In any case, it is safer for all parties involved to have fornax than to have searched for "Quarians gone wild" on the extranet. Tali would find out about the latter in a second, but would she even know what dirty mags are? Though i'm sure Tali can't blame shep for galactopedia'ng quarians so he can be sure they can, well, have sexy time.

Checking the extranet would be safer but any pre-knowledge that Shepard had would only cheapen their conversation about seeing past the helmet.
We, as players, have no real idea what Tali looks like but we fully accept her as a LI.  I just roleplayed to ensure my Shepards were honest to her.
And I'm not going to try to guess what Tali would have done.   That's what fanfics are for.  :)

Right. That's my point. Tali has the aforementioned strong sexual appitite. As such, if she *is* with Shepard, she probably wouldn't mind him, likewise, having a strong libido as long as he's faithful to her. If he looks at something like Fornax because he wants to be reminded how amazing Quarian women look in the buff, so be it.

Tali buying a nerve-stim? Well, even she can get bored once in a while, I guess.

Especially when Shepard spends like half a year in custody after ME2.

Similarly, I always buy Fornax, even if I'm playing as FemShep.

Edit: Actually, I just realized that since Fornax isn't specifically about quarians anyway, that really isn't relevant at all.

No. It still kind of is. At least in regards to what Quarians look like being *fairly* well known by people in the greater galactic community due to Fornax being pretty well spread out and on the Extranet.

Tali just loves Shepard, is just that is harder for her in the alternate universe of FemShep.

Why does he/she spend so long on Earth anyway? I guess it's basically just another contrived "time skip" plot device, just like the Lazarus Project?

Well, that and I guess picking the Normandy apart and putting it back together with some upgrades takes time.

Funny enough, the Reaper attack on Earth starts June 6, 2186.

Half a year? I don't think that's right. It's actually only a few months, that doesn't equate half a year. Don't quote me on that, I'd have to recheck the Script...

So what's Shepard doing this whole time? Just sitting around being bored?

I actually kinda like these. It almost ties the story into real time, giving the illusion that the universe is still "alive" while you were gone and waiting for the next game to come out.

Reading Fornax and attempting to keep the ships bar stocked. After being jailed... staring at a wall I guess.

At least the time on Earth is believable and not the utter travesty of the lazarus project.

And there damn well better be emails at least, if not a voice mail, from Tali (or any LI for that matter) for Shepard stating why BW failed to have them there during the trial.

Phase inspections, where an aircraft is essentially stripped down to individual components, can take months. That's just for inspection purposes and replacement of worn parts, and maybe a small dynamic component upgrade or two. Stripping down something many times that size not only for inspection but also retrofitting and reverse-engineering parts, well....

Because they were barred from entering the trial, because humans are racist. YOU HUMANS ARE ALL RACIST!

Isn't is customary/legally required to allow relatives of those involved to be able to witness judicial proceedings? That is, unless it is a pure military court. In which case, we might not even get extranet access. And I'd consider Tali to be a relative like a spouse. For obvious reasons.

I'd assume that it goes much faster in the future. In fact, the Normandy is missing a few pieces that you have to find/make Tali replace once you get it back. :P

The reason I even mention the LI at the trial is this.
BW has made a ridiculously big point of stating that if you 'cheated' on your LI in 1 then there will be consequences.  Okay, fine.  Apparently, to BW at least, a LI is MORE than just a simple booty call before the battle.  It has real meaning and substance to the characters.  That being said, show me someone that close to another that would not either be right there with them or doing everything they could to attempt to communicate?

Again, this is not just about Tali, but about all the LI's.  Even if denied access to the hearing/trial/BBQ, the LI would have made some contact.

That is, unless the writers are all pimply faced nerds awaiting their own first dates.  As a married man, I know what I would have done even before I said 'I do'.

Lol, yeah.

Missing pieces? Another reason for Shep to be pissed off at phase crew. Art imitating life I suppose...

Yeoman/Adjutant on the new Normandy: "Commander, you have one-thousand, three-hundred and forty-six messages at your private terminal, nine-hundred and fifty-two from Zorah, Tali."

I believe with strong certainty that Patrick Weekes is married (to a BioWare editor, no less), so you probably don't have to worry about that. ^_^

No, it'll be "commander, Tali wishes to speak to you in your quarters" and then you go up there and can't find her, and then she POUNCES ON YOUR BACK, traps you on the bed, then proceeds to alternate between slapping you and making out. Did I mention she was wearing lengerie? I've thought about ME3 too much.

Ah, so THIS is why you guys keep depicting her as an abusive b*tch in fanart and fanfics.

Ah, killjoy.

There's still a decent number of relatable analogues written into the fictional universe though.

I guess I'm not missing anything by avoiding fanfics then...
