^^ Agreed. Exelsis' tastes are a little, ah, odd =3
In regards to the photo, I've been thinking that perhaps it was a good thing that Tali's face wasn't rendered into the game engine. I know that we wish it had been, and that they should have put more effort into it...but look at it this way.
Miranda's face is modelled on her voice actress, Yvonne Stravoski, who just happens to look rather stunning. Yet Miranda herself? It could have been worse, but...well, it could have been a lot better. I can't put my finger on it, but she looks a little...uncanny. She does look a little better in ME3, but still. I would hardly describe her as beautiful.
Then there's Diana Allers, and we all know how much of a botched job that turned out. PSP licker or not, Chobot IS rather pretty, yet Allers looks like she's been melted by a wax candle. I really don't understand what went wrong there. Scanner malfunction? Game engine limitations? I don't know.
Then again, Samara (who I believe was based on a real woman) looks fantastic, as does (and please don't shoot me) Liara. Mmph, I don't know. I still want to see Tali's face rendered into the game, but I somewhat dread to think what BioWare would do to her.
