What does it say about your thread if you can't handle talking about s/s relationships involving them? We'll talk about every part of the character except this one thing?Edit: As people clearly still choose not to listen...

1.- She dies in Haestrom. Shepard didn't save her, so the Geth killed all the quarians in that mision and the migrant fleet never knows what is happening with Dholen.
2.- She success by herself, and survives her mision. I really want this to happen, so she won't be a damsel in distress anymore. This could bring a maturity to her character, Showing us that she doesn't need Shepard or his father to be someone to be respected.
3.- Forced canon recruitment, just like Liara's forced close friendship.

This is a thread to discuss such Tali related things as third toes, boot knives, talking too much and swirly patterns, not for unrelated debates.

But why didn't she initiate a relationship concurrently? From what I've there isn't any kind of stigma attached to homosexuality in this futuristic universe, and I doubt Bioware would make it that much more difficult for themselves after having been provided a neglected opportunity for f/f in both ME1&2.Nashiktal wrote...
In any case Tali has the exact same dialogue with female shep as male, the only thing missing is initiative from femshep. I would be glad to see her bisexual, would mean I would actually have a reason to play as a femshep.
Ultimately I just don't buy into the idea; or at least not easily. After the addition of a romantic relationship in ME2, I doubt I can accept the compounding of another sexual orientation without cringing. Just looking at this proposal from the broad, development centred angle it doesn't roll with me. Of course I'll admit I have rather more individual reasons as a male gamer; relatively Tali's subplot was arguably most congruent with the more traditional Shakespearean progression (embracing femininity without overt sexualisation) which I find endearing.
Oh and I certainly don't hold with "coming out of the closet" nonsense in sci-fi epics. That's just getting silly.

Its already been established that quarians do have relationships with other races. Besides, if you know anything about immunology, you would know that the risk factor really isnt that bad.Abispa wrote...

Me too, it just seems to be a bad rectcon, or all of a sudden every past character suddenly turns bi. It's a cheap blow to character development as well. I don't want this to turn into anohter Crappy DA II character development debacle.
Like how Tali falls in love with Shepard even if he spends ME1 treating her like garbage? Or Bioware spending hours of dialogue establishing how fragile the Quarian immunity system is but then introduce some magic Mordin sex gel that allows Tali to have sex with Shepard (which probably wouldn't impregnate her and COULD kill her, thus robbing the Quarians of a potential mother either way)? If a person wants to romance Tali as a male or a female in THEIR game, and Bioware provides the option, it has no effect on me in mine. I was still able to have Shepard say, "You'll get sick" and continue with their non-romantic relationship. If someone has a lesbain affair with her in ME3 it won't effect how you interact with her in your own games.
And in Tali's case, being "bi" wouldn't be much of a "retcon" considering the Shadow Broker files on her in LotSB.
And about the Shadow Broker files... you are assuming it is for shepard even though it is never confirmed that it is. In reality it is probably just intended for male Shepard but Bioware forgot and kept it for femshep as well. Until Tali actually says the way she feels about femshep, its all speculation. Due to this, theres no reason to discuss it.

I would prefer #2 to happen if you didn't recruit her. However, I can't imagine why anyone wouldn't recruit her since she has the shield upgrades you need for your ship. Unless you plan on finishing the game with ten remiaing squadmates instead of twelve.Skullheart wrote...
Hey guys, Im starting a new playthrough and I wanna now something: What would happen to Tali if I don't recruit her? I've come to three possibilities.

I don't see Tali solo'ing a platoon of geth troopers and a regenerating Geth Colossus on foot with an ME2 shotgun...(if she had her ME1 shields and shotgun, she'd totally be able to do it)

I was half kidding lol
I still don't see her making it out unless she gets backup from the Flotilla, though...
or unless she happens to have a LOT of food and clean water stashed in that room she was in somehow...she could probably wait it out then...
but yea, I don't see Tali making it out if trained marines get owned so quickly...

Well anyway i guess im gonna bring back my response from like age 260 somethin anyay i think that it would be possible for a human/Quarian hybrid because if you look at ancient egypt's old pharoahs the first ones they looked different that average people with the head/bone configuration yet as we move down on the lines of pharoahs you see that the head/bone configuration starts to loojk different and more human and theres also a documentary on it so this is what it basically says is that the first pharoahs were aliens then the second pharoah was a human/alien hybrid and as it moves down the line the hybrids just keep looking more and more human till you have a human/alien hybrid that is mostly human (sorry for bringing this back up) but anyway so i say that Tali is a candidate for becoming pregnant in ME3.

Lets start with finding out what are Quarians exacly and how they look.
What if they are just gas beeings that die when diffused in the air released from their suits ;p (like the german doc from Hellboy)
#7023
Posté 15 octobre 2011 - 09:34
and then they wouldn't be complaining about being in their suits all the time since that would be the only way they could interact with the world

Why is it that nobody thinks Tali's eyes will be luminescent silver? At least, seems most don't.

as an alternative idea on how quarian eyes should look, I think they should be more...nebula looking......dunno if that makes sense
like imagine looking into Tali's eyes and basically seeing something like this (although not exactly..):

it's hard to describe without actually showing you the image I have in my head....
I wish I was good with digital art programs....
