*Edit, The intent was to never create an A.I. true. But baring intent aside an A.I. was created. Thus in the rest of the galaxy's eyes, Quarians betrayed council law. This provided a marvelous opportunity for the council to demonstrate to the rest of the galaxy, what happens when you meddle with A.I. Hence why the quarians didn't recieve any support from the council.

I would LOVE to know exactly how that vote went down to kcik them in the face.  Part of me likes a conspiracy theory I saw in a fanfic about it, where the Turians and Asari voted to let them die in order to preserve their respective dominance over the military and the economy.  The geth system would have given the quarians industrial capacity far ahead of anyone else, and military applications would have completely upended the status quo.

I might be an absolute paragon at heart, but I have nothing but contempt for the entire system of government that the Citadel and council represent.  The entire quarian storyline, combined with other events just shows that the council acts not in the interest of the galaxy, but in the interests of the Big 3, and everyone else can go hang.

The joys of a triumvirate. Personally I'd like to see some intra-council skulduggery in ME3.

I know that this topic has probably been argued into the dust, but have pity for those that have not been around as long. Is there any plausible speculation as to what Tali's unfinished business with Shepard is? It sounds a tad impersonal, more like an obligation rather than a properly developed LI. I was wondering whether ME2 LIs are getting sidelined to make room for a continuation of ME1 LI since they were so shy on horizon.

Scourge king, there's a point where enough is enough, and you've clearly passed it. Please stop your annoying fanboy gushing. You are part of the reason why this fandom is so hated. If you want the Tali fandom (and as an extension, Tali herself) to be respected again, you must stop posting your obsessive, hormonally induced drivel.

Agreed.

It's so bad that one starts to wonder if Scourge might be trying to make Tali fans look like idiots.

They do that and Edmonton burns.

As for it sounding like obligation, seriously, its Tali.  The girl is the epitome of the dutiful little quarian daughter, obligation has defined her life.

It's really quite plausible that skimping out on Tali content could be physically dangerous for Bioware, given the lengths some Tali fans go to (The slim minority, but still).

Though, I think anyone who romances Tali in ME2 and screws her over in ME3 should immediately get twice the maximum Renegade points allowed, have their face melt off into a Terminator skull, and have all of their allies (Except potentially the Geth) shriek and run in fear from their horridness.

Just sayin'.

I thought something like that too, but I think it was the asari taking advantage of that to hand the turians all dextro friendly worlds in exchange for military protection, so yeah a good conspiracy about how the council is evil and oportunist hehe. And yeah I agree with you, the idea of three (later 4) races holding so much power over others is disgusting IMO, no wonder the terminus dislike the council so much.

well the reason about Quarians being hated could've been prevented because the Quarians sent need for help to the council the council either rejected it or they simply hadnt even looked at it so it could have been prevented

Updated i mean to say is that they sent help to council for killing the geth and i think the council denied it or that they just simply threw it in the trash (deleted)

It seems that due to the lack of anything being permanent in ME3, that LIs will all have the same amount of opportunity to be romanced by Shep.

It is the confrontation between Tali and the ME1 LI (Ash) that I am interested in. With Liara, she just throws a mildly insulting comment at you, then gives you the choice to sleep with her or stay with Tali. But I get the feeling it will be developed a bit more in ME3, and that Bioware were limited with Liara because it was in DLC.

I still think that humanity should form an alliance with the Quarian people. Even after Tali assisted Shepard with destroying threats to the citadel and the galaxy Quarians are still treated as beggars and thieves. Humanity could help rebuild Rannoch if it is reclaimed. That would show the Council what it means to be human.

Alliances are forged for mutual purposes, as is,  the Quarians don't have much to offer anyone who allies with them.  As such,  I can't see humanity going out of it's way to help the space gyspsys particularly when it comes to reclaiming rannoch, which the galaxy perhaps correctly assumes could start the Mourning War mkII.

the council ignored the quarians simply so that the next time someone decides to tinker with A.I. they can go: oi moron look at dem quarians. Can't really say I blame the council. Accident or no quarians kinda brought it on themselves.
Not saying i hate quarians, my tendency to root for the underdog makes me biased on the issue, even though I attempt to stay subjective... or objective...i forget which

I still don't get how the space gypsy thing came up, to me they kinda remind me of muslims, especially that accent. But meh guess different people interpret differently

but yea i spent some time in bahrain, and for me it sounds pretty similar to a muslim accent. However its not based on just the accent. Most quarian ideologies based on the books kind of gives off a certain vibe that i associate with middle eastern communities.

the point was that a religion doesn't have an accent...ethnicities do...

it's not a Muslim accent but an Arab accent...for example, Dave Chapelle is Muslim but he doesn't have "that" accent...

Quarian accents vary greatly. We've seen Refined English, Gung-Ho Marine, err... Gypsy?, Arab, Russian... And probably more. It's pretty much safe to say that Quarians just always have an accent.

Though Tali's unique accent is the best, of course.

muslim ain't a religion bro, Islam is. Its just that all Muslim's tend to follow Islam. but this topic is going nowhere im pretty sure religion/race is taboo in character threads.
