Would people be that upset if the visor comes off and she's more human than you'd like?
Then she's no longer labeled "alien".

I totaly expect her to be modeled after Liz Sroka, partialy if not compleatly.
In my imagination she looks almost human thought her skin is pale and little transparent, plus i realy would like some hair on her. Some Aliens should have it - it makes sance any way since Ranoch wildlife lacked in insects, so nature needed to develop alternative means of spreading plant seeds. Hair are perfect for that.
Plus - of course slightly glowy white eyes
Sorry for a bit hectic response. Its late and I was in a hurry

Maybe something a little like this, but without the elf ears
Though I wouldn't be adverse to This.

This is what Tali should look like:
This would really push that idea of, "how alien could she look and you still be attracted to her?". Me ... that would take some getting used to and I'd probably prefer her in the suit ... but if you're Shep were to have a relationship with her, she would need to get used to the idea of how she really appeared. (especially since they had sex)
It would be weird hearing Tali's voice out of something so alien ... I mean, we expect alien - but there are degrees. On the other side of that, we don't want her being human either ...
It would be a struggle, but if she were the same ole Tali, I could learn to appreciate it.

Ahh yes, the "Repulse the fake 'mancer crowd so only the True Believers remain" look. <_<
I believe this will be about as likely as Bioware doing a proper job making thermal clips mesh well between gameplay and story instead of being a half-assed attempt at an "ammo" system. Can't win 'em all, I guess...

Not that I'm aware of and I've read the books. This looks like a good place to post this in-game image. I don't think, IMO, that they'll stray too far from this, but if they do it would be fine. My Shepard didn't fall for the looks. He fell for the Lady inside the envirosuit.elearon1 wrote...
Someone once commented that the books have quarians looking somewhat bird like, was this not the case?

In all seriousness though if the ME1 placeholder holds any credit, we can take that Quarian faces are indeed angular cheekbones are high, and wide, skin looks to have a muted color, eyes are at a different position than humans, and they have big noses.
Now we have that small window to see Quarian faces, they just need to add some bells and whistles around the unseen areas and they may be sufficiently alien.

Trolls like to poke around with "Tali's nosejob between ME1 and ME2", but the sad truth is, it's just a low-quality placeholder.

However it is also much harder to see under the ME2 visor, so I can't really pin down the details.
Also if Bioware were to give Tali a human face, I wouldn't be upset, just dissapointed. They have already proven to me that they can make great aliens, and somehow they have made some of them sexually attractive too. By giving Tali a human face I would just feel dissapointed that such creative and talented group can't figure out anything unique besides another human.

I like this one more.
Not too human, but still pretty.
I personally wouldn't even want her to be unmasked. I like the mystery.
I gotta ask: Who made that pic of Tali anyway? Anyone got a link or was in DeviantArt somewheres?
