I think you can post images a week after you signed up (but I'm not sure). I have the same problem. I'm just waiting for monday so I can post some screenshots I just made.

Miranda's hardly genetically perfect. Unless she hails from a planet ruled by beaver people.
Yeah I found it really arrogant... using a real actresses face and then claiming she is genetically perfect.
I mean she is hot, but really?

Yeah her "genetically perfect" egotistical crap got my nerves pretty fast.
Also, to me shes not really as attractive as people keep claiming she is. But thats just my opinion.

Her charcter grew on me (a little) after the mission with her sister, but yeah, "I'm genetically perfect! Wah!" I think Bioware could have done a better job than that.Killsteven wrote...

That said, Tali's, ahem, ASSETS are just as good as Miranda's if you ask me.

I heard her keep harping on about being perfect and I was just. "no, you aren't. at all." Then a googled the woman she's based off and was floored at how ****ed that facescanner must have been.

I prefer Tali.

More depth, personality, dynamics in character, and always has your back.

Topic starter: What did you guys think of Tali when you first saw her in ME 2, with or without knowing she could be romanced?

I dunno Tali was kinda boring in ME1. ...
I think she wasn't that significant as she is in the next games. I liked her, but I wasn't impressed.

Lol! Breaking up with Miranda in ME2 is easy. In ME3 on the otherhand good god wtf...I might have expected Tali or Liara acting like that but Miranda? Not so much...BrysonC wrote...
I instantly *liked* Tali, I just didn't start to think about romancing her until the end of my first playthrough, and by then, I had already locked in Miranda as my LI. I was frustrated by that, because I wanted to switch, but am a big softie and couldn't bring myself to 'break up' with Miranda. A virtual character. -__-
When I first played I was actually not a fan of Tali in ME1 or Liara for that matter. I think Ash and Garrus were my favorites and I very muched disliked Kaidan. But now Tali is my absolute favorite in the series. Liara is a close second and Kaidan really grew on me and is now one of my favorites as well. I still like Ash but Garrus is pretty meh to me... Funny how things change after playing all 3 games to death. ;p

In ME 1 it was fun to talk to Tali about the migrant fleet and quarian culture and all that but aside from that she was fairly uninteresting. In ME2 however, thats when she really started to develope her personality we know today.
And because I consider Tali's romance canon if I don't romance her it feels like i'm taking half her character away. The important half of her character.

Thus I liked Tali a lot more in ME2. She had a far greater depth as a character. Stupid recruiting blocks
On a side note, if I ever play through ME3 again, I might do every possible thing to torture Ashley for being a pain about cerberus, though I doubt that I would intentionally have shep shoot any of his crew.

To be honest, and I know this is heresy, Tali was a character that grew on me. I liked Garrus and Wrex more, but then Tali came out on top eventually.
Pre-ME2 I thought Tali was nice, but didn't think much of her. Same with Garrus. I think I liked Wrex the most. I liked Ash until she shot Wrex.
ME2 is where I fell in love with Garrus and Tali as characters.

I think that that has something to do with the way that Biwoare handled their characterization. They really didn't have that much depth in ME1, though Garrus started getting some once you finally got past the "I hate C-sec and rules" conversations with him. They really focused on building character in ME2 which is often the focus of sequals in any series (especially trilogies). It really is a shame that they threw so many at us though, because then we only wind up caring about familiar ones yes? Not that Tali and Garrus were bad options though...
