Lol if swapping discs 30 times would mean I could get to Tali earlier, I'd do it.

And Kopper, too much Tali? More like too much VS.

"U r Cerberus?" "U SURE u not cerberus" "Trust me U cerberus lol" " I trust Udina more than u lol"

Yeah, that's true. There really wasn't a reason to compact the game's recruitment.
I mean, only PC gamers blow their tempers over the tiniest technical difficulties.

It's the console pedigree. Dusty arcades, blowing on cartridges, swapping between four CDs for FFIX... Feels like home.

They weren't in the second game. (except as a cameo) Tali was. Even Garrus was optional in the first game, and the Rannoch subplot pretty much forces you to keep Tali alive. She really is dangerously close to being The Wesley. Some people don't like her, don't forget. (Also, I love being the sane one on a romance thread sue me )

And if the VS trusts Udina more than you, stop screwing up so much.

I kill the VS because I can not because I have to. I always have enough Renegade to save them.

I feel that they don't deserve to live if they trust Udina more.

The Mass Effect series also forces you to keep Liara alive.

Liaras is a creepy stalker if you don't romance her... but can't say I want her dead. Same with VS, despite all of Ash's ****ing all game, never wanted to shoot her.

@apathy I hear that. My Shepard loves his crew, everyone who has been with him throughout ME and ME2, too much to want any of them dead. It doesn't mean it didn't make him angry when the VS pointed their gun at him though.

What does that matter to a Renegade Shep who killed Wrex and destroyed the cure from ME2?

But lets get back on topic.

What do you think Tali's favorite shotgun is? I think it's the Geth Plasma Shotgun.

[Edit: Reffering to Kopper's comment]

It matters because Admiral Hackett told you to do it.
Also, her favourite shotgun likely requires minimal aiming. Because her headshot-getting skill is almost nonexistent. :P

But she's pretty good at taking hearts, because she stole mine. Posted Image

Stole hearts?  Nah, there was no stealing of hearts with me.  Tali might be a good quarian thief, but she can never steal my heart.  Only I can give it to her.  And I did.  I gave her whatever I could.

Not to start a fight with N7Kopper, but if I remember, Admiral Gerrel says 'Fourteen days ago, with precision strikes' - so the war may already have been going when the Reapers attacked Earth. I am willing to admit to being mistaken though - is there a specific timeline somewhere of how long passes between Earth and Palaven, then Tuchanka, then the Citadel? It could be fourteen days, I suppose. Or longer.

I'm also not saying N7Kopper is wrong from a plot standpoint - there is a certain argument that says you have to choose between:

A: The Turians. A council race AND one of the most respected military organizations (and the largest) in the galaxy - by aiding them you could also bring in one of the most feared groups of warriors in the process.

B: A group of migrants, drifters, and other assorted terms that the rest of the galaxy doesn't like (It's in all the Codex entries and in several plot points through the series.) just because your girlfriend happens to be one.  You let Palaven burn and risk Tuchanka for people that are very much considered second class citizens.   Remember, the choice option to save the quarians or the geth?   The 'Paragon' option is to let the quarians die.  Maybe we hold the quarians in higher regard because of Tali - but the rest of the galaxy certainly doesn't.

Yeah, I want more Tali in the game too, but I have to agree about the plot issues. The only way around it and allow you to get Tali earlier might've been to make her a citadel stop IF you chose to let her be exiled, rather than a 'dirty little secret' the admirals were using to fight the geth.

...so I'd take a guess and say her favourite shotgun is the Scimitar, lol.

Scimitar eh? A mix between a huge pistol and an SMG.

The weaknesses of both, and the strengths of neither!

Tali would love this shotgun.

Um, 'cuse me, I think it's already been proven that "The Wesley" of the ME universe is a certain blue-skinned "naive scientist-turned-ruthless info broker" alien girl... who likes to seemingly stalk Shepard...

Garrus and Tali are Shepards loyal friends.

Liara is the friend who collects his underwear when he isn't looking.

Plotwise I agree that things should remain as is, although another priority mission before or after Thessia would have been nice, like returning to Sur'kesh to rescue the Dalatrass (grating as she may be) or to assist STG teams in general (and to my knowlege, Sur'kesh was never directly attacked by the Reapers, but it might have been in the codex); seeing Sur'kesh's cities and populations under attack by the Reapers would also put further emphasis on the utter destruction that they bring.

We also never got to witness the elcor and their "living tanks" in action, and a mission to the high gravity elcor homeworld might also have been another opportunity.

The game did seem too short at the end, especially with getting Tali so late. I hate having to pace myself in the N7 missions and other side missions to get the most dialogue and time with her on the squad.

Any word on whether the voice actors (besides Meer and Hale) will be back for future DLC?

DA2 got all of their voice actors back for DLC, so we can hope. I think DA2s voice actors aren't as highly paid though, being minor tv and stage actors while ME series has film and major tv actors.

An interview with her voice actress

While we're on the subject of all things Tali. Some of you may have already read that.

@18 Brains - I would think they'd have to be, unless they were planning another DLC like Arrival, where you have to go in alone.

Oh god I hope it's not like that. The Arrival DLC felt empty somehow without squadmates. And now that I'm used to squadmate banter - one of the good improvements in ME3 over ME2 - it would feel even weirder.

Of course, it's possible they'll play it like the Overlord DLC, where your squadmates come along but never say anything.

All I know is that if I'm able to bring mah Tali along, she'd better have something to say. >:|

Why not make one with being alone as playable squadmate ?

A playable Tali solo run ?

You guys do realize that the fleet is mobilizing right after the Mars mission. It's in the news thing in the spectre's center. Had it been located, far greater fleets could have been aquired in the end, because the entire conflict could have been potentially averted. That said, the Quarians would likely not settle until they had taken their planet, so I would say that Bioware handled the situation in one of the best ways possible. I do agree that doing the major missions like they were in ME1 would have been better, but that's not what happened, so suggesting anything else, would, as Kopper is saying, require a major overhaul of the existing plot.

I've only done the Tali romance track once. :<

As for the timeline, that's up for interpretation. However I maintain that it's mentioned somewhere they began the operation just before the Reapers appeared in force in the galaxy. The reaper overtures to the geth came shortly afterwards.

And for the last friggin' time, squadmates in this game don't have any dialog for missions they can't be in "legally" unlike in 2. Plus, both Tuchanka and Rannoch are on disc 2.

Of course, but I'm saying that is precisely by design. They didn't create content because they needed to appropriately split the game into two discs for the 360. Tali does have dialogue for a mission or two that is technically inaccessible for her though.

It would break the plot, end of story. You really can't justify doing Rannoch first, because then both Tuchanka and Palaven burn. There is no way around this.

Plus, it gives the added benefit of making sure we don't get too much Tali. The last thing I want is her becoming Wesley Snipes 2.0.

Like Garrus? I didn't think there was too much Garrus but he's available at nearly the beginning of all 3 games.

And I would respectfully disagree about the plot-breaking; one could easily find ways around it because neither the krogan or turians directly impact the part of the story you play. The krogan can't solve every problem, they're just ground troops. They don't have ships, the quarians and geth bring ships. \\o/

My main point is that it would be nice to be able to choose the order like the other games, simply for variety. Right now it's very linear and seems out of place in comparison.

Still it's a moot point now as they went with what they went with.

While I liked the game overall, with the way things turned out, I don't think a major overhaul of the plot would be such a bad thing.

Still, the point is taken.

Hm I got bored since I've run out of Tali fanfic to read, and so tried to read some Liara fanfic.

Didn't seem nearly as good, and I felt like I was cheating on Tali. Is that weird?
