1. You ARE a troll and that post proves it.
2. I act like that towards everyone. You are not a unique case.
3. I look like a fool for saying something completely true? This is thread for discussing Tali. No matter how `pointless` the discussion may be, as long as it is on topic, we are allowed to discuss it. If you dont like it, ignore it maybe? Makes sense to me.

1. Ah. I see.  I'm a troll because I'd like to see the standard around here be a bit higher than it usually is.  Okay, have it your way.  I'm a troll.

2. So, you're a professional d!ckhead.  Understood.

3.  Since you are Tali's Personal Bulldog, and What You Say Is Gospel, I shall abide by your rules.

Im glad you see reason.

quole stop being such a d***head, I agree with jake the thread needs quality conversation not asinine ocurrences, his observation is valid you dont need to get all defensive and call him a troll

Feel free to start some qulaity conversations then. I think you will find we have already burned through all the theories and speculation. Without any more information to work off of, all we have is the old theories we have alrady discussed to death, and some of said theories go down the "crazy" path jake seems to want to avoid. Apparently we can't even have a light hearted discussions.

Jake did indeed bring some good discussion, but he didn't have the patience to back it up. The tali thread is home to ALL the tali fans, some fanatical in their crazyness, others wary about trolls. If you have spent any time in this thread you would know how many trolls that come in here to mess with people in the thread. All that trolling has unfortunately reinforced an "us vs them" mentality that is hard to shake in this thread. It didn't help that jake was mostly talking about how creepy tali fans are, instead of actually talking about Tali. (Rereading his posts its mostly analyzing why liking tali is creepy, another hot button with tali fans)

It doesn't help that he is being aggresive toward those that are not even against him. All I posted, in response to seeing the tali car, was "What car would tali be?" following tradition. Then suddenly  he attacks my post, (i'll admit it ws silly, but that was the point) calls it some sort of bandwagon and then proceeds to make that lovely gem you can see quoted at the top of the page.

Can fun not coexist with serious? Especially when all the serious discussions can't continue without either rehashing old theories, waiting for more info, or discussing "those crazy tali fans"?

I can agree some people were pretty aggresive toward jake, but does that excuse trolling? I don't think the mods will agree.

Well I feel silly, I completely missed Javier's post. I am proabably going to edit my post in a second to reflect that, but I have to say I am starting to feel like character threads are not healthy for the community as a whole. It just seems to breed mistrust and flamewars.

You know what lets start over eh? I am going to try to start a topic for Tali... and it will not be explicitely positive. While I think we have exhausted most theories I can agree we need to get some serious topics in here that doesn't involve sexuality or hybrids.

Lets start with a comparison topic. In this topic lets try to compare Tali to another squademate and see what connections we can find.

For example... Ashley Williams. Tali and Ashley are surprisingly similar. Both inheritied their military background from their families, both characters are tough and stubborn survivors and the most surprising similarity of all is their fathers. Both are dead, and disgraced in the midst of doing what they think is right for their people.

I would dare say that if you were to describe tali and ashley to someone who has never played the game, I would think they would sound very similar with just a few key differences.

I've always figured it's due to devs saving time and memory for other aspects of the game. Just changing colors of suits for different npc's may just be easier. Also I agree. This is Tali's house, any fan should feel free to post anything about Tali they wish, as long as the thread rules are followed. No matter how juvenile or silly the post is. Just have fun people.

Nice ideas! Personally, I have never thought of Tali and Ashley as similar, but in your description, you do point out common ground between them. What is interesting, is that even with similar backgrounds, you may expect them to have developed into similar people. But I personally see them as completely different. However, if I try to 'quantify' this, I do find it tricky. Maybe it is their physical attributes that make all the difference? Try this thought....imagine Ashly with Tali's voice and body, and then playing Ashleys scenes from ME1. I don't see anything that would make the scenes seem incompatible. But one thing does stand out. I think Ashley's strong 'faith' is one identifying characteristic that differentiates her from Tali. With the Quarian's being a more technologically advanced society, and the fact that they have created their own conscious 'life' (in the form of Geth), has probably changed their viewpoint on life and faith.

