Alright, you guys seem to really wanna know. Don't get mad at me.

The way to put an end to this is by discussing s/s Tali romance.

because it should be obvious to anyone that revealing such sensible info can cause a schism.

Really, based on what? Tell me your thoughts.

How come concealing the info won't also cause a schism? It's not like hiding it solves any of the issues being debated.

Make kasumi BI for ME3 and she'll give Tali lap dances.

There I said it. begin countdown of catastrophic thread meltdown.

Guys, stay on topic. No thread meltdowns, no crack discussions. Read the OP and think of something intelligent to say. If you have nothing then leave and go post in the off topic section. This bull**** is getting out of hand and it needs to stop here. Good grief.

I'm having this amazing flashback to the earlier threads when you would react like this every single time something off-topic happened.

You're refreshingly consistent.

You keep posting sexy pictures of Tali and you're going to attract all the lesbian and bisexual women to this thread. That said, you should continue to post sexy pictures of Tali.

Rael is dead. Everyone directly involved with what he was doing is dead, as a direct result of their actions.

No it doesn't. The next of kin will still be suffering as a result of Rael's actions. They deserve to know the truth and to know that justice was carried out. If that justice is Rael being exiled in death then so be it. He brought it upon himself with his recklessness.

Rael wouldn't be exiled in death unless the Quarians have some problems with basic sanity in their legal system.

There's a reason why attempted suicide is a crime, but suicide is not.  A sane legal system doesn't bring charges against dead people.  Likewise, say I discovered that Martin Luther King had faked his own death in order to make himself a martyr, would that change the good he did before he died?  12 people died in the riots after his death.  Would it be "justice" to ruin what King accomplished during his life so that the families of those dead could "know the truth" that he actually died 3 decades later in his sleep?  Certainly nobody's going to charge him with a crime now, so what would be accomplished?

The trial in ME2 was to determine if Tali was guilty of treason.  Rael wasn't charged because he was assumed to be (and as it happens, actually was) dead... and charging dead people with crimes tends to be a huge waste of time and effort.

As such, evidence of Rael's guilt was only relevant to prove Tali's innocence - and since it wasn't needed to do so, there was nothing to be gained by bringing it up.  With Tali declared innocent, it would be as relevant as proof that LBJ had Kennedy killed.

They'd have very good reason to exile him and while I do admire his dedication to his people, his recklessness could have killed people beyond his ship. Hell, on its own it nearly sparked a war when Legion found out about it. I sympathize with Tali, but that doesn't make her right.

Hes dead though.... so he wont be getting punished at all. Only Tali will. Actually all the quarians will.

Tali will get over it with time. Meanwhile the family members of those killed by Rael will have closure and know that justice was served rather than having the person whose stupidity got their loved ones killed had his crime swept under the rug to protect his VIP daughter.

Wouldnt they be essentially getting that closure anyway? Wouldnt they all assume it was Talis fault? Thats the way it seems afterwards. Also, they all knew the risks when they got involved did they not? It wasnt just Rael that was responsible.

No, because they'll never know what happened there. Nobody will except Tali, Shepard, and possibly Han Gerrel. The truth will have been covered up.
