I don't think I've said this, and maybe I'm late to the discussion, but I think all the people raging over Tali's face are missing the point. The entire point of Tali's romance is being able to look past outward appearances to the person inside.
If that were true, they never would have had a face reveal as a photo.
Honestly I'm happy to headcanon what Quarians look like, but if they are going to make a photo they may aswell have gone all the way for an ingame model. Would have made the romance scenes far better.

I have to remake an entire playthrough so I can have a happy ending with Tali.
My Vanguard play-through just... there was no way I could not pick Synthesis, not with the choice he had made in the previous games. He fought TOOTH and NAIL to forge piece and co-operation wherever he could, and was a staunch supporter that life was sacred even if it it was Synthetic.
But he was just a grunt, just a soldier. Not some ruler. He wasn't going to lay control over all the reapers and pretend he was. He didn't know how Synthisis was going to work (it defied his layman understandings of science) but if it worked, then it left a bright future in his wake.
He was willing to give himself away to give the Galaxy that chance.
But that scene at the end with Tali and EDI, it choked me up. There's no way me as a player can leave it as it is.
I need to make a character just for Tali - not sure what class though...
My characters are all based upon what I think I would do in the circumstance. It tends to work out as 70% paragon 30% rengade. I do value life, but as a Spectre I view the permission to do anything to be a freeing one. It allows me to clean up the galaxy of scum. If I know someone is guilty, then I don't see the point of bringing them to the authorities. Thats why I always renegade Garrus. To quote Mordin "Lots of ways to help people. Sometimes heal patients; sometimes execute dangerous people. Either way helps." I also tend to do the 'safe' options - killing the rachni queen, and destroying the heretic geth.
So with that in mind, its always flofor my characters to choose destroy. Reapers and the catalyst deserve death, and ultimately the reaper-coded Geth scare me. EDI is the only one I feel sorry about losing.

So I made this tribute video to Tali and Shepard, and figured I'd share it with everybody on here! The music is "To Build a Home" and it incorporates scenes and dialogue from all three Mass Effect games, as well as the Extended Cut. Hope everybody enjoys it!
As a side note, I'm planning a series of these videos for each character, and I'd love to hear suggestions.
Tali and Shepard "I Have a Home"

So you forcefully rewrote everyone's DNA in a way we could never understand and may have forever changed people?
I'm pretty sure Ash would hate her synthesis self and Javik would throw his out an airlock.

Beautiful. But let my post my comment I also gave on YT:
Nice vid, wrong decision. Why are you creating such a vid without the intention of coming back to her?

-Sythesis: After seeing this ending, I have a new understanding of Saren; it seems he knew what he was talking about more than anyone gave him credit for. This ending also makes me wonder how much Sovereign revealed to Saren. Still, though, I do not see this ending as a victory. From my point of view the reapers are still in charge, just nicer now; reapers still control us. Literally. This "new DNA" just seems like a perfected form of indoctrination. (similar to rewriting the heretics) But no matter how I try to wrap my head around this ending, my conclusion remains the same: the reapers won. I've never heard a story where the best outcome was something like "give the villian exactly what they want and everything will be alright."
-Control: This one disturbed me. There are so many things wrong with having that much power in one person's hands. I mean, I wouldn't feel comfortable with the Illusive Man at the controls, why is it any better with Shepard? Of all the moral quandaries involved with this ending, however, my concern is the same as synthesis: reaper indoctrination still exsists. Shepard controls the reapers now, so it follows that Shepard would also control their indoctrination. Would you trust yourself with that kind of power?
-Destroy: This seems like the best ending to me; no more indoctrination. It does beg the question: why did the reapers allow the crucible, a device they cannot control and could destroy them, to dock with the citadel? My thought, the reapers gambled. Synthesis is what the reapers have wanted all along. They saw an opportunity to achieve their goals with the crucible; all they had to do was convince one more organic. I find it so delicious that for all their powers of indoctrination, the one time they couldn't control the outcome, they perish.
(tl;dr) My opinion about the ending with EC installed?
Reapers = f*** 'em. Kill 'em all. In the words of Sovereign, "You exsist because Bioware allowed it, and you will end because TALI demands it."B)

