Why are people so for TalixFemshep. I legitmatly am happy becasue they didn't add that romance. I see Tali as being straight as a pencil with no change to come. I'm not saying femshep may not have feelings, but I don't think Tali does for her.

I gotta agree with you there.  I think some people push it just because it's not an option.  I'm glad they didn't make her bi in ME3; for me it would have "cheapened" her character and made her less realistic.  For a game like Skyrim it works to have everyone bi, but not Mass Effect where the characters are much more developed. 

Yeah cause being bi/gay/coming out automatically cheapens who someone is right.

With Tali, I think it does. Some characters are just that way. If Barney in how I met your mother became gay, it would ruin his womanizing character. Neil P atrick Harris is gay, but not Barney. And Tali is the same way. She is not written to be gay, and I think it cheapen her character. I'm not against gay, I think Kaidan is gay and I still save him against Ms.Chik-fi-lay( GET IT?) By the way, I support Chick-fi-lay, they have the right to free speach.

Ugh I'm just not going to bother fighting and debating this.

I'll just point out one fact, just like how you and other Talimancers mostly fell for Tali for whats on the inside, so does Tali and the rest of the Quarian race.

Are you forgetting that most Quarians including Tali don't show themselves to someone they are very close to? So Quarians/Tali learn to love and care for whats on the inside, thus making gender and appearence irrelvant.

So no, if Tali went gay or bi, it would never of cheapened her character. Infact it would of highlighted her loving and caring nature.

Tread lightly, my friend.  We don't want to involve politics or other more sensitive subject areas here, unless your spoiling for an internet fight.

From my understanding, someone canonizing a Tali/Femshep relationship and another canonizing a Tali/Maleshep relationship is perfectly fine, as it's all opinion based.

It doesn't necessarily mean that I don't have a preference, obviously.  But it's all love for the character... as long as it doesn't suddenly take a turn for the worse.


EDIT: Also, Tali nar Shephard, Terror has what's written in his sig for a reason...

Damn, i'm sorry to hear that. Cancer's a ****. I've lost one family member to it already and two others (my nan and my uncle) have it as well. I often wonder if we'll ever find a cure for it. =/

At least Tali would never get cancer. If there's one good thing about the Quarian immune system, it's that they don't have to deal with such awful diseases.

While I must say that cancer does indeed suck balls, and is probably going to kill half the people in this thread, cancer being a problem is kind of a sign of a good thing. Humans are living so far beyond their normal lifespans that our very cells are going our of control and killing us. It's a step up from 'heart can't handle 60 years'.

Kind of a mixed bag for me though. Half my family from my dad's side all died from cancer before they were 40, usually from pancreatic. But none of the rest ever had it.

Sadly, though, quarians would also suffer from cancer(unless a far more effective treatment is devised). The immune system has nothing to do with causing cancer, but actually eliminates cancer before it becomes a problem.

 

One of the reasons humans can live to be 150 (well, living to 150 is like living to 100 now, so is more like a 50% increase in overall livespan.)  in the ME universe (besides the gene therapy everyone gets as a infant and advanced diatery suplements to improve overall health) is the fact that cancer is easily cureable now.

... incedentely, it is also mentioned that this is the reason why TIM smokes like a dozen cigerettes a day and drinks alchol all the time... the risk of lung cancer and liver failure is now completely gone.

Found this cute lil story

Kal’Reegar let himself into the small apartment, shutting the door carefully behind him. It was late, and he didn’t want to wake Tali, if she’d already gone to bed. He pulled away his mask and breathed in the crisp, filtered air of the room. The Geth had installed the best technology available to make the transition from biosuit to open air as swift and easy as possible. He felt the air fill up his chest and come back out again, and he smiled.

“Kal?” Tali’s tiny voice called from the other side of the wall.

“Tali?” he peered around the doorway, a smile on his mouth. Her eyes glowed a brilliant white as her expression mirrored his.

“You’re home awfully late,” she commented, putting the book she was reading down in her lap. “Busy day?”

“Yes,” he groaned, walking over to meet her. “I’m exhausted.”

“Come, lay with me,” she commanded with a smirk. He obeyed, taking the small space on the couch where she had moved over so he could sit. The weight of the day started to wash over him. He felt the hours and hours of sweat and dust starting to catch up to his muscles. He’d been used to combat, not construction. Not that he was complaining—he was building Tali the house he’d promised her. The house that’d got him through the darkest hours of the Reaper War.

He moved down the couch and his arms found her slim waist, snaking up around her midsection. He rested his head on her stomach, almost like a child. She laughed.

“Mmm, I guess I underestimated the length of the day, then?” she sighed. “Do you need anything?”

“Besides you?” he chuckled at his own unoriginal wordplay. She rolled her eyes, but kept her smile. “No.”

“Well, I suppose I could provide for that, then,” she sighed, smoothing a hand over the back of his helmet. He grit his teeth and pulled his arms tighter around her waist. He put kiss after kiss up from her abdomen to her chest. She tried to push him away, laughing and muttering his name.

“Keelah, you’ve got the energy for this?” she said breathlessly. He nodded with a stern nod.

“Yes ma’am. If that’s alright with you, of course.”

“It depends. Who’s giving the orders here, soldier?” she smirked, pulling him up by the chin. She parted her lips and his mouth fit easily over hers.

“You. It’s always been you.” He moved down over her neck as his hands met the zipper on the back of her suit. She shivered at the touch.

“I love you, Kal’Reegar,” she whispered.

“I love you, Tali’Zorah vas Rannoch,” he replied, holding her close.

Broshep doesn't exist in my playthroughs. He ain't canon, Shep is whoever you want him or her to be, to an extent.

The whole point of an RPG is to make a customized character, with you making the decisions and playing the game.  There is no canon for the game other than the known facts presented in the game (Shepard's age and species, Saren tried to take over the Citadel, etc.).

If there was a canon for the character and everyone chose it, the game wouldn't be so interesting to people, now, would it?
