I dont think anyone is hoping for that... but it wouldnt be difficult to make her truthful to the placeholder, but still make her alien. I never liked that picture because it literally is a human.

Ya I saw that a long time ago. I also posted that in the Tali face thread. It is my favourite Tali pic. I think the artist even said they knew virtually nothing about the lore when designing the face. What I also like is that it is also looks similar to what we can see of Tali. The only real things that are likely wrong are the ears.

I've described it numerous times. All she needs are funky eyes. Eyes that will slightly put her in the uncanny valley for us, emphasizing that she is not quite human.

She would have so have some semblance of a human being otherwise everyone would be repulsed. We wouldn't even know what a real according to Hoyle alien, b/c we've never seen one before and they probably wouldn't resemble us in any way shape or form unless they have a common genetic background.

I agree with saphra, the way the placeholder was used in me2 shows that quarians were intended to be human-like aliens, something in the eyes, remembering that their ears are supposed to be quite different from us and their body shape plus some skin tone variations should make them alien enough.
Also agree that at this point that aliens with hair or something like it will actually be more surprising than yet another alien with head fringes

They are biased agaisnt Renegade in general, and anyone who has read the leaked documents has seen the proof.

That wasn't really what I was talking about though. I was talking about the quarian/geth conflict. The dialog they have written for it is quite blatant about it.

I still think something along the lines of a Drell would have been a good design for the Quarians. It was both human and alien enough to satisfy most on each side of the argument.

I'm hoping that there's more alien features than just the eyes. Some kind of textural difference with the skin would be nice. It doesn't have to be anything major I just don't want an Asari 2.0
