I just tried sharing my fic on dA as well, and I have to say...FanFiction.net puts it to shame. Much more functional, although I guess that stands to reason.

Also I just noticed that the Mirimancers have put their thread's page count over ours...this injustice cannot stand.

I did this too. To be fair, there's 2 choices in ME1 and there's no way I was going Ashley. When Tali became romancable, that was a whole new ballgame. Plus, Liara bailed on us

I like that quote, and it fits so well!

I chose not to romance anyone in ME 1 on my main playthrough; granted it cut out some dialogue, but it also avoided a few akward situations.  Shepard's face, however, says it all.

Same here. As tempting as it is to romance Liara everytime I play ME1 it just doesn't feel right to dump her for Tali...Simply cuz of the whole being her first ,which seemed pretty important to her at the time heh. I personally find that situation being truly ****ed up even if it's just a game lol. God any Shepard who ended up with Liara in ME1, Tali in ME2, and then dumped them both for someone else is truly an ****.

Hehe. Well I am 19, and so is my shep ... My shep = my story ^^
Atleast in ME1 ! Shep got this thing for very young women it seems. Liara might be 109 but she is young according to the asari still.

I think originally she wasn't 22 though.

And its easy to stop the ninja mances in ME1. Just use the "You're out of line" responce to Ash when it comes up and just tell Liara "no" directly and both will leave you alone and you can still talk with them like normal afterwords.

I just did that with my new main playthrough and did an insanity run. Still missed hitting lvl 60 by like 20k exp. The jumps in exp needed from 55-60 (esp 59-60) is ridiculous.

Doing a new main ME2 run now on insanity. I have died a lot so far from accidently flanking or dumb mistakes.
Too used to ME3 mechanics that don't exist. WTB shield/health gate.

Have to agree with you there, on all accounts (squad-member personal records aren't even kept in ME 1, so you don't know Tali's age until ME 2).  Wasn't aware of the renegade option stopping Ash's ninjamance, so I just didn't talk to her at all.  In fact, I somehow found it hilarious that she still has the same conversation throughout the game if you hadn't talked to her yet; once got ninjamanced right after Virmire when I expected some sort of heart-felt conversation about leaving Kaidan and all I got was "I'm concerned about the aliens," from which the romance was triggered.

And yes, going back to ME 1 and 2 from being used to ME 3 mechanics can be pretty challenging on insane; granted the "out of bounds" kill-boxes in ME 1 were fun to take advantage of as a biotic, but the leveling system was a beast.  Took two full playthroughs to reach level 60, and did it just as I killed the second-to-last geth in the Council Chambers during the end-run. 

For fighting the Collectors on insane, I highly recommend bringing characters who can warp or use warp ammo if your a soldier.  They'll chew you up.  Personally I always brought Tali on my squad so she could use Chiktikka as a distraction, as well the more obvious reasons.

I normally bring Tali and Thane to the collector base, for the drone, energy drain and squad shredder ammo. This time though, I took shredder ammo for myself so I will swap Thane for someone else. Maybe Miranda or Garrus this time.

I actually found insanity in ME1 to be kinda easier than expected. I had all the X armors, Spectre X weapons and as a soldier just spam overkill and immunity, swapping ammo types as needed. Already did an ME3 one and that one didn't seem so bad either.

Imo ME1 insanity wasn't suppose to be hard just hella annoying lol. Krogan regen and biotic stunlocks were a pain in the ass on top of having to shoot things for what felt like 10 minutes. It's the only game in the triolgy that I stopped playing on insanity...Twice was enough and I rather not break my keyboard. ;p

I keep pining after young girls it seems. I remember playing KOTOR, thinking "this mission girl is pretty nice" before finding out she is supposed to be 14.

Damn well doesn't look 14, and whats up with my character bringing a 14 year old on a dangerous mission?

thought due to being dead for two years Shepard is probably closerto 30 years old now.

 Well, I've been going back in this thread for 35 pages now and looking over the discussions, trying to decide on something to say. I can't figure something out though, so I'll just say that it's good to know there are other people who think of Tali the same way that I do, of being an awesome LI and character overall.