So, what do you all think of Quarians' fingers as far as nails go? Nails? No nails? Claws (slight mansquee)?

I'm guessing nails. I think any species that has evolved to a degree where they can manipulate objects and tools will have found that nails are an advantage (imagine what it would be like without your nails. The tips of your fingers will be bending backwards all the time, which would get painful pretty quickly).

Retractable claws might be interesting! Knowing how much time Quarians spend in front of a computer, their claws are probably chewed to pieces. Being able to retract and hide them from view would be useful (I bet 'manicures' are a major industry aboard the Flotilla!)

First there's support for claws & canines, and now retractable claws? Makes my day. To Survive had it great IMO.

Oh, and I read the first fic that mentioned Tali with quills a week or so ago. Firmly cemented the wistful thought in my mind.

Hello again everybody, I need a quick question answered for a piece I'm doing. Do we have any undeniable, incontestable, knowledge of what color Quarian blood is?

Pretty sure it's red. I *think* that in-game, Krogan blood is orange, Asari blood is purple, Human/Quarian blood is red, and... Yeah, that's all I can think of. Salarian may be green...?

It's red. When Tali's squad is gunned down in the last part of Freedom's Progress, the puddles surrounding their bodies are red.

There was a reference to quarian blood in Ascension, although it didn't specify what colour it was. Actually, it was a really heart breaking moment in the book, but it verified that quarians had eyes (and eyelids,) teeth, nose, mouth and 'what was the equivalent for ears.' So I don't think they have humanoid ears.

Also, I am always up for a good discussion, but Jake was trolling the fanbase, and I hate it when stereotypes are made against various fanbases.

And the question of just how much adorkability can be placed into one image before it explodes has at last been answered.

Basically, every time I replay ME2 I end up with Tali even when I try to go after other romances (one exception, continuing Liara romance from ME1) because she is just so endearing. What I really want out of Mass Effect 3, in regards to Tali, is to be able to continue the romance and build her a home on Rannoch.

i'd like to believe that she matures a bit more and come to realize shep's words that home is where your heart is, not some arbitrary structure on a planet. And end up riding off into the blue aboard the normandy, just the two of them.

<<acording to Zecharia Sytchin Annunaki theory>>

We cant have babies with apes becouse our DNA's differ much much more than Monkeys and Dogs for an example.

Maping of Human genes prowed that Humans alone poses a huge number of genes thet do not exist  anywere in earths biology, if I am correct followers of that theory claim that even early humanoid apes like Australopithecus lack this genes. Sytchin belives thouse are the genes of Annunaki who uplifted Humans by combining their own  genes with thouse of Hominids.

Thats why we could have (and in fact had) children with "the Gods" Annunaki and not with Apes.

As far fetched as it is it is some "scientific" explaination ;)

Extending that on ME universe - if we replace Annunaki with the Protheans it is possible they conducted similar practices on all species of the ME universe - If they altered Human and Quarian genom allright - then the Qumans might in fact be somewhat possible :D.

The entire "Annunaki" thing is a load of nonsense based more on late-1800s bull$#!+ than any real science.

There's no way that a human and a Quarian could have a child by any sort of natural or current-day medical means.  The closest you could do is genetically engineer a set of genes from the mother's species to match the genetic qualities of the father, and start from there.

The opposed chirality alone makes any natural, or simple artificial, breeding impossible.

The vast majority of people realize that any hybrids would be impossible. Those who continue to cling to that hope have allready had it explained to them why it is impossible... several times... At this point I think that Scourgeking might just be posting these things to get a rise out of people, or he is just choosing to be willfully ignorant.

I wouldn't call that a confimation just yet, there has been blood mix ups all throughout both ME games. I have seen asari bleed red, turians bleed green and a few humans bleed purple.

There is no LORE explenation. Which leads to the fact that the reason Tali's suit is different is for developement reasons (IE, making Tali look unique so she stands out -like all other squadies- and the others have the same suit to save developement time and disk space)

I could have swore I read in one of the books that quarians decorate their suits to personalization, and indviduality. Can't remember where I read that though.
