Meh, maybe it's just because my parents have a decade of age difference between them, but any age difference between Tali and Shepard has never even remotely bothered me.

I don't mind the age difference either. By ME3, Shepard is 30 I believe, even though chronologically he would be 32, and Tali is 25. Five years isn't all that big a gap.

Yeah my parents have a good age difference between them to. 9 or 10 years i believe. But whatever an age gap between Tali and Shep is no big deal. If the Liaramancers can put her and Shep's 48 years aside I think we can handle 5.

^^ Yeah, the age difference is a rather silly reason to not romance her. Which is why I never understand those who use this as their excuse for, well, not romancing her.

I didn't even *think* about the characters' ages until I visited these forums. Some people really over-think things, lol.

Dammit Bryson now my arrow doesn't point to the right person! ;p

Anyway I don't think it's the age difference more so her actual age. Either way doesn't make much sense.

Lol, we've been over this EVERYONE she's old enough. She's a full grown woman now. It's OK :)
I promise.

Yep.  Although the quote did just bring Dead Space 2 to mind; I'd far rather fight against husks with Tali than what's in that game.

bet you any money that the people squeamish about the age difference are about 15, or Americans (nothing against you guys, it's just from my experience with you lot, you generally tend to be incredibly squeamish about stuff)

I'm Chris Hansen with Dateline NBC.

Why don't you take a seat over there.

As long as Tali is over 16, she's legal in my country! ^_^

For the love of god stop!! No one else mentions what the legal age in their country is, we are lowering our proud forum to that point.

From lurking other character threads. I've noticed that the people who seem to see it as a huge problem are usually the ones who have human LI's...

I don't see what there is to be squeamish about a 5 year age difference. You know unless she was 15... But she isn't so yeah I guess you could be right.

We don't even know if quarians view age as we do, right? For all we know, 14 year old quarian women are expected to lock in on a husband. That, or I've missed some very important lore details. xD

Can we...can we move past this topic?

"What does my age have to do with this?

"Nothing, nothing!"

"Damn right."

Random ME scenario:

Tali and Shepard get forced down onto a levo-chirality jungle world by pirates and have to make guerilla raids on them to get the equipment needed to make contact with the Normandy, all while fighting to survive against the local wildlife.  Pirates are turians and have dextro-food stores as well.

What happens?

While Shepard is sleeping, Tali locks and loads her geth plasma shotgun and decimates the turian encampment singlehandedly. Wildlife is too dazzled by her hips to bother her.
