Tali'Zorah ME3 Thread *MAJOR SPOILER WARNING!*

In my 2 ME1 playthroughs, both Ashley and Liara were romanced. In the first one, I didn't even want Ashley, so I rejected her whenever I got the chance. In the second one, I wanted to see why Ashley and Tali consider each other sisters, and I did originally wanted to romance Ashley again, but somehow things changed rapidly and Liara was my LI. In both cases, I did not give up my virginity to them. My virginity is for Tali, nobody else. But that's only for ME1 due to the lack of Tali as a LI; Right now, I can't even imagine going towards the other LI's, because Tali just seems so alone. I feel that Tali needs someone.
Unfortunately, despite some interesting dialog from Tali about the floatilla not being able to afford sexism, I never did understand why Tali and Ashley consider each other sisters. It's so wierd. I can't figure it out. The only guess is that they both hate the geth, and a few other things. Oh well.

Well, I enjoyed the euphoric madness, those were good times.Savakka1 wrote...
It will never be as crazy as it was back in the spring of 2010. I am pretty sure that the near europhic madness of those days can't be matched. Ever.
Based on Rannoch's ecology, indeed. Though with them having to live in the suits for so long, the skin would probably become more delicate and sensitive, which could bring certain temporary benefits with it.:innocent:Apathy1989 wrote...
Ok here is a question for you guys.
I've read alot of fanfics, and there seems to be a variety of descriptions for Talis skin. I don't just mean colour, but texture and sensitivity. What do you think Quarian skin would be like?
Based on the ecology of Rannoch, a desert (looks like) with no insects, and how Quarians are supposed to have evolved to cooperate with it, I imagine tough skin to isolate from the environment but also a fair amount of body hair in order to transport pollen and plant seeds. Thoughts?
Any body hair would most likely be disposed of for comfort in some "permanent" but not non-reversible way (rather not mentioning Tali having long hair on her "official photo" which couldn't be really comfortable in that suit).

My usual lack of romances in ME1 would explain why I didn't know about this.Apathy1989 wrote...
Go to Flux when you are romancing Liara or Ash. When on the dance floor, talk to them and they will say 'next time I will have to show you my dance moves' or something to that effect. Talk to them again to dance.
I'd been planning a Liara-only playthrough, but that plan crumbles everytime I get to Haestrom, right after "... I wish Shepard were here.". I just can't help it, but I don't mind one bit.
Will have to try FemShep for that probably.
Tali in hoodie is best Tali.10Tonne wrote...

Well ill be staying around here for a bit, replayed with a high war asset destroy ending. I pretty much liked it, if they had of done something like this at the start I would have been pretty happy with it. A reunion scene would have been nice (we essentially know that they are reunited due to comments by bioware staff on BSN/Twtter).
Some post mass effect 3 content regarding Tali and continuing the story started by her dark energy findings on Haelstrom would be very interesting. Im nearly 100% sure this wont happen in the form of a game, but perhaps in some other form of media (fanfics included, doing something like this would only be relevant to the shep/tali players so I would highly doubt it would be done by bioware). Still I think there is potential for a very good story there, afterall Tali is in her early 20s in the ME trilogy and it is said that humans now live to 100-150 and that Quarians live for a similar period as humans.
She cant sit on Rannoch doing nothing for 100-120 years can she?
Anyway look foreward to staying around
True, Shepard said his days of saving the galaxy are over, but like he said in the cut conversation with Anderson, he's not a family kind of guy to just settle down, he's a solider, and this a different kind of threat than a giant armada of killing machines for a change, right?:innocent:
Years of adventures with Tali are awaiting him, that is, after he builds that house on Rannoch.

[EDIT] Messed up the quoting
Yeah, it does seem like the next big thing, and since Tali did investigating on it I feel that could go somewhere. About the whole synthetic vs organic, as a fan of the reimagined battlestar galactica I like the idea and for the most part, i just think that bioware not explaining the reaper origin did it a disservice - It kinda makes sense in the EC i guess.
More importantly we need to see the house on Rannoch!

Anyway, I'm not against the "Organics vs. Synthetics" thing in general, but how they handled it in ME3 was just bad, with the kid and all. And it certainly didn't feel like the main theme of the series until the kid mentioned it in the last 20 minutes of the third game, kinda weird time for theme twist if you ask me.
Plus the kid's circular logic, preventing organics from being killed the synthetics by making synthetics out of organics to kill organics and make them into synthetics every 50k years. Not sure if the sentence even makes a goddamn sense but that's the point.
In the EC the kid was at least talking out of experience, because part of his solution to the problem of synthetics turning on the organics was... to turn on his organic creators and turn them into the first of many Reapers.
Don't get me wrong, the theme of the "Organics vs. Synthetics" conflict was present in the series, but I never saw it as a main one, and it was basically resolved on Rannoch which is 2/3 of the game.
Personally, I think the dark energy plot would work much better since it deals directly with mass effect technology wich is even in the title of the series for god's sake.
And yes, house on Rannoch is a must.

