I gotta ask: Who made that pic of Tali anyway? Anyone got a link or was in DeviantArt somewheres?
It's very well drawn but I don't dig the weird head... flap... spine... things... whatever the hell they're supposed to be.
Why do aliens always have weird **** like that on their heads? What evolutionary purpose does it serve?

This is what Tali should look like:
This one is looks much natural than to silly space elfs with feathers or any term of "near-humans". Sure, it's not pretty to look at for humans, but that's how it works with extraterrestrial life-forms. I mean, people have dated Garrus, you really should care about the character's feelings and shouldn't complain about the looks.
But I don't think BioWare would go for another bug-like aliens again, thay have already plenty of that in the universe (with exception of the Collectors, now extinct thanks to Shepard).

Except that it doesn't fit at all what has already been shown of Quarians so it doesn't work.
Furthermore even if we'd seen nothing of Quarians(100% Opaque visors, no books describing them) it wouldn't make much sense considering that Quarians are a) mammalian analogues
Oh and lets not forget that extremely alien looking aliens aren't necessarily any more likely than aliens which resemble humans, even if this wasn't a game. Evolution isn't entirely random, creatures evolve certain characteristics for a reason, put under similar circumstances 2 planets could evolve remarkably similar life via convergent evolution. So with that in mind I'm opposed to making Quarians look alien just for the sake of it(they shouldn't have random skin flaps or scales for no reason, if BioWare chooses a fairly alien design I'd like to feel like the alien design makes sense and wasn't simply an attempt to make them look alien)

Considering you can visibly see through Tali's helmet that her eyes are in the same location & shape as a human's, glowing silver, with a human-like nose, that pic is pretty pointless. Well-drawn, but pointless.

General location. Tali's eyes are actually in different position than a humans, and from what we have been shown her face is far more angular as well, especially in the cheek bones. Thier eyes are also MUCH smaller but wider, and we have yet to be told if the eyes naturally glow or not.
Still there is plenty of room to make an alien looking Tali. Bioware has given me confidence of that much.

I was just saying, we know she's not a chitinous bug with 3"-wide, black & orange eyes and an upside-down Yagh mouth. Amirite?
Okay, we don't know about that mouth, but Shepard seemed pretty damned happy to be on the receiving end of that Tali Pounce. I know I was jealouz.

roughly the same as humans, 150 years would be a 'good' lifespan.sitesunseen wrote...
Has anyone heard or read somewhere about a Quarians lifespan ?. know Solairians are 40 to 50 yrs i think, krogan and Asari are what a 1000? Turian and Quarian not sure anyone?
not being able to see past the mask. How do you guys/girls interpret the thing she says about " looking past
THIS" ... reference to the mask making her anonymous or unattractive or
what's underneath?

I think she is saying that Shepard, being a human, would probably never want to see past not only the cage she is forced to wear, but also the fact that she is a quarian.

u know that fanmod where we got to slap morrigan? we need a me3 mod where we hug tali.
I like the way you think.
Or maybe Bioware should just put that in the game? Click on Tali, and you have a hug option.

Awww...
But you could nuzzle your nose against that flat... plate thing where her's is... run your fingers delicately over those spires on her shoulder... scratch gently on her carapace in the same way you would run your fingers over soft, smooth skin...

I like my women to be soft and quishy. Like a marshmellow. Not a polished rock.

You have no imagination.
Dear God, what you could do with a turian woman. Claws digging into your back... mandibles fluttering in ecstacy... flanging moans...
What's not to like? Not to mention you could do it rough and it wouldn't even scratch her.
Humans are soft and squishy. Where you supposed to get a decent grip?

I'm quite adventurous, but turians just aren't my thing. They look like emanciated holocaust survivors.
