The good news is that Carnage is back! Though I disagree with you on that that shotguns are useless in ME2, the Claymore is wonderful in the hands of a vanguard, even the soldier can do great with it, the scimitar is my favourite defense-stripper. The katana and eviscerator and the bread and butter of my sentinel. And the GPS is just god-like, love that weapon for Tali. Stylish weapon for a stylish quarian.

the problem with shotguns is that they're only effective within kissing range (excluding the GPS). Once the bullets fly farther than the range of Shepard's melee attack, they see a huge drop in damage output. Plus the spread is just terrible.

I know we get to choose any weapon for anybody now, but I just can't give tali anything other than a pistol and shotgun. It just doesn't feel right.

It would be like bringing along garrus without a sniper rifle.

Yeah, its the same with shep. Anyone can bring any weapon. Also apparently for shep there is no limit to how many weapons you can bring no matter your class. Which annoys me since I am finding it harder and harder to justify playing as a soldier outside of sci-fi nostalgia.

Edit: Ah I should mention there are penalties for doing this that are not fully understood yet. You can also have multiple heavy weapons (I.E. shep can have both the widow and the revenant at the same time, again penalties for doing this though.)

I have seen some pretty interesting shotguns in the script, though, so I'm not so worried.

There's even a pistol that acts like a shotgun by firing six shots at once.

It looks like Tali has worked out a way to improve the Normandy's stealth system in ME3 to make it last longer.

And how to make it so the drive core won't overload and incinerate everyone in the room the second the shields takes too much damage.

About a year late, but it's the thought that counts.

 This is coming a bit late, but, Casey Hudson posted to Twitter a few hours ago asking fans that if BioWare could focus on only one Romance for Shepard in Mass Effect 3 who would be at the top of list. Frankly, there are far fewer Talis then there should be. Snap to it Talimancers!

yea there's nothing to gain by spamming twitter and the twitter thread with "Tali! " posts...if we don't do anything, nothing will happen. If we do spam the interwebz, we get attacked by the entire ME fandom. However if 80,000 people of any OTHER 'mance decides to do the same then nothing happens to them...

Well, I didn't expect an element of trepidation or outright fear of repercusions for showing Tali Love in spades; I guess the Tali Community has just changed too much; don't mean that in a condescending manner, I guess I'm just sad to see a lack of enthusiasm. I've seen first hand how bad certain Talimancers could be in regards to making everyone else look, well, not so great, but I just figured since Casey was asking we could show that Tali still reigns supreme in regards to Popularity. Don't think we should shove it down people's throats by going into other threads and such, but letting the Twitter-Verse, and Casey, know just how strong Tali's place in the MEU is never seems like a waste. Ah well.

No squeeing or general enthusiasm is allowed, Glenboy, especially about Tali, unless fully sanctioned by the self nominated forum gods.

Seriously though.  I think Bioware are already aware of her popularity, hence why I think tweets like that are pretty damn stupid and divisive and only serve as a call to arms for fandumb wars.
