He might be referring to the Reaper War finishing soon. We *do* only get her near the end of the recruitments, it seems (RAGE).

We have to do the recruitments in a specific order? I had hoped that the game wouldn't be so linear, and we could hit Rannoch straight out of Mars (with Palaven immediately following, of course).

Seriously? Why are they limiting are recruitment orders again? It just feels so... unnecessary. I always hated that forced recruitment order in ME2.

Well I don't mind about forced recruitment order as it seems that you have chance to recruit all recruitable characters quite early in the game and much much earlier than in ME2. (Well if the final version is anything like this leaked script version.)

So, I'm not worried. :)

So while the order is forced, all characters are gained early on?

Maybe because ME3 is more fast-paced, without the feeling of leisurely zooming around the Galaxy mining planets and looking at anomalies? He might be referring to the Reaper War finishing soon. We *do* only get her near the end of the recruitments, it seems (RAGE).

I don't get it anymore. When does Rannoch/Geth-Quarian War mission becomes available? Near the point of no return? Or eariler? When does Palaven happens?

That the impression I have got from the mess of text (as it's really mess as you could have some stuff from Earth and suddenly something from end game).

Other idea, which support this is that quite mane mission on the game seems to have as many different dialogue options as there would be sqaudmates. For example, "They should have run!". There is eight variations of that type of lines, which refer to fact that you have eight different squadmember with that particular mission.

And there are quite lot of similar situation in the leaked script.

Also Tali's recruitment mission will have a lot of great lines, which easily covers the fact that her recruit mission might be the last one of all (but that's just my impression), but still quite early on the game.

So, I wouldn't really worry.

To be fair, Legion has dialogue in almost every part of ME2.

I'm not saying there's reason to suspect anything 'bad' about how late into the game Tali joins (and I haven't read the spoilers either, so please don't respond with spoilers if you have information that refutes my claim) but rather that we should always be prepared for any eventuality.

I was under the impression that it's possible to go to Rannoch very early on after leaving Earth/Mars. I think it's more like how it was in ME1, that you could visit all worlds right away in any order, as opposed to the semi-railroading we saw in ME2.

That's wonderful news. I love ME2 but I think for ME3's plot to work to its fullest potential it would be better off taking more cues from ME1's direction.

That possible. After all the text is really huge mess and there is no logical order in there.

However some events seems to follow each others and they might not happen without some other mission leasing to them. So, it could be that all recruit missions are something, you need to do in pretty much tight order, but after that it's free control for player. Also even if you do all this recruit missions in row, it's still very early in the game, even if Tali's recruit mission would be last of them.

But I can't be sure of anything as like I have said, the text is mess.

If anything, I would say that ME3 would mix between ME1 and ME2 in that regard. Some things you need to do in certain order, but then you have a free control until the end/ some "forced" story event, like Collectors ship was in ME2.

The core squad consists of eight characters.

Tali, Garrus, Ashley/Kaidan, Liara, Vega and two other characters I won't reveal, since it'd be massive spoilers.

The other squadmates are jumping in to provide support from time to time.

I wouldn't worry about Tali being absent too much.

As someone who's been worrying about this very thing (and who has been trying to avoid all the leaks and spoilers like the plague), I only have one thing to say to this news..... Halle-freaking-lujah! :D

(Although if Kaidan/Ashley only count as one character technically, wouldn't that mean that there are actually only 7 core squadmates?)

I'm also gonna hope that that's indeed the case for the missions, or at least as far as "squadmate recruitment" missions go. As much as I love ME2, some of the rigid/linear nature some mission progressions (namely the recruitment mission order) that the game had always kinda rubbed me the wrong way, definitely prefer that aspect of freedom that ME displayed.
Plus, I just wanna get Tali back on my team early on this time. ^_^

I would love to be able to go anywhere like I could in ME that was fun I actually try hard after becoming a spector to get Wrex's armor right out the gate its fun to go int there run them down with my mako and surprise Wrex before he even knows he wanted the armor. His dialogue changes and its better then waiting for him to ask me.

But with regards to Rannoch its in geth space I think you should get blown up if you try to get to Rannoch before negotiations are made just because of where it is. We should also run into issues, guaranteed ship battles, ect if we try to go to the Batarian homeworld or its solar system since these guys hate humans with a passion. I would also like conversations to change if we go out of order for instance say we need to get a someone to do something specific on planet 42 but we go in ahead anyway the crew will mention how it would be alot easier if we got so and so and then shep can say we're doing this and so and so is going to make it happen so later in game we go to the world to get person Y we needed prior for planet 42 but since we figured it out we no longer need them and we can tell them that says something smart like we heard you were good but my crew member so and so was better so we wont' be needing your services and then we can replace his spot on crew with someone we think is more qualified.

It seems like each conflict zone also act as a recruitment mission, so you'll just be forced to do maybe one or two missions until you're given free hands and then you can go and help the quarians, recruiting Tali in the process.

Because of everything I've seen, Tali is absent from like two-three missions, which also seems to happen early and probably acts as glorified tutorial levels.

What ever the case, I will be doing that mission as soon as possible. I really hope that mission available before the middle of the game.

Hear hear. Though to be honest, if she's a bit further into the game, that just gives me more impetus to get through the initial stages of ME3 as quickly as possible. Seriously, the first time through ME2, I beat it in a week (attended to my normal responsibilities, but sacrificed sleep), and used Tali-relevant activities as my checkpoints for when to stop playing, having been satisfied. End of Freedom's Progress (what a pleasant surprise to run into her *right* away!), end of Haestrom, end of her loyalty mission, then straight on through to the Collector Base. Good times.

I've promised to myself that on March 6, I will not stop playing the game until Tali is on the Normandy. If this means I have to stay up all night, then so be it.

As someone who habitually deprives himself of sleep when important things come up (and getting Tali back on the squad is most definitely top priority... unless I've a project due the next day, which I probably will :bandit:), I can really get behind this statement. I like how you think. ^_^

Hey guys, so did you hear from the spoilers that Legion will inevitably die due to Tali? What do you guys make of that?

Depressing, as I like Legion. However, I will reserve judgement until the game comes out as the spoilers could all be wrong.

A line from the leak.
"Tali falls to her knees, crying."
Just reading this line made me sad. I hope I don't see it in my play through.:crying:

Don't worry.

You'll only see that one if you're after it.

Here, have another dialogue about Tali:

Joker: Good to have Tali back, even if it's just for a bit. Although every time you call her Miss vas Normandy, I kinda expect to see her walking around with a tiara and a sash.

She's also very impressed by the sight of Rannoch, so I think it'll all be worht it.

Can we PLEASE keep spoilers off this forum? or at least this thread?:(

Kindly knock that off, sir or madame. Whether or not it's true, character deaths and causes are too far into spoiler territory. A certain link in your sig also leads me to believe you may not have particularly good intentions here either. Just sayin'.

Right. But it is true. And about 3/4 of the ME community knows about it from the leak.

The MJmancer has a point. many people know that there is a possibility that Legion may die. Assuming the `spoilers` are correct that is. I mean its not like Bioware actually said not to take everything seriously from the `leaked beta.` Its not like they could have been misinterpreted at all. I think people really just need to wait for ME3 before they make conclusions. A lot of complaining latley has been rather unwarranted.

Those who actually can read can see that there are many ways Legion can bite the dust. Tali is just one of them.
