The thing is, Miranda's own damage output is pretty sub-par. Her passive is intended to make up for that, however on higher difficulties it doesn't really matter either way. Enemy defenses won't go down that quickly and her health boost won't save anyone.

However Tali's drone getting an enemy or even several enemies to stop shooting, if only for a few seconds, is more useful. It saves you and your squad for damage and as I said it lets you unleash hell. It's great to give you a chance to use one of the slower heavy weapons. It's also great for escaping from an enemy who has managed to get close to you.

In my experience Tali really only shines on the the higher difficulties.

spec her shield drain in insanity where EVERYTHING has a shield and u have a sqauddie that rivals me1 wrex.

Tali was in most cases, the best squaddie in ME1.

she almost never died (for me, though I never played above Hardcore I think) with those godlike shields she had and I always gave her a HMSG shotgun with Explosive Rounds and watch her Mako Cannon entire rooms

I agree. Her and Garrus wer my favorites. Also it's been a very long time since I've been on these forums.

I hate Tali's LM as an Infiltrator. The small confined places and short distances and the annoying Geth Hunters made that really annoying. I hate dealing w/ enemies at range.

Playing as a soldier, I felt like the squadmate selection made things easier but I could still get by, bringing who I wanted to bring as opposed to who had the best skillset for that particular mission. Tali's shield drain made things easier, but there is not a lot that can stand up to my adrenaline rush+Mattock.

A Russian website leaked a massive, *massive* amount of information on ME3. I read it, of course. I suggest you lot don't go looking for it, you'll regret it. And I don't mean that in a way to say anything is good or bad, it's just that you'll regret that you didn't find out whatever happens while you played.

Seriously. Don't.

I'd wager it's a possibility that there might have been extensive dialogue tables in the beta build that was leaked. If that's the case, it wouldn't be too tough to rip the files apart and dig it out, and would also explain why BW was as upset as they were.

It's just too well-done to be a mistake.

And just DON'T do it. Tali, Geth-Quarian relations, romance dialogue, it's all there. And you *really* want to wait and hear it on-screen and not ruin the experience, whatever it may be. I couldn't exactly help it, my curiousity is like a goddamned mental handicap, but just Don't. Do it.

I won't but thanks to the genius OP who put spoilers in the title, I'm now vaguely aware of squadmate status.

Wasn't really a concern for me, I can handle waiting for the game to release. I imagine there's going to be a good chunk of people that can't resist though, suppose it just means I'm going to have to be careful about what I do and don't read, since this forum doesn't support spoiler tags.

I'm not really surprised by that. As far as I'm concerned BioWare made that abundantly apparent, even if they didn't outright say it.

Sounds like I need to take a hike from BSN until ME3 is released. Tali or no Tali. I imagine the offiicial ME3 page and Bioware Pulse will have to do for now.

Bioware confirmed it by saying "Most of it was outdated".

So it's old info, but would they really have re-written that much plot? Unlikely. So still don't read it.

I kind of thought the same thing at first, but this thread seems safe enough. I'm just going to stay the hell out of general and try to limit my viewing on the whole. People seem pretty level headed in this thread, so as long as no one drops anything just to be a dick, I don't think I'll need to recuse myself from the forums.

It's a good thing the amount of active Tali-haters has dropped, or else this thread would likely be troll'd by people angry they spoiled it for themselves.

Damn, Bioware's got to be angry over this.

I think BW may end up pushing back the launch date and they'll probably incur a budget overrun, which EA isn't going to be too happy about. That's gonna ****** a lot of people off. Well, if it happens, at least it won't be like Blizzard where everyone had to wait 12 years for SC2.

If this turns about to be a SCII rerun, someone is going to burn. I waited near 60% of my lifespan for that game, and it turned out to be pretty lame.

I doubt they'll push anything back. They probably can't afford any sort of massive script revisions at this point due to the leak, so anyone that spoils things for themselves (however outdated the script may be) is probably just going to have to live with it.

It sucks, and it completely explains why they were upset about it, but there's not much that can be done.