I think that ME2 still had some of that inspiration, even some parts of ME3 were genuinely well made.forthary wrote...
Just went through another ME1 playthrough. The more I think about it, the more I come to like it a lot. This game is amazing, and I can see a lot of inspiration in this game; Halo, blade runner, star trek, the 80's, this game was made by inspiration, unlike Mass Effect 2 and 3, which I believe were created by necessity, not inspiration.
As for cut-scenes, that depends. Spaceships scale cut-scenes were good, Fifth Fleet arrival to Widow system was epic(though can't compete with ME3 galactic fleet arrival [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/angel.png[/smilie]). Character scale cutscenes were... some good, some lacking. Noveria for example, still can't take the cut-scenes with Benezia seriously, because the dramatic voice-acting sounds funny with the insufficiently scripted motions and gestures of the characters. And it has great cutscenes and story-telling. Hell, it even has a better ending than ME3, which says quite a bit.
I wouldn't even mention the ending, everything is better than pre-EC ME3 ending and only most of the things is better than EC E3 ending.
Indeed, Tali was definitely woth the waiting. But, despite some of the annoying bugs and minor failures...I was disappointed in the lack of Talimancing. If it was not that, if you could actually romance Tali and be with her...this game could definitely stand on it's own, and you wouldn't even need to play ME2 or ME3. But, I guess that's what ME2 and ME3 are for, huh? Well, good things come to those who wait, and without a doubt, Tali is one of them.
Curiously enough (or maybe not), I romanced Ashley in my first playthrough, still can't figure out why exactly considering how I dislike xenophobes, though in Ashley's case (as in Pressly's) it's more like only a distrust, and for personal reasons. Plus Ash's romance is kinda hard not to trigger without being harsh with her.In my 2 ME1 playthroughs, both Ashley and Liara were romanced. In the first one, I didn't even want Ashley, so I rejected her whenever I got the chance. In the second one, I wanted to see why Ashley and Tali consider each other sisters, and I did originally wanted to romance Ashley again, but somehow things changed rapidly and Liara was my LI. In another playthrough I made sure not to romance Ash by killing her on Virmire, and went with Liara.
Saw Tali more like a little sister to protect at that time since I didn't even know she'll be romanceable.
Now I usually wait out ME1 in the engineering, chatting with my cute walking Quarian codex, and then rush to Haestrom in ME2.

PROBLEM: I'm replaying ME1 and I just did the Therum and Feros missions. I guess I wasn't a big enough ass to Liara because when I talked to Ashley (who I was an ass to) she said that I was interested in Liara. There was no button to say that I wasn't!!! Can I still cancel my apparent and accidental and unintentional romance with Liara? I don't want to romance anyone! How can I ensure that?
1. I think there was a dialog where Ash accuses Shepard of having feelings for Liara (even without LI !).
2. Why this on a Tali thread ???
Because I want to have my Shep only ever romance Tali and I got scared that I would need to reload a save from a long time ago.
Thanks iSpaz!

Is there any explanation to what happened with the eco-system of Rannoch after the Quarians were forced to leave the planet? If they are the seed bearers and pollinators, it should have been collapsed without them.
I doubt the Quarians were the only fauna native to the planet.

Just becouse you have a house doesnt mean you have to stop moving arround. Since galactic travel only takes a few hours with the Mass Relays, they could live on rannoch, and go on a day trip to tuckunka or somewhere and be back intime for dinner.

Then we can go off to the adventure... And probably stop the dark energy growth before it "consumes" us all. But stop at Tuchanka would be nice, you know, fight a few krogans, beat some tresher maws, the usual stuff.:innocent:
But speaking of galactic travel, we have to take into account that the relays will be non-functional for some time, considering how much eezo will be needed to power them up after the necessary repairs, among other things.

Though keep in mind it's not official. But it's a vital resource in holding the line for our LI's.
And yes, I did fill it out. I didn't feel like contributing to other LI's besides Tali though, since I never did seriously romance them. Oh, and that im lazy.

Not sure if someone else has already done this, but I made a texmod to replace the default photo with Unicron9's edit.
This is the first texmod I have ever made so nothing drastic going on here.

This is only for the PC version of Mass Effect 3. Texmod is required for this to work.

This thread has a lot of textures for use in Mass Effect 3 as well as instructions on how to use Texmod.
