Hey, guys and gals. I was just thinking, and I apologize if it has been asked before, and it probably has.

But, I'll give it a shot anyway. What was the first line of dialog that got you interested in Tali as a LI for Shep?

I never really looked at her that way until, in her loyalty mission in ME 2. At the end my Shep said something like,

"Tali...about your father...you deserved better."

Tali replied, "I got better Shepard...I got you."

I was totally floored by that line. Probably due to the VA's delivery of that line. It really brought a tear to my eyes. It was just so sweet and heartfelt.

So, what was your first moment?

If it has been asked before just point me to the page, or topic.

Hmm don't get me wrong that is a great line the delivery of it was awesome and sweet. The way it was used tho was I dunno kinda off putting for me if I was gonna romance her... I'm probably alone in that and interpreting it differently then everyone else heh. Personally I liked this line better.

Tali: "It's strange after I walk out of here I don't know where i'm going..."
Shepard: "Where ever we end up i'll be with you Tali'Zorah Vas Normandy."

I like the smartass humor a lot of the renegade lines give and I still think maleshep sounds like big pansey as a full paragon... I guess what Jack says to him on her recruitment mission is quite fitting... *runs*  ;p

Her first words on Freedoms Progress. Her voice and her legs... going to play ME2 again.

Good thing I'm 75% Paragon and 25% Renegade... :)

I'm always 100% paragon, but I still prefer BroShep's voice acting over FemShep's. Like Bahoogasmif said, there's just something about Hale's voice acting that grates on me.

As for when I got interested in Tali as an LI, it was during the mission where you pick her up on Haelstrom. I already thought she was a cool character during Freedom's Progress (bear in mind I started the series with ME2, on PS3), but her voice acting and personality really started to appeal to me on Haelstrom.

I don't think there was a specific dialog that would made me like her right after I heard it, but I remember a dialog on Haestrom. It was one of her recordings and she said something like "I wish Shepard were here". And immediately after I heard that, I wanted to give her a hug.^_^

Oh yes, that was another great line, and I felt the same.

No need to run.

That is a great line, too. And I've never heard it as I always play a paragon male Shep, so Thanks for the info.

I don't even recognize tali's line there. It's not from being exiled is it?

The 'you deserved better' bit? No, it's not from being exiled. My paragon Shep didn't get her exiled and heard that. You must have just chosen a conversational option that didn't lead to it.

The "I got better" line I get when I go with the charm path when asked if there is any evidence. I believe the bottom selection in the wheel when she thanks you for your defense is where you hear it.

I think the difference between Shepards are that Mark Meer portrays Male Shepard more as a consumnate professional, being a soldier first and foremost during missions and focused on the task at hand. When he does break out the snark, it tends to be usually more in lulls in the action or during idle conversations.

Jennifer Hale as FemShep on the other hand, I find to be more emotive and snarky overall. She's a career soldier, sure, but she clearly enjoys what she does and uses her sense of humour to get through the worse of situations. She's slightly less professional than Male Shepard, but she seems to display a much closer connection to the people under her wing.

Overall, Male Shepard is like an aloof older brother, while FemShep is more of a cool older sister type figure.

Regarding Tali, it was definitely those journal entries on Haestrom that made me want to romance her. If they were written in a notebook, you know that it'd be covered in doodles of hearts and "Tali + Shepard" from cover to cover.

I think the dialogue between Tali and Shepard after he casually mowed through an army of Geth in order to rescue her, was definitely the moment that I knew those two had to end up together.

Tali: And what are you doing here, Shepard? We are in the middle of Geth space?!
Shepard: I was in the neighbourhood... thought you might need a hand?

That's basically Paragade i'm pretty much reversed. But I approve! Not that you needed my approval... ;p

@amxstyle if you were talking about the line I posted yes it is from her being exiled.

I'd be more willing to do a playthrough with Tali exiled if it didn't jepordize the peace process in ME3. At least, I believe it does. Correct me if i'm wrong.

Tali exiled makes peace harder to get, but not impossible.

Basically, to get peace you have to get a atleast 5/7 possible "points" granted by various decisions in ME2 and ME3

Tali not exiled: 2 points

Heretic Geth Destroyed: 2 points

Tali and Legion Loyalty conflic resolved: 1 point

Save Admiral Koris: 1 point

Complete geth consensus mission: 1 point.

It's possible to still get peace. Do everything you would do normally with her not being exiled but destroy the geth heretics instead of rewrite.

What, the hate is fun to read if you want a good laugh. Some of the thing they say are so dumb they are hilarious.

As I said, I did, then it got old.

The last straw for me was the Extended Cut doc by clever noob. Sooo much fail in one video, not to mention the pathetic ad hominem around 1:19:00 to anyone that likes the extended cut.

Back on topic...

What music you think Tali listens to? Most likely been asked before.

I think she would like the music in Shep's cabin in ME3, don't know what genre to call it... :pinched:

I seem to recall her liking the music in Flux in ME 1.  Don't know what to call it, smooth techno or something.

lol yea gotta admit it was like driving the mako. Fun for about 10 minutes then its just like OMFG stop being so terrible.

Hmm I think Tali would probably like classical music but then again she would probably like anything Shepard likes.

Yeah I forgot the quote, but it has to do with action, music, and dancing.

I see quarians in general as having a very strong fondness for music - and I think Tali probably goes more for dance beats. I think the dance gifs posted have made me think that, so I don't know how canon it is.

Tali liked the music in Flux, which was basically just that.
