Magnus, he's not doing it to get a rise out of normal Tali fans, and so you shouldn't take offence to it; There are very few people on this particular thread that it actually applies to. If you need an example of just who he's talking about, go find Scourge King's posts. I suppose it's possible he was an exceptionally good troll, but I have a bad feeling he was serious.

My main point is that I find the attitude of some Tali fans disappointing, that they jump at the first chance to reject and denounce their own. So, yeah, we have a few cases who are a bit out there. So do other fanbases. They still don't get random trolls invading their threads from our fandom.

Hold your head high, guys, you liking Tali is nothing to be ashamed of.

But I'm perfectly happy to point out how disturbing certain fans are (who are in the minority). Supporting people that obnoxious would be an insult to the BSN, and lower the credibility of anyone who liked Tali. I certainly wouldn't say ill of nearly everyone who's contributed to this thread, and Arcian isn't aiming it at most of us. Take another look at the 10k+ thread, Magnus, and see what he's talking about.


It's quite nice that nowadays people who like Tali are nearly unanimously cool people, who don't troll other fanbases (Err, well, I don't do it *seriously*), and are generally easy to be around. Even if the number of people contributing is substantially smaller and the thread crawls through the pages by comparison.


Which we could be helping. I mean, look at the other appreciation/discussion/whatever threads =P

I am all in favor of policing our own, because every faction has annoying members. But I dislike the idea of agreeing with a wide generalization of Tali fans as somehow being horrible fanboys and so on, which is what we are getting much of the time. I certainly dislike someone calling Tali fans "peasants" or "plebeians", even if he means only a small sub-segment.

You got that right. Consistent bashing of Tali fandom has done it's job to the extent that the "Talimancers are creepy" motto became a "common knowledge". So when someone saying something like: "Well everybody know that Talimancers are stupid, obsessive, etc, but that's bad Tali fans, and you all here are good fans, so let's bash the bad ones together!" - he will get some support.

technically almost everyone here is OT. However, I will say this one last time.... more fans= more abusive fans. Proportion wise Talifans are little different than other fans. So stop singling them out.

I doubt Tali will be just a blip in ME3, they been cooking up the Creator and Geth issue. I think that some sort of resolution will be key in how well they both deal with the reaper threat. We may see her as an admiral, if Shepard will be marshaling entire races rather than just individuals.

i see that happening too. since she one of big members she will be in your party for a bit then i think take off leading a group of her race and a group of geth to fight the reaper

i think ive mentioned this before but its worth repeating. when the game comes out. this is where everybody will flock. those who havent seen tali's face.
