Fair enough. But realistically, I'm in agreement with your final sentence.

I do think something's up, and I do think it's a bigger deal than just "trolololol". Problem is, it may be so deeply connected to the overall story of the third game that even a reveal would be a massive spoiler.

Just had a disturbing thought.

If this was an accidental leak, as in wasn't going to be shown (At least, not this early), and there's not hide nor quill of Tali, not even a mention... Huh. Maybe it would be a massive spoiler, like you say, but I get the feeling they're still mucking about with the Tali-related content, working and such.

They probably haven't decided on a look for Tali yet. She will also likely be contained to the quarian/geth plot and that may still be early in development.

In development? It's November. They should be putting the finishing touches on the campaign and looking to developing and improving the Matchmaking.

apparently plotwise the game is already done (a comment by chris or someone else on twitter), and its now on a process of "cleanup" and revisions (checking everything feels well paced)

"Plot" does not mean they have actually built the levels and such.

most likely they have already if they didnt they wouldnt be able to be testing them like they say they are (at least the conversations parts, gameplay parts may still be on work)

They have, the game has to be ready to be physical made by at least late January. If Bioware wasn't ready they wouldn't of released the demo in January and give people an early access.

I get the feeling that the game is gonna get delayed. I also predict a budget overrun as well.

dont jinx it about the delay...I cant endure another one. Well unless it is to make the game even better, though I will still hate them for it.

Quite remarkable that 320 pages of forum discussion can be produced on a topic (Tali) about which so little is known. Could someone tell me what exactly is known - maybe with a degree of certainty modifyer - about Tali in ME3?

She, at one point or another, can be on the squad.

...

This is what we know.

I don't think she's going to be a full time squadmate like Garrus, Vega, ect...

If Garrus is going to be a full-time squadmate, then so should Tali, considering the fact the inumerable fans that both characters have compared to all the rest. I also get the feeling that all characters from ME1 will be full-time squadmates.

Wrex won't be.

And I thought her full-time squad status was confirmed?

It was, along with everyone else on the Squad (except Wrex) as well as Vega.

That was many months ago, though. A few months afterward we got the bit about "Nobody's permanent", and things may have changed since. Hopefully not though, I'd rather that the very small percentage of truly disturbing Talimancers didn't burn down Bioware HQ.

Technically, I believe Casey Hudson used the expression "main characters and squad members" for Vega, Liara, Tali, Garrus and the VS.

Later, for Tali specifically, he said that "you can recruit Tali to your squad, but nothing is permanent." So, I believe they've avoided the terms "permanent" and "full-time" for the most part. Whether there is any distinction from previous squad functionality in actual practice is hard to say at this point.

I understand if it's very optional whether to take them along or not, but if you've completed all of their content to their satisfaction and made the right decisions (potentially sacrifices), I don't see why you couldn't keep your two best squaddies with you long-term. Seems Liara and Garrus are free for every damn part of the game so far, I have no idea why Tali wouldn't be, particularly if she's Exiled. Any returning romance should have the option to be permanent, if you meet the criteria.

This is what we know about Tali. Read it so everyone will stop asking.

~She's in Mass Effect 3 if you keep her alive in ME2

And that's it! That's the real, confirmed, what Casey Hudson personally signed, will sell on ebay, what Occupy Wall Street will agree on, piece of real information on Tali.

"Bioware, any new information on Tali?"
"No"
Posted Image

That's been the story for everyday, every week, every month, even before the delay.

...

Now stop asking.

I can see why Garrus and Liara would be permanent squadmates. Garrus is a fan favorite and Liara is BW's Mary Sue. It wouldn't make sense to not include Tali as a permanent member of the squad considering that even her popularity surpasses that of Garrus a bit.

There was no mention of tali that i've seen from that beta leak. Only quarian seen is in the multiplayer select screen. LOTS of fans are getting alittle aggravated for the lack of anything tali related for me3. I'll say it once more... I trust Bioware won't let her fans down.

I don't think so. Garrus and Miranda are the most used squadmates in ME2, not Tali.

It's too bad because I find Tali a lot more useful than Miranda. Her drone is always useful, especially on higher difficulties, and Miranda's damage out-put is overrated.
