The bachelor party conversation on Illium in ME2 addresses that. Its possible Asari are telepathically controlling or shapeshifters of some sort.

I remember that conversation left me feeling a little creeped out, lol.

Then again, I feel like ME3 kind of threw that theory out the window in some ways, as a lot of the asari artwork/sculptures resembled the human-ish appearance, if I remember right.

Is your's happy enough to rememdy the shear depressing depressionyness of the recent Razor's Edge chapters? I am not sure such a thing exists.

^ If you haven't started reading or heard about it, I recommend ColossusProblematic's recent fanfic, "Family Doesn't End With Blood" - it's starts after the end of ME1 and quickly goes into ME2, changing some events to focus on a Tali/Shepard relationship (Shepard actually gets to meet Rael'Zorah when he brings Tali back from Freedom's Progress). It's still ongoing, up to Chapter 14 at the moment:

mmmh, I must share this, I read you crying about Tali's death, so I'll give this little argument, so you will have all the new pages you want to outperform the Miranda's topic. I start saying I'm a Talimancer, I was a Liaramancer but I changed my idea because Tali is so cute, and, instead of Liara, she is the first to say " I love you". However, the speech is this: when I saw Tali's suicide... I laughed. I'm not joking, and I'm not a troll, I really laughed, I think because I'm a geth lover, in fact one of my favourite scenes is the one where the quarian fleet dies! Instead when I saw Legion die I screamed "NOOO!".The only reason I like to make peace between Geth and Quarian is for hear Legion say:" I'm sorry" , and Tali, in this decisione matters only a bit. I felt like forced to say this, I don't know why, and even if I tried to be as polite as I can, you have the permission of saying everything you want about me, because I said this on the Tali thread, so it's like I'm looking for problems.

Now, I still love Razor's Edge, and agree that the mucher darker tone the series took with Requiem makes complete sense given the storyline of ME3 ((and I do remain hopefull that after Shepard reaches his lowest point, he will finally be able to rise up and become the Galaxy's savior we know he can be))... but damn if I need to read something happy and/or fluffy after reading each new chapter.

Okay, I may join you guys as a Talimancer.

I've put off importing my Tali romance until now, because I didn't like how late in the game you get her.

I finally did it. Only got Tali on my squad today. Already, she is going leaps and bounds beyond my Liara and Ash romances.

She remembers right from the start that she was your LI. :wub:

I saved all the side missions I could before I got her, so I've only just done the dreadnaught mission a few minutes ago. And Tali already has had a ton of more romance related dialog then my other LIs.

Liara was my canon, but so far I'm liking Tali a lot more.

I've always liked her, but I am amazed at how her romance has played out so far. Many say Liara was favored by BioWare, but when it comes to romance, so far anyway, Tali is way beyond her.
So, if the greatness doesn't stop you guys and gals will have to make room for an extra Tali lover on this topic.

The fluffiness exists.  Bahoogasmif's fic is all about the day to day troubles, rather than "I'm the only one in the galaxy who can save us and am on a course of self-destruction" troubles.  It is a great remedy to sheer depressiness.  Go read for yourself: Chapter 40!
