Hence why I will never, every try giving the Admiralty their evidence. I can't do Renegade playthroughs, either, I'm a big softie.
Me too, I would get her exiled before handing it over. Never done either though, its pretty easy to avoid. Renegades get the hilarious ability to just walk away and insult the admirals. Paragons give a nice speech. Anyone without the points can just get Kal and Veetor up on stage (because I always do what Tali asks).
Its interesting see Rael's portryal in fanfics aswell. Sometimes he is the protective father, sometimes the distant mourning father, othertimes he is just an unfeeing ****. For We are the Many should be interesting in the future (need updates plz) since he retconned Rael surviving.

Shepard: I suggest you stop threatening my crewmember, captain.
Kar'Danna: Or what??
Shepard - Or i'll remove my helmet and breathe germs all over your ship.
Kar'Danna: D:
I was literally laughing for a full minute.

^^ While we're on the subject of Tali's loyalty mission, I just completed it myself with my renegade Shepard. I also decided to take Legion along, and in doing so I accidently stumbled upon the best renegade interrupt ever:

Renegade Shepard really can be hilarious sometimes.

I've always wondered, since I've never got far with a renegade playthrough - I presume you have to still choose the 'nice' options with people to romance them? For instance, if I wanted to romance Tali, I would have to choose the 'nice guy' dialogue instead of the 'badass' dialogue? Or can you somehow romance them while still being a complete jackass?

I *did* find it a little jarring when my 100% paragon Shep called that indoctrinated hanar a 'big stupid jellyfish.' I feel like that should have been a renegade interrupt or something.

Yeah my renegades end up 100% renegade, 50% paragon bars since I am nice to teammates. I just make renegade choices.
And seriously how can anyone not hug tali? I'm renegade, not a monster!

Depends on what romance. You can't renegade romance Tali, for example. I believe you can do it for Miranda and Jack, however.
The Miranda one really caught me out; I was conversing with her in order to glean some extra Renegade points. One second they were talking, the next they were in eachothers arms snogging o.0 Thank god there was another conversation after that one so I could break off with her. Really unexpected.
I was considering romancing Jack with this playthrough, but for some reason she's refusing to talk to me. I've done her loyalty mission, and I know that there's still some conversations that I haven't initiated with her yet...but they're not triggering at all. She keeps telling me that we've talked enough, and that i'm just screwing around, etc. Really strange, but w/e.
....and that brings me back to Tali. Despite being Renegade, I'm being irresistably pulled towards her =3 Argh, what to do?? Romancing her wih a Renegade doesn't feel right at all...yet I feel like it's inevitable.

For her, mostly but one renegade option that works is the one where you tease her about blushing under the helmet. But I still feel the paragon option is a better conversation segway into what she says after her immediate reaction.

Resistance is futile.

If you had random sex with Jack I don't think you can have a romance with her.
And for the Tali romance, you could do what I do and recruit Tali last (pretty hard though, as right after Horizon I go straight to Haestrom).

That is exactly it. You need to reject the random sex (hard for many, I know) to be able to properly romance her.Wertom Three wrote...

As a paragon with the occasional renegade option thrown in (punching Han'Gerrel in the stomach felt good), I can't bring myself to go full out and do things like sabatoging the Genophage cure and having to kill Wrex (and Mordin!) over it, or killing off Ash or Kaidan (both, technically). While not many go full renegade, I'm too soft to make those decisions, even in a game. I certainly wouldn't feel comfortable around someone in real life who killed off their supposed friends for diplomacy.
Come to think of it, you have the chance, directly or indirectly, to pretty much kill off your entire crew in the last game. As long as I don't see it on my TV it doesn't happen in my book.

Don't forget Khalisa al-Jilani - I enjoyed punching her in the face in all 3 games!

Didn't really see the appeal of a renegade Shep.
Well, my canon Shep is a full Paragon, but that's just me. Unlike other games with a morality system or something where you are either the biggest boyscout by-the-book goodie or the most needlessly pricklish evil bastard ever, I find the Renegade Shepard more reasonable. Not really a bad guy, but the Jack-Bauer-whatever-it-takes approach to things is understandable for someone in that situation.
