My wife's design. Modeled after Tali but could be any Quarian.

Who is going to bring Tali along in Leviathan DLC?

Team Dextro Assemble!

Hells yeah - Garrus and Tali for life. And I also get the added benefit of romancing Tali while Garrus looks on, longingly... >:D

Can someone tell me how to add the '' Tali deserves a better ending '' pic at bottom of posts?

Depends.  Do you want the large version (like mine) or the small version?

To make the image appear at the bottom of your posts, start by right-clicking the image and copying it.

Then, go to Profile: Forum Settings, from which you should be brought to a screen that has you editing your "Signature."  Whatever you post here will then appear at the bottom of your posts as your signature.

For the small version, simply copy a version available (like Nozzivix's).  The larger version is actually four images combined, each making up a quartile of the full image.  To get this image, simply right-click and copy at each of the corner areas (the link should be slightly different for each).

Hope that helps! Posted Image

Can't you pre order the new Tali play arts figure from Bioware store?

Not yet. Apparently a few of the Japanese figure websites (like HobbySearch Japan) have only just started taking pre-orders this past week, and a few entries have shown up on eBay but I'd wait a month or so and see where the best deals appear. I have preorders for the first group (BroShep, Ashley and Garrus) through a website that ship to New Zealand for an affordable price and I'm expecting them to start taking preorders soon.

I gotta say, Americans have things easy when it comes to getting good deals from places like Amazon and eBay - so many times have I found something I want, only to find they won't ship internationally. Being at the ass-end of the plant blows ;3;

Same here. Shipping from the Bioware store costs something like 23 bucks. Still its more cheap to order it from there than to go to a store in Sweden to buy it.

Discovered the "To Survive" series earlier this week, and just finished "To Survive: Alliances" last night. Fantastic series so far.

Is this the best Tali fanfic?

The "Razor's Edge" series by  Tairis Deamhan is good as well. Both he and Calinstel post here sometimes.

http://www.fanfictio.../Tairis_Deamhan

Also good are stories by Andrio (known as 'sergio') on these boards.

Famous stories for Tali fans  from way back in the day. Some back to ME1 days I believe.

Both authors you mention are excellent, though I grew tired of the excessive dark tone of Razors Edge. Its rather unrelenting, when what I love in fanfic's is the banter between squadmates and LI's.

"To Survive" fleshes out Quarian culture very well, to the point where much of it has become my personal head-canon.

As soon as I got far enough in the story in ME3, I actually flew out to the Tikkun system to compare the official version of the Rannoch home system with the one in the "To Survive" stories. Was way different ingame though.

Seriously.... Bioware should just replace the ingame version with this...
Fans making a pic that is 151509157891589158998159815891 times + 157878157891598 better.

I'm thinkin' this is my new head-canon Tali.  I love the straighter hair.  Does this pic use the same source material as the BioWare one?

This is how I imagined Tali all along since ME1 :).
I found it in this thread from an earlier post a few months ago I think. Someone here created it can't remember who. I just wanted to share it again since it's so awesome :D

This is how the game should have eneded :(

Yeaah, I think i'm inclined to agree with you about Razors Edge now. I've been away from home for about two weeks so I've missed the last couple of chapters. I've only just caught up.

I was really hoping that the whole death-wish thing would die out after a few chapters or so, but it seems like Tairis is looking to make the whole half-crazy-indoctrinated Shepard a constant theme throughout the fic...which is more then a little worrying. Like you, I also love reading the banter between squadmates, and whilst this was evident in the first RE and also in Dark Witness, it's sorely lacking in this one.

The fact that Tairis seems to be leaning towards using the IT is also really meh, if that scene at the end of chapter14 is anything to go by. I've not given up on RE yet though, and I'll still continue reading it. I just hope things start to get better soon.

^ Pretty much my exact thoughts on Requiem as well,  which is a shame cause the original Razor's Edge is one of my favorite ME fanfics (as is most of its sequel, Dark Witness, at least until the Shadow Broker twist near the end), but the third and final fanfic of the series is just really turning me off with how Shepard's developed as a character, his interactions with his crew (Tali, Garrus, etc), and just how 'dark' the character and his values are are becoming.

Apparently I need to just make this an author's note:

I have never read a single one of the threads on 'Indoctrination theory' or any of the various youtube videos, etc. I always found the desperate attempt to credit Bioware with some sort of master plan (which seemed to be the gist I got when it was mentioned) as a pointless grasping at straws. To sum up, my entire knowledge of the 'IT' is that it's a theory and indoctrination is involved. :?

As a more general response, I can't really account for taste on either end of the spectrum *shrugs* Some people are going to like it, some people aren't. The final chapter was always going to be the darkest considering the stakes. In the end I appreciate everyone that's read, reviewed, and commented one way or the other.

Thist doesn't mean the entire story is going to be one long season of 'Rescue Me' (netlfix it, if you watch a season or two of that and dont reconsider your position on suicide I'm impressed), but at the same time if you're hunting for fluff... yea, Requiem is always going to come up lighter on it than the original RE so I figured I'd warn ya now. Sometimes you have to hit bottom to see how high you were to start with

Yeah I gave up on RE after the chapter Shepard throws Tali out of the cabin, because he feels he will shoot her from indoc. IT is meh. Depressing stories that never lift up are meh.

Edit: Tairis Deamhan pops in after I post. Don't want to sound hostile or anything, your writing is great but not my cup of tea. Life is depressing enough for me.

Everyone's got their own tastes, I'm not going to blame anyone for that. Admitedly if people were readers and had issues it would be nice for someone to tell me on FF.net when it actually alerts me to said comments so I can actually address them one way or the other. :wizard:

In a nutshell... I know there are plenty of people that don't like depressing and I respect that. But I at the same time I can't write a story that involves the deaths of billions without a good bit of it being rather depressing lol.

Also, randomly since Calin was mentioned: Was always a big fan of his work. I don't entirely agree with how he protrays quarians as his series goes on (a little too romantized for my tastes) but I definitely got a lot of ideas from him back in the days of the original 'Tali Threads' when we both posted regularly. His drunk Tali was damned entertaining too. If anyone hasn't read his stories I'd highly recommend them. It's quite a fun ride.

I've read both yours and Calinstel's works up to date, and have enjoyed both (although you did leave us with a bit of a cliffhanger there Posted Image).  Speaking of cliffhangers, it's a shame that Calin hasn't completed his last fic; looked to have some great potential, too.  Still, can't force it to happen and expect the same quality, I guess.

Been working on a fic of my own, and while I haven't been able to write too often in recent days, I'm almost ready to start posting it.  Granted, I'm attempting to cover the ME story from 1 to 3 with it, but I think I'd be able to commit to it once I start a more set routine.  Finding re-writing Kaidan and Ashley to be the most difficult, as they didn't have too much to their personalities in the first game.

Also, I post as timbryanscott on FF.net, and find your writing, while dark, to make sense given how you've set it up; one can hope that Shepard doesn't try to push Tali away for much longer, although his track record suggests otherwise.Posted Image
