice one.Image IPB

BioWare did it. They fixed what I didn't like about the ending.

They also did another thing, again. They made me cry. The only game I've almost cried in, was in ME3. Now in EC, I did it again. The final goodbyes with Tali, and her putting up Shepards sign on the memorial. It was so beutifull.

BioWare has regained my trust. I can now stop thinking about the ending.

They'll never need to say goodbye again.
For the good reasons, or the bad ones? That's up to you to decide.

I'm Sorry... I picked control and will continue to pick it... instead of the sad cop out of a  easter egg  "Breathe" scene at the  end of Destory  the everyone seems to holding on to  as a sad  hope.

So excuse my new AI god Shepard but  he needs to get some Destoryers on building Tali her new   mansion complex on  Rannoch.

And  He'll make sure to have a  husk swing by a night on their annivesery and leave a nice floral arrangment. Because even as the New Catalyst...  He still remembers and always will.

and I'm out...

Oh jesus christ.

Maybe your next dream will be about child support payments and alimony. Full circle!

Child support? are you suggesting that tali and shepherd get a divorce?... plus why would he have to pay child support if it's not his child...

Quick question: If you chose Synthesis, do Tali's eyes glow green when you see her put the plaque on the memorial wall?

I'd guess that they probably are, but I wanna know for sure. I'd never choose Synthesis in any case, so...

Yes. All characters display green glow eyes. IN Tali the faint green glow can be seen if you see close her mask.

Update: Actually BW made a little bypass mistake. In the memorial gathering, Vega does not show a green glow in his eyes but his body does display the synthetic augmentations. Maybe something BW overlook?

*shrug* <_<

Yes they do, some people wonder why she keeps her mask on with synthsys. My headcanon is its a memorial to shepard. But I always chose destroy anyway.

I never looked at the synthesis ending on youtube too closely. After refusing the endings twice, once on purpose, and once on accident, I figured destroy would be the best ending. I promised Tali I would come back for her, and I did by picking destroy. As Legion may have said, humanity will accomplish victory on it's own terms, and that's what destroy pretty much did. I can't figure out if the crucible can target only reapers or not, the catalyst stated things could be better for me. I can only hope that's true...

Though speaking of which, have any of you seen this picture of a unmasked quarian? It makes me wonder if Tali's picture is now even more inaccurate than before. Though that doesn't automatically mean it is. Yet, I will admit quarians have BIG noses.

Im sorry for you.

Picking control. Means. Shep. dies. No matter what you build for Tali, it will not repair her loss. How can you even think this?
And I'd say the "easteregg" is a little more than a "sad hope". The video file is named "Shepard_alive". Bioware states that he is alive. Merizan twittered that it means you'll be ablue to reunite.

And I don't want to remember - I would want to live. With her.

So, would you please hand over your Talimancer license.

And whoever is willing to sacrifice his Shepard must have done something wrong, I can only say it again. My bond to the characters and the team is too strong to let him go like this.

Big noses? first this nose isn't too big after all. Second, it is like you'd say: All humans have big noses. Diversity is given for Quarians too, I'd say.

Weird that Tali keeps up her helmet during the synthesis ending the slides clearly shows quarians without helmets.
personally I'm a control fan. Shepard is still in there and given hist vast reaper knowledge I assume that "reaper"Shepard could clone himself a human body and download himself into it. In his same run of fixing all the other stuff in the galaxy. He ("reaper shepard") could then progress in reviving alll the other races from previous cycles and allow for synthesis of some races (if quarians could loose their helmets and process human food during synthesis it might be something that they could consider as a downloadable app for their suits).

In short while Shepard defenitly dies during control he has done so in the past and as a reaper he's far more able to make a new body then when hes burnend to a crisp. The lazarus project took 2 years to reconstruct Shepard I imagen "reaperSHepard" could make a new "humanshepard". In less then that time

Or he could be overwhelmed, corrupted by the unlimited power and switch to some kind of cruel emperor with the Reapers as his "fist", like the current Renegate ending implies.
