I wonder what it sounds like.

IE, more than one word.
Does it flow well or is it like German and sound badass? :P

Impossible to tell, because every single quarian has weirdly different accents, lol. Tali sounds vaguely Middle-Eastern, Koris, Gerel, and Xen sound British, and some of them sound European. So random.

I've always thought it would sound kind of like arabic, for some reason.

I like to think it sounds like english. Because most quarians do indeed have accents matching english speaking countries.

Apathy, I really like that idea, but with two suggestions. You could have the begining differ if you are paragon or renegade. Paragon Shepards turned themself in, renegade did not. Old crew could still be around, as in the paragon path they got to stay on the Normandy (Since it was clear Anderson was going to be put in command, he could have pulled some strings to keep the non alliance people around.)

Well yeah if it was a game that would be a good option.

Honestly though I play paragade, and I would not have turned myself in. Put myself at the mercy of a board full of people who don't believe in the reapers... after having blown up a star system because of it. That will not go well, and only be counter to my efforts to save the galaxy.

No. Better to spend 6 months trying to secure a Geth-Quarian peace, gathering intel and cooperating with cerberus. Hackett and Anderson are great guys, but two people in the military are not enough to help Shepard.

Yep I'm a paragade too but I'd go to Omega set up my sniping post and say come get me ****es it's the Alamo!

but seriously I told Hackett to stall for a reason I wanted to use that time to not only secure my alien crewmen getting off my ship and gaining some distance politically from me I'd try to limit the damage to my crew as much as possible maybe dry dock the Normandy somwhere hidden disperse the crew, give them assumed names, then take a shuttle to Earth and honor Hackett's reqest after all he did stall for me I can't ask him to do more.

During my limiting casualties time frame I would've definitly made it a point to be with my LI, come up with a backup plan incase my trial went poorly, and make sure they would be fine where ever it was they were going and etablish a way to get in touch with them.

My plan would be similar, only I'd have EDI and Tali build/program an android that looked like me and send THAT to earth while I go around building forces from those that knew the reapers were coming. We know the STG knew, and Shep has Kirrahe, Thane could report it to the Hanar and the horrible fate of thier 'gods' to get them onboard, Samara could use her pull as a justicar to get the Asari matriarchs onboard, and Garrus (who probably records EVERYTHING on his visor) could most likely go right over sparatus' head and get the hierarchy on board.

Then when the Alliance realizes they've been tricked, I'm just like "There's reapers and **** dawg, couldn't afford a jail sentence that would lead to a space magical macguffin and a story that didn't make sense in the last 10 minutes"

Well let me ask this...What if the Batarians navy were outside the Sol Relay...ready to attack Earth unless they get Shepard?

Why I ask this is because I recently put Humanity in Batarians shoes during that situation. If we were attacked in that way, would we have just let it slide like the Batarians did? (I'm sorry but I really felt like the Batarians just didn't care. I think they would have done a lot more to get to Shepard.)

You might as well post it somewhere. You've already broken the laws of the universe, and I'm sure someone on the Internet would appreciate it.

You kidding? Cheese would love that story. Not enough gutwrenching heartache for Terror's taste, I'd imagine.

Their sweaty and exhausted bodies collapse into each other, both emotionally and physically spent. After many moments of panting, Shepard asks Tali currently wrapped in his arms a question he had been wondering about for quite some time.
"Tali, how do you say, 'Totally worth it' in Khelish?"
Tali looked up at him. A noticeable naughty twinkle entered her eyes.
"I'd prefer you learn to say 'Let's do that again' first."

Is there really no sample of Khelish anywhere?

And I don't think Shepard and Tali use translators. English is very easy and possibly easier than other galactic languages. Humans can't speak Asari, according to a book.

Looks exactly like a quarian except it has human eyes and is levo based.

Yes! It is in fact the only alien langudge we hear un translated! During the first part of the trial in me2, you can hear murmering in kelish at one point!

Eh. I imagine many species cannot speak other species language. Vocal chords will allow for different tones and ranges. From we've heard of Kheelish though it seems easy enough to speak.

However I doubt any of the alien crew are speaking english. Humans are new on the scene, and what is the point of learning dozens of languages when you can just use a translator?

The illusive man spoke fluent asari before he founded cerberus.

Which was due to his exposure to the Reaper artifact that Saren's brother found.

They are not. Sorry. I remember last time I brought up a similar question about 1,000 or 500 pages back. They are not because they are separate species and the zygote would never form due to levo and dextro amino acid differences. They are incompatible.

I blame Cheese's influence on me! No, I joke. I think a well rounded writer should have practice in any and every subject relating to his/her muse subject. :D No holds barred here.

Wait! English is easy!? It has Latin grammar! The worst part of Latin! English is my first language and it makes no sense!
I'd probably take Khelish over English any day.

Well, for asari at least, they have a lot of time on their hands. Learning a language could come in handy.

Didn't samara say she studied other cultures when she knew she had to leave asari space? (referring to knight errants and samurai)
