It's kind of odd considering that i've played both Oblivion and Skyrim and loved them, so i'd probably enjoy Fallout as well. I really should pick them up at some point.

Fallout New Vegas is, in my opinion, on the same tier of RPG goodness as Mass Effect...except with a lot more meaningful choice.

And with a frillion more bugs. Also the Wild Card ending kind of pissed me off.

EDIT: And btw when I said Ave Tali I kind of ment for that to be a reference to the chants AVE CAESAR or AVE ROMA that were famous among Roman soldiers, not a fallout reference.

Personally I preferred Fallout 3 over New Vegas.  Felt that the atmosphere was a lot more true to post-apocalyptic in F3, and I far preferred GNR's music.  Granted, while the gun mechanics/aiming and survival modes were more fun in New Vegas, there were indeed a frillion bugs.

The writing was indeed better, but on a console the bugs were a lot worse.  Bad textures, VATS issues that would make enemies "bounce" into the stratosphere, and the infamous spinning head glitch to name a few.  Sometimes hilarious, but often annoying.

Love or no, I'll review you chapter shortly.  And here's chapter 2 of my own fic, for those who missed it.

Tali having a quman baby?  I think that we might have talked about it before, but if it was possible, I'd like to think their daughter would look like Tali with Shepard's eyes or son like Shepard with Tali's eyes.  Interesting to think about, but it could get disturbing fast if you think about it too much.

To be honest the thought of my Sheps knocking up their love interests is the only thing that keeps me from wanting to kick some butt over the lack of closure and limited roles.....
Months later and it still stings <_<

Yeah, I know the feeling.  One of the ways that people are coping with the lack of closure is through writing or art, put some creativity to use.  There's a lot of good ones floating around, although if reading/writing aren't your thing, you might feel that sting for a while.

Personally I headcanon that Shepard and Tali end up living together in that house they built on Rannoch, after a conventional and hard-fought win against the Reapers with the galaxy united against them and having the rachni swarm in full strength.  Then they have drinks with Garrus on a beach, living off the royalties from the vids and live with their children (adopted or otherwise) happily ever after.  With Mordin running tests on the seashells.

Perfect ending!

With any of the Fallout games that have been released this generation, the first rule is: Have at least 5 Saves. Not only for the glitches but also the branching storylines once you hit New Vegas city. I'm glad I saved when I first entered, as I'd done a anti-clockwise tour around the world map, doing all the side quests and locations inbetween, and NV city was the last stop for me. Saving there allowed me to reload from the first save to go for all the different endings.

Beautiful picture. I'd never thought about using a Chiktikka for farming. Great idea.

As for Fallout, my favourite one is New Vegas. I must be very lucky, because I never got any bugs in these games. The same with Skyrim. And I played that right after it was released.
