We need more fanfics. Some of the big writers I follow like Sergio/Andrio and Octo8 have slowed down with their publishing and it's great to have new perspectives on Tali. By all means, update the thread notifying us when you publish your story/chapters.

Fade to a cutscene where Shepard wakes up in their cabin, notices a snoring Tali hidden under the sheets, with bits of her suit and his clothes strewn around the floor or hanging from his model ship collection... with the Quarian ship and the Geth ship positioned in a way that cannot be described...
Cue Shepard pausing and wondering how his socks got in the fish tank...

The only thing wrong with the drinking scene was that a romanced Shepard couldn't join in for a drink.

Hmmm, I should keep that in mind for a possible fanfic in the future. If you'll let me of course.

Feel free! I'm curious how those socks got in the fish tank myself?

What's with tali trying to convince me Miranda's dead? Tali's supposed to be my trusted ally! That's not funny tali!
cute scene otherwise.
I recorded this scene with Fraps and watched it a couple of times, just to see if it seems like she's saying Miranda is dead, and I don't see it at all. I see it instead as a: "Miranda has faded from our lives." Sort of thing. She's not dead, but the likelihood that she'll return to the Normandy is very, very low (especially since it is now an Alliance ship.)
Plus, even if Miranda lives, Miranda has accomplished something Tali never could - and it is too late for her to stand up to her father - Tali sees herself as always living under her father's shadow, especially now that she's an admiral.

That is how I try to see it when I play. Regardless, very clever writing by the team, as it works both ways.

Yeah I always saw the scene as this. Tali is too late to stand up to her father, and admires Miranda. Either she is sorrowful because Miranda died doing it, or sorrowful because Tali will never see her own father again.
I do wish there was more mourning in ME2 about Talis father, or at least discussion of it. Tali recovered very quickly. Shepards hugs must be good.

An interesting take on Shepard's decision - wish it were a little longer, and am hoping that the first chapter is a heftier chunk of fanfic goodness.
Also, you might consider posting it to Fanfiction.net, where I think you'd find a larger readerbase and a higher chance of helpful reviews.

On another note, has anyone ever thought about shepard learnijg kelish so he can listen to her voice without a.translator? Judging from the untranslated quarian you hear in ME2 humas should be able too.

A Talimancer is a wild, rabid beast which is commonly encountered on the Bioware Social Network. They are unique animals since they are the result of an unfortunate occurence where a perfectly logical male gets infected by the Talimancus Romancus virus. This turns the human being to a drooling beast which crusades against everyone and everything who doesn't want to f*ck Tali, or find out what her sweat smells like. Talimancers are pack animals who group together, and they prey on anyone who doesn't like Tali.
If you encounter one in the wilds, the best course of action is to ignore it. However, if it is aggressive and tries to come at you, play dead. If you fight back, the beast will call it's pack to help him, and then you are f*cked.
"It started off as an analysis of Tali's sweat, trying to figure out what it'd smell and taste like. I quickly realised that most scents originate from bacteria, which would be minimal to non-existant for quarians.
The next best thing, would be urea. Urea is essential for the metabolism of mammals, and also a bonding agent (For say, p-cresol and o-cresol, two odor chemicals found in sweat. Though these likely aren't available to quarians), and it, and residues of the amino acids and chemicals used in its production are excreted through many different ways. Urine, sweat, etc,"
-A post by a very creepy Talimancer
