You should have seen some of the debates on the morality of control or destroy in the... loyalty mission for legion (I know it wasn't control, but still, I couldn't resist). They lasted for ages and bordered on flame wars. But back on topic, I agree that the dialogue with Garrus is at the very least uneeded when there is already so little with shepard himself (compared to the other squadies). Found it frustrating myself. And yes I too put him in his place with sniping.

Yeah, I had to end the spider topic... Its bad enough they exist in the real world...

And yea, I think its better to beat him, ya know, "Tali is mine, back off.". And if he doesn't, I time travel and leave him on the Citadel.

Though which part bothers you guys exactly? I'm trying to remember but failing. I think the convo I get is different cuz I never recruited him in ME1.

It's almost to bad you cant have a confrontation in ME2 were Garrus tries to make a move on her and you walk in.

Mmm I know of the convo but like I said mine is a bit different or maybe I just never noticed any flirting...Only Tali teasing him about being stuck on the Citadel while she fought a krogan battlemaster.

I'll have to check when I play my femshep on the weekend since she's in love with Garrus and actually recruited him in all 3 games hehe.

I have never really seen the problem with those conversations...they are somewhat different when Tali is romanced from when she is not....alot less flirting is invovled and more "close-friend" teasing when Tali (or Garrus for that matter) are already spoken for.

Not sure whats so bad with them, the altered conversations make perfect sense to me...since Garrus is my Shepard's bro and before ME3 I already headcanoned that he is also very good friends with Tali (the three were all best friends, until the Shep/Tali relationship got upgraded to boyfriend/girlfriend). Plus I love the final conversation on the Normandy when Tali is romanced...Shepard gets to say team Dextro what I have always wanted.

I don't like how Garrus is more flirty with Tali than Shepard is half the time. I'm always walking in on them two talking and to me Shepard feels like a 3rd wheel. If Garrus wasn't such a bro in everything else I'd want Shepard to kick his ass.

But yeah I've done it differently with the sniping thing, once let Garrus win the other Shepard showed him how it's done.

That said, I will never, ever watch THAT scene of a Tali/Garrus romance.... you know which one I'm talking about.

Garrus and Tali don't really get into the flirtyness if one of them is already shacked up with Shepard. Although Garrus does have a few lines where I always think about how he needs to watch his mouth.
Anyway its good to know i'm not alone in shooting Garrus bottles. Tali is Shepard's girlfriend and Shepard is the better sniper. Its important for Garrus to learn that he's the sidekick here.

Does no one here ever actually flirt? That quasi antagonist needling is grade school level flirting. 

Admitedly in ME1 Garrus just gets off on the wrong foot with some of his elevator dialogue, but everything after that is pretty much bantery, friendly dialogue. Flirting isn't just saying 'hey there sexy'. I found the dialogue cute in the fact that Garrus was (just as he is in the femshep romance) completely awkward and misses the 'signs'.

Yeah, even Patrick Weekes said the idea for it spurred from the easter egg Citadel stair dialogue back in ME2.

I think he even related it to how he and his own wife or some friends got together because they started out by heckling the crap out of each other which happened to end up leading to more. It does happen.

For all of Garrus's supposed being a ladies man, its awesome how dense he really is like the turian chocolate bit from Dr. Michel.
