Looking at it logically, the galaxy was rebuilt which means that rubble Shepard breathes in would have been cleared up and they wouldve found him. Word would have gotten around that Shepard isnt MIA and the eventually it would get to the Normandy and then ultimately Tali. Can I hear Rannoch or at least living of of the royalties with Garrus on a beach? Preferably Rannoch?
Amen, brotha.

She plays it cool if you let her down nicely in ME2 or ME3 (again, just for curiosity, then reload...), but man, that (appropriate) response to a jerk Shep in ME2 indicates how much impact it may be having underneath.

So if Tali and Liara got into a catfight (puddle of mud optional), who would win?
And how much would you pay for the inevitable vid?
Any amount.
And Liara would probably win bc Tali doesn't have the upper body strength. But in this case, everybody wins. Well, anyone watching does

Wow, was replaying earlier parts of one of my Tali LI ME2 games and since it was just experimenting I finally chose the dismissive/renegade response when she asks if I'm still interested in her. All this time and yet I never tried this. But her reaction is worth seeing to know more about the character, a fiery "damn you, I trusted you!" smackdown of Shep.

I dunno. I think dumping any of your squadmates should be cause enough to leave if you are a jerk about it. Its a huge breach of trust.
Some people play Shepard as a player who goes around the ship screwing with everyone. I know its the minority but part of me wants the game to slap them down.

Dunno I imagine physically Tali would be pretty strong. Liara just has biotics to help her.

Indeed. I quite liked that Tali aggressively tells Shep to shove it if he is a jerk, it felt quite real with her well-acted anger as well. This was just a fascinating alternative for me to see on a reload having never actually sampled that option before, and not something my actual regular playthrough ever had or would ever have.

My last play through during Garrus's recruitment mission. I picked the option to leave Tali behind with him. Instead of the usual "Just like old times!" she responded with something along the lines of "Um are you sure that's wise?." Seems like she doesn't trust Garrus if you don't recruit him in ME1. ;p

Even now it's always interesting to go back and choose some dialogue option you haven't seen before.

Interesting, I just blasted VERY quickly through another ME1 run and left him unrecruited for the first time as well. Another thing I never did was tell Hackett that he can keep his side missions...only to discover that he actually yells at you quite convincingly. So I yielded and said fine after that...and immediately went to Ilos. Hah.
Back to Tali, I now realize why I never saw that Renegade option with her before. It was because my "canon" primary Shep only has eyes for her in ME2 and never flirted elsewhere. This other later game I was running out of time for replays for ME3 import and decided to make an intended Miranda LI file also work under end-game replay as yet another Tali LI file. So I did leave the two hanging until right before the final rush, which for this Shep (both Sheps 100% Paragon) he was given the offensive Renegade option instead of only the top two. But that wasn't the way I was actually playing this character, he was two different Sheps sprouting out from the one file.

Is it weird that I can never bring myself to do 'experiment' playthroughs like this? Being a renegade Shepard is too hard for me since I like being nice to everyone, and I can only imagine how impossible it would be for me to ever turn down Tali. :/ I know in my mind it's just a video game, but still.

It was actually tough to hear (well-acted anger) and will immediately make you feel bad for choosing the option. Keep in mind I only sampled it by reloading an old Normandy save-point, it is not something I would ever have triggered and stuck with for a playthrough.

Nope it's not weird at all I prefer playing renegon/renegade Shepards. And even then i can never be mean to Tali...Anyone else I don't mind being an ass to (except Liara that's kinda painful too heh). Tali is the one character I can never kill off just to see the end results. It hurts me too much lol.BrysonC wrote...

Btw read your ff yesterday really like your writing style. Looking forward to updates.
Edit: I'll try to read the other FF's later tonight or something.

Apparently I take that to an ever greater extreme, as there isn't a single character I would feel comfortable letting die if it can be avoided...even Jack, and I was never a big fan of hers. Hell I don't like Zaeed, either, but I still go out of my way to get his loyalty and keep him alive in ME2.
And thanks much, chapter 2 is in progress at the moment.

You know, on the subject of renegade options and Tali - I heard that you could choose the Geth on Priority:Rannoch. I can't bring myself to even TRY a fully renegade Shep now because of what happens to her.

More to follow. I've got this....sort of idea kicking around in my head that goes beyond the two of them, but more on that if it ever develops. I've got about a week of free time left in which to write before my life becomes insane for 10 months.

But..but I thought siding with the geth and killing the quarians was a paragon option...Tokaki wrote...

A question:
What makes choosing the Geth over the Quarians renegade ? Or vice-versa, The Quarians over the Geth ?
[The Geth option stand at right top (normally blue options --> Paragon), the Quarian option at right bottom (normally red options --> Renegade).]
Again, what makes it Paragon or Renegade ?
Why didn't they make Geth left and Quarians right ???

Won't ever be trying that one. Loading up an old ME2 save just to experience a solid bit of Ash Sroka voice acting triggered by breaking up is one thing...but this possibility is anathema to me. Now admittedly I do have one "everyone dies" file in ME2 including even Tali, but that occurred offscreen.
Even then, when that imported file came to Rannoch I let Auntie Raan prove how handy she is with a shotgun if Tali isn't there to make peace (or use that knife).
