The only other thread I lurk/occasionally post in is the Miranda thread.  I can't remember the last time I saw bashing of other characters in that thread.  But it is 620 pages long and I haven't read them all.

It's there on occasion, but it's gotten better.

Anyway, it just strikes me as silly.  There are certain things I like about virtually every Mass Effect character.  I've even come around to liking Jack.

I agree. Some people don't understand that putting down another character that someone likes doesn't make the character they like better.

I am glad they chose the "current" model option for tali as well.

I should clarify that I am not asking for any major redesigns, hell Tali's current look isn't that major of a redesign from her old one. All I want is a few changes to keep things fresh, maybe even closer to what quarians are supposed to do with their suits just some decoration, maybe some armor you know?

I'm not asking for an ashley style change here.

Would it be too much to ask for everyone to have casual clothing while not in combat, considering Shep's strutting around in a hoody, of all things? I mean, Garrus' ME3 armour looks like it must weigh a couple hundred pounds, must make calibrating awkward. I'm sure Tali doesn't need quite so many straps & pads while working, though as she lives in the suit anyways, it's less of a big deal for her, admittedly.

Do Turians take off their armor, Grunt said you don't see it too often; speak of the devil, I wouldn't expect to see him take his off either. Everyone else, their outfit was causal wear to begin, I don't think Jack could get anymore relaxed lol. Made sense for the Alliance crew, as I would expect them to have Alliance issued armor, which they take off. Everyone else, wouldn't make a lot of sense.

Well we do see some turians out of armor in ME2. Its a silly looking hood thing for them. Probably doesn't look silly to a turian, but hey. :P

In any case I agree with you donotingest, it would be great to have casual outfits, but I don't think we will be getting strictly casual outfits. So far it just looks like options for armor. I would be glad to be proven wrong, but we will probably have to manually toggle the armors every time we hit the normandy.

I already do that for miranda in ME2, but it would be nice for some sort of auto option.

And look at that, apparently the least chosen option is neutral... :P
That's one thing I like about Tali's character, as she is well written and flashed out, she is polarizing: she almost always elicits emotion, one way or the other, and that's what a good fictional character must do in my opinion...

Bland characters who elicit little emotional response and often obtain a lot of neutral looks from the fandom are not bad per se, but they often tend to be, sadly, forgotten or to fade in the background...

That's my opinion anyway... :)

I tended to believe that she elicited 95% positive emotion, to a point that there were so many Tali fans, some had to be nutters. And then some went and analyzed her sweat, which threw off a bunch of people who were merely fond of her, and thus the Talihating began.

Finally, after many years, she created the most important advancement in quarian history: a suit-mounted toilet.

I'd lol, but I can't find anything remotely toilet-related at all in that awesome drawing.

What if Tali had a "clean room" as her private quarters to walk around freely without the suit (If they ever decided to reveal her face or not in which I personally am fine with either decision) Then again she probably prefer to sleep in the engine room LOL

I had two polls, one asking why people disliked tali (with a dummy option for talimancers so they could see the data if they wish) and then another one asking why people liked tali.

Here and Here respectively.

No, you're thinking of Miranda.

That's some awfully funny sounding snoring coming from the engine room, then.

Everytime someone mentions Miranda and the engine room I regret not choosing her as the tech specialist...

Ugh! Even the machinery, Miranda?

Tali's never been happier to be in a fully sealed sterile suit. I pity the K&G.

What makes you think that they haven't made the jump to hyperspace themselves down there?

Who do you mean by "they"? Tali and Shepard, or Kenneth and Gabby?

This conversation is getting overtly overt.

Tali's fingers are awesome.
