I can't play multiplayer unless I can access it without internet. Five gig capp at 10kps per second isn't exactly multiplayer material.

Hello BSN, and Tali'Zorah thread. Long-time lurker stopping in to
finally start posting things and chatting it up... for some reason. I've been
avoiding my involvement in the forums for a few months, since the Mass Effect
bug bit me again with renewed vigor. After much eye rolling and
wringing-of-hands I finally conceded so that maybe, just maybe, the agony of
the wait could be slightly assuaged.

I've been watching
you, BSN, I've been watching you for so long....

 I'm surprised (?) at the amount of mud-slinging and venom-spewing that's
been going on. The my character is better than your
character
this, and Bawww this game I haven't played yet is automatically awful
because I read a scrambled .txt leak file
 that. It's amazing that a
simple game cause so much rage and discontent. Everyone is willing to virtually
cut throats and verbally burn down buildings because of some lines of code,
sound effects and pretty pixelated images. This is truly the ugly side of how
you can pick out a good game from the rest of the chaff. There seems to be some
sane, rational people on the boards at least and (ironically due to the
pervasive stigma) some of them seem to post here in this thread often.

    As for Tali, I'd
have to say she's my favorite character of the series, along with Garrus. Well
written character, interesting background, motivations, and more D'AWW moments
than I've ever had in a videogame. I guess that's all the thread-relevant words
I can plonk down at the moment. I look forward to being stigmatized,
stereotyped, and lynched by other members of the opposing opinion in the near
future for being a "wretched Talimancer".

And someone needs
to put Marty Feldman's face into one of those "Tali reveal" pics. Old
joke, but still awesome. My photoshop skills are lacking.

Welcome! I'm new as well, and a fellow lurker. I also agree that this flame war is childish. However, with a game like Mass Effect, there is no way you wouldn't  be able to make people angry. The characters are all richly detailed and everyone is concerned how they're favorites will be shown in Mass Effect 3 because it is the end of the series.
However, insulting others for they're favorite character is extremely low.

I really dont want to play multiplayer... but if it will help me get the best playthrough, I may have to. -snip-

You don't need to play multiplayer to get the best ending in the single player campaign.

I know they said that. However, I dont always do all the sidequests.

I love the mass effect series and Tali is my favorite character and I'm not a hormonally challenged teenager. although I wish the series was around when i was a teenager. Thats a stupid stereotype indeed.

ever hear of epinephrine? norepinephrine? seratonin? dopamine? human growth horomone? insulin? cortisol? testosterone? estrogen? histamines? if you are alive, these things are in your body, right now.

Really...? If this was what you wanted to say, you failed, because what you said was that we were all sexually attracted to Tali.

I have to disagree there. You can interpret his sentence like that but he did not say Tali fans are sexually attracted to Tali.

EVERYONE is influenced by these hormones all the damn time. I can just about guarandamntee you experience just about all of these every day. Teenagers and adolescents are just more likely to have an imbalance. But everyone always leaves out aldosterone.... poor aldosterone.

*pats dejected aldosterone on the head*

*also doesn't like the attitude that some people think they need to 'fix' the fanbase*.

Oh, great, every time I come on here people are insulting Tali fans again... *sighs*

Anyway, I can say that all the teenagers I know that play Mass Effect are actually fans of Liara, not Tali. There's nothing more or less mature about fans of Tali than any other character.

I'm 21 years old, so the same goes here, because if I was a teenager, I'd still be growing taller.

Unfortunately, that's not always true. I stopped growing taller at around 15. Kept hoping that I'd eventually start growing again, but now that I've reached adulthood I guess it's not going to happen.

I'm 35, and I'm not hormonally driven to like Tali.
