It's probably the mask. The mask hides the pain.Savakka1 wrote...
And to be honest, Tali didn't seem all that sad in the end of that scene, when she did look rather sad in the beginning.Exozze wrote...
Good post Ryuji. I felt the sameway, the goodbyes, and the memorial scene was really heartbreaking. There is however another thing that implies a reunion. We can't se it, because we have Tali. If you have Liara, she does the same thing with the name tag, but before the camera fades away, she smiles, a lot. In Synthesis and control, she cries.
The pain would be worse for Control, I can imagine - than Synthesis. Because in the latter, ol' Shep is stone-cold dead. But in the former one, the Catalyst now wears Shepard's voice, mind, and memories. But not the body or heart. (presumably, this wasn't added in to joss the whole "EDI-style cyborg (wo)man means Shep still lives" thing, but is actually sticking to the canon of transferring AI between blueboxes)
That would hurt. This... thing, that sounds like your loved one, looks like your loved one, thinks like your loved one, remembers everything - but... just isn't.
It's pretty lucky for me that Destroy fits my personal principles best. Even with the synthetic genocide attached (don't get me wrong, I would definitely lose sleep over that in a real situation) it's worth it to be completely free of the Reapers' yoke - even if this yoke would be beneficial to progress in different circumstances. (AKA: Synthesis)
But either way, it's totally worth it.
Tali: "SHEEEPAAAAAAARRRRD!"
Also, as a bonus, an image that looks dirty at first glance, but isn't. <3
