Too idealistic? When you're as badass as Shepard, you make idealism work. ;)
Granted, there are times pessimism pays off (it's not cynicism if it's right) but you can save everyone while still being a trusting sunshine and bunnies type of guy. You just have to be really good at it.
Emotional? Yeah, I can kinda see why you'd hate that. It is, after all, why Mark Meer is better than Jennifer Hale. He has a soldier's emotions, she has an actress' ones.

YEah, I always thought that his Shep was too blind about how reality operates... but it works.

On a slightly unrelated note, has anyone listened to this? It's a recent audiofile for the Marauder Sheilds comics, made by Koobismo.

It's twenty minutes long, but well worth a listen. There are some pretty hilarious moments in there, plus there's also a pretty solid impersenation of Tali as well!

There's a difference between being an idealistic badass and a hot-temptered, hypocritical zealot who's crew has no real reason to be loyal to <_< tried reading through that fanfic, but the further I got, the more and more I hated the Shepard of the story - once I got to the Terra Nova arc and Shepard's "grand" speech to the people of Terra Nova where the author has him start comparing the Alliance to real-life wars, dictators, and attrocities (all of which I shall refrain from discussing here...) and essentually calling for the overthrow of the Alliance government, I just gave up and quit reading.


Anyway.... back to Tali. :P