I'm pretty sure Ash would hate her synthesis self and Javik would throw his out an airlock.
Ash is dead in this playthrough anyways so that settles that problem.
And Javik already said he was killing himself after the war was over so that's of no relevance.
And that's not to say whether or not the shift in perspective will change their minds or not.
Rewriting everyone's DNA - absolutely no effs were given about that. "Forcively" isn't the correct word. It's not as if they had the option for discussion on the matter, so there was no oppertunity to object.
You were 'forced' to be born, you were 'forced' into the living conditions your parents raised you in (if you had any). These are circumstances beyond your individual control. You can fret over them if you wish, but most will deem you immature for them and tell you to adapt if it is unchangeable.
From the perspective of my Shepard. I cannot let those who would object to such a change overrule the fact that it was the best solution given his journey. So yes, people's DNA is altered. They also have access to every civilization's knowledge that ever got harvested. It also enabeled the Geth and Quarian's to completely coexist instead of living segregated. It aparently also helped the Quarians adapt to their enviroment quicker (As indicated by the unmasked Quarian in the slides).
By all indications, Civilization FLOURISHES from Shepard's Synthisis choice - sure there are going to be those who are dejected by the concept that organic and Synthetic lines are inexerably blurred and blended - but there will always be those who fret their circumstances.
So no, no regrets re-writing DNA for the sake of peace. It's not as if we as humans in real life don't already kill one another over racial and religious differences every single day. If I could press a button to give everyone the sum knowledge of human civilization and put an end to ignorance, you can bet I'd press it in a hearbeat - regardless of whether or not you personally wanted the knowledge.
My characters are all based upon what I think I would do in the circumstance.
My Vanguard run is pretty similar to what I would choose. But the problem for me is, I'm of several opinions about everything. I've made it kind of a note of my life to constantly mull over things from differing perspectives. Which means I'll always play the devil's advocate in pretty much any conversation, or at the very least the medium.
But in this circumstance, there really isn't a medium choice. Each option has its flaws depending on what you value as a person.
But Tali had a HUGE effect on me in this playthrough. Enough for me to reroll just for her.
So... what class should I play for a "just for Tali" romance run?

I would recommend either soldier or engineer and do the spacer background. Gives you options to have some things in common.

My canon Shep is a Soldier with the War Hero background. Yeah I know, it's the most boring class in the game...but hear me out. Whenever I hear the name "Shepard", I think of him as Soldier first and foremost. Imho, it fits the story better then the other classes. Also, when coupled with the War Hero background it makes Shepard come across as a "knight in shining armor", so in Tali's eyes it's easy to imagine why she fell in love with him. It just feels natural, I guess....ugh, I could have explained this a lot better lol. Might edit it later if I can be bothered.
Anyways, I was gonna suggest: what you could try doing is an Engineer with Spacer background - this would mean that your Shepard and Tali have a lot in common. I'm actually working on one of these playthroughs right now, in fact.

Yes, and I would have been fine not knowing what quarians look like, but then Bioware messed it up by giving us a picture instead of the real thing. And to be honest, all of their camera angle avoidance of her face gets pretty annoying after a while.

I've been doing this as a Spacer/Sole Survivor Vanguard. Vanguard is a nice class to use with Tali, since we share the shotguns but I have strong biotic skills while she has the tech skills. In ME1 I am tough, in ME2 and 3 I am a destructive force that usually distracts all the enemies away from Tali.
Spacer gives you some common ground, and you both have family which makes headcanon/fanfic more interesting. She has Raan, you have your mother. Sole Survivor aswell, to me, seems the best starting story. Warhero sounds impossible. Ruthless is a bit scary. However its hard to canon why I am being so cooperative with cerberus in ME2, considering I am a loyal alliance soldier whose squad was killed by cerberus.
Edit: Newpage so some tali.

I'm making two of these videos, one sad, one happy. This one was the sad one. Besides, a sad video can be just as good as a happy one.
For the happy one, I'm having trouble coming up with a song. Any ideas would be welcome. I'm kinda feeling "I will always return" by Bryan Adams

Honestly I think the beefy classes are best suited with her (vanguard, soldier, sentinel) that's just my opinion tho. I'd love to try an engineer Talimancer but my hotbar would be a mess... Way too many ablities! And that is not even including the third squad mate...

Colonist: Can easily relate to Tali losing Rannoch.
War Hero: Fights for what is right, will not compromise his character.
My shep also has a dislike towards Batarian criminals, he does not give them another chance to walk away.

hmmmm... maybe a spacer and sole survivor. Except I don't want Shepard to have any family. I want Shep to be know how to handle the loss of parents for Tali in ME2.
Not sure which class though. I don't really want to play as a soldier again but I don't know if the other classes can survive in combat except Vangaurd.
I'm thinking Vangaurd. Tali and I can be shotgun buddies in ME1 at least.
Now I'm thinking Colonist...

Pretty similar to me then, except I went with spacer. First time I've tried to not romance anyone in ME1, which turns out to be quite hard if you enjoy talking to crewmates.
I ended up rejecting Liara, then leaving Ash on virmire. However then Liara still came to my cabin, I rejected, and the save file recorded me as having romanced Liara.
There are some tips around for avoiding romances. Seems there is a specific, very hostile dialogue early on that will avoid the romance forever. Probably best to look that up, or just avoid talking to them, since killing off Ash apparently doesn't work all the time.

Why would you even do that to yourself... good god man what is wrong with you?
As for my Canon Shepard...
Earthborn , Sole Surviver , Vangaurd.
