Well, she thinks the rachni are just as creepy as spiders, which is why she brought it up while she and Garrus are discussing the toughest enemies they've faced.
How she knows what spiders looks like is beyond me, though.

Well I was thinking typical curly bushy Cheery Littlebottom of the discworld books type, but whatever floats your boat. Tenticles could be cool looking, and would mean they could control their enviro suits with their faces, which would be useful

Actually a beard would make Sense for that whole no insects on rannoch thing. Plant produces edible regrowing fruit surrounded by pollen, Quarian eats it, gets pollen in beard, moves on to next plant and fertilises it. IT ALL MAKES SENSE!

Or they could just have hair on their legs or upper body, where even more seeds and pollen can gather.
