The last paragraph is just wrong. The cutscenes tell you nothing about someone's capability. According to cutscenes, Thane can teleport. We both know it's Kasumi and the N7 Shadow who really teleport.

And as for the other points, I do notice Tali tends to cower a little more than, say... James. Or maybe it's just because my Infiltrator doesn't draw as much aggro. (Shepard draws aggro just for being Shepard, you know)

Well you seem to be using gameplay as an example. You are assuming he can't but we don't actually know. I'm not saying we need to see Tali doing a bunch of bull**** martial arts or whatever. But it wouldn't hurt to see what she is actually capable of. As ridiculous as some of the cutscenes are in this game are I really doubt they would show us Tali punting a brute off a cliff...Actually now I wouldn't be so suprised. >_<

I play a vanguard since I use a shotgun i'm usually up in the action with Tali so /shrug. I also edited my coalesced so Tali doesn't stay in cover for very long lol. She shoots like a manic it's great...

I'm honestly having an impossible time at seeing what's the issue here. I have seen plenty of fics which don't have any contradictions to gameplay at all, and manage to add more interesting elements to it while doing so.

Well obviously. Thane never teleports to assassinate Nassana, he drops through a vent. He doesn't teleport against Kai Leng, he gets in a cheap shot or two, then gets skewered, before the fight lasted long enough for his illness to pose any real issues. He never teleports in your squad either, unless you give him Kasumi's Shadow Strike, which takes modding.

I think you misunderstood him. Naturally you can't write anything lore breaking to the story or combat, but if you can make it better with say adding some tactical elements or CQC that haven't/can't been implimented in a game's engine, than why not?

If that was what he was truly trying to say, then he misunderstood me. Because that's what I was trying to say. But add "gameplay and lore breaking" to where you put lore breaking.

...Yeah, I'd have to agree with Tali. Mostly because I'm worried about what Shepard might do if she attacks me and I hurt her in self-defence. But also because I don't want to hurt her. She's too lovely to hurt.

Thugs are stupid.
Effectively leveraged, two on one, you can take even the baddest of asses. (provided they're not made of iron or have superpowers) But being a vital plot character tends to confer protections.

Well, okay. Mass Effect isn't really known for it's realism dude. Of course living through a bunch of horrible stuff doesn't grant you immortality, but since we are kind of talking about fanfiction about a character, then chances are that Tali will have a pretty high survival rate.

Well then, call it what it is. It's love armour. All those battles may improve Tali's odds of surviving a rock to the head or a crash, but not by too much. I'd say around a third better odds.

But then again, she could keep calling Shepard "captain", remain a squadmate, and abuse the holy hell out of the death avoidance powers that offers. She probably calls him that anyway, when she's in the kind of mood where I'm not watching them so how would I know what's going on.



And as for Shep? Nope. He would never die in a crash, or anything silly like that.
Not even to getting spaced, and as we all know that so nearly did him in he was clinically brain dead (which is different from actually being dead dead BioWare lern2medicalscience)
Getting shot in the face by Harbinger and pulling the most brazen act of not-dying in history would do that.

Ok, on the subject of Tali pictures..does anyone have a link or know where I can find that copy of the one that the fan redid? They took the original stock photo and redid it - much better than BW did - including the correct placement of her fingers. Anyone seen it? I saw it once, and now I can't find it.
