It even reveals why they look the way they do.

I don't know if we're allowed to discuss spoilers here, but... SPOILERS.

I spoiled the story details for myself (I always do, bad habit, never impacts my enjoyment anyway), so I read that the Reapers are supposedly made in Harbinger's image. That doesn't make sense to me, though -- why were they building a human Reaper, then? Smacks of narrative inconsistency.

The "inside" of the capital ship class reaper is based on the race harvested...the outside is  based on Harbinger. I won't say more beyond that for people who didn't play it yet.

Aha. Clever, BioWare. Very clever.

Thank you for explaining that.

I just have to figure out what squadie combination is needed on the final Leviathan mission for Tali to be the one to run up and help Shepard.... took her and Javik with me, but Javik was the one to run up and save him while Tali was providing cover-fire. (so wanted to see Tali do that instead :pinched: )

Tali was the one to run out on my playthrough. Other squadmate was EDI. Hope that helps.

Hmm, for some reason I sorta figured that if you brought EDI then Tali would be the one to run up and help Shepard, but good to have confirmation on it, thanks.

Off to replay Leviathan again and find more secret stuff, like some of those new weapon mods that I missed last night. :P

Tali said "Never do that to me again" in Leviathan. Funny thing, that is. I'm going to do exactly that several times over, and at the end of it all she's going to punch my shepard in the face.

The dialogue and gameplay was generally pretty good. The story, as I've come to expect from Bioware, is basically a fortune cookie full of plot holes.

Leviathan(s) have a pulse weapon that drops a Reaper in *one shot*. How did they lose this war again?

They can influence and control minds without causing permanent damage or lose of ability. So, basically everything indoctrination does but without the downsides. Why couldn't they just prepare the other races thousands of years early?

In a billion freaking years, this is the first time someone ever found hints of them? And the first time the Reapers ever figured out they screwed up the first time?

I like the idea. I'd always intended to use something similar in the fic I'm doing and likely will use some of the DLC structure. But too much of the final dialogue was just BW trying to justify their demand that people choose the Synthesis ending.

I didn't really see that interpretation, to be honest. I don't think it was trying to promote or invalidate anything, except that it may be forshadowing a new enemy in the future.

Agreed. Besides, let the Leviathans try to take over the Galaxy after the drestroy ending. We already beat the giant robot cuttlefish, I some sure we can beat some reular oversized cuttlefish.

...that and this DLC may or may not have given me a idea for a future plotline for my fanfic...if I ever decide to write a sequel.

It was the impression I got from Leviathan's dialogue. 'Still searching for the solution', the implications of Shepard being unique, Leviathan constantly pointing out how powerful and superior it was (the implied threat that they can do whatever they want to the 'lesser' races), etc.

The full auto effect is fun. Send something with the Claymore. Big boom.

OK, I just finished the DLC and it was really good. Great amount of action with a bit of investigation. I loved those interactions in a lab on Citadel, finally something that doesn't involve shooting. I went with team dextro through all 3 missions and I think Tali has a good amount of dialogs.
But I still don't know if I like more this or the Shadow Broker DLC.

And that husk head is awesome, but I don't know if I want it in my cabin.:? I wish I could give it to James.

And one more thing. Tali with Avenger?? Come on Bioware, make those cutscenes properly.

Edit: TOPT
Found this drawing, I think the best one ever.

Tali is going to become even more famous for that full auto shooting during this extraction.

Just like the her romance scenes.  2 mins of Side boob and booty for everyone else, but 20 seconds on almost nothing for her.  I dont care to see shepard thrusting like the scene with liara, but still.  not even a scene without her mask.... Unfortunately, tali is definately the underdog of LI.

I agree with the last romance scene before Cerberus HQ.

But, I must disagree about her being the underdog of LIs.

I just imported Tali's romance a few weeks ago. Made some posts on here, but I have no idea where they are now.

I noted that you guys would have to make room for a new Talimancer as I was so impressed by her romance in ME 3.

Liara was my former canon, and I still like her and Ash, as well. So please don't take these comments as dissing either of them. I've replayed my Ash and Liara romances more than Tali, as I waited till last for her because I was disappointed in how late she joins Shep in the game.

But, Liara was constantly friend-zoning you, even with the LotSB DLC played. Whereas Ash basically calls you a traitor and a husk of all things, then points a gun at you.

Tali, from the very first meeting in ME 3 acknowledges your romance and makes it clear she wants to go forward with it. No friend-zoning from Tali at all and no accusations, though she had more reasons to despise Cerberus than most.

Absolutely loved her comments to your ME 1 LI, if you had one, on the dreadnought mission. And she seemed, to me, to have far more flirting with Shep during many missions then the others.

So, I think Tali comes out on top in the LI tree, overall. Just the "sex" scene itself was lacking.

Also, I'm one of the few who really liked the pic of her they used. Just wish they had, or would, render it ingame.

Yeah, I also have to disagree about Tali being the 'underdog' love interest. I think she's easily the most well-developed and well-written in the games. Some visual fan service for characters like Liara or Ashley can't make up for unsatisfying writing.

Yep. Besides the "I'm still that guy" discussion with Ash on Mars, found her romance very annoying and unsatisfying. Liara had a nice romance scene, and was nice to see her sitting in shepards lap for romance dialogue - but as always her dialogue was uninteresting.

Shepard is unique because he can do whatever the hell he wants.

And he's got a quarian with a full auto claymore, with rain.

Tali has the best LI dialogue on Cronos station. PERIOD.

Actually, she has the best dialogue overall...

Does Tali have more dialogue at the different terminals in Cronos? There was the one the shepard encounters, and then there were like 3 or 4 more, but she didn't say anything.

Also, as a side note to anyone that cares...

Desktop is coming in today, and my laptop should be fixed today as well.

So I should be able to start writing my next chapter either later tonight or tomorrow. Can I get a hip hip hurrah?

Just the one where Shepard questions if he is really himself. I'd say having one of the better bw writers for all three games helped her dialogue and progression a lot and it shows. Plus her awesome VA.

I appreciated that internal conflict showing up, but it was long overdue...I'd expected to see it touched on in Mass Effect 2, but it never was. Shepard accepted the fact he'd been brought back to life by a terrorist organization a little too easily for my liking.
